  1. Can anyone tell me who is singing in the promo for "ashes" for Rescue Me

  2. OMG, I've been a lover of RESCUE ME since it began and a part of me knew that the series might end with the deaths of beloved characters (llooking at you Tommy Gavin) but I don't know if I'm going to be able to watch.  My own hubby is a Chicago firefighter and my greatest nightmare is seeing his chief show up at our door with that bad news.  I'm also afraid of his dress uniform for the same reason--I know that if he dies on duty, it will be his shroud.

Kudos to Denis Leary for producing such compelling, realistic drama and for making it so lifelike--funny, maddening, touchingly sad and real all at the same time.

  4. Thank You so very much!  You rock the knowledge,  Awesome song...It struck an immeadiate chord, right to the heart ya know? I don't want to even know how the next episode is going to be spun....Leary portrays such gut wrenching realisim.  I don't know that I will be able to watch "Ashes"  But this Song by Adele 'Set fire to the rain' tore at my heart..Thank You for getting back once again

  6. Awesome promo! :)
One of my favorite series of all time coming to an end! Its gonna be kinda weird watching the very last episode, but at the same time it's a good thing it's all coming to a conclusion!
    Can't wait to watch!

  8. Thanks for informing me. Love this song. They always pick the best songs to use that fit the show/promos perfectly.

  9. everyone is gonna die...they want u to feel what some of us felt on the real 9/11, we have become attached to these characters.

  10. Hey Tina.  I know--that 62 Truck helmet on top of the casket chokes me up every time. Plus, the 9/11 anniversary is going to be hard on everyone, especially the firefighters, family and friends all left behind.

I'm sure the episode is going to be stellar but it might sit in my DVR for a while before I can bring myself to watch.

  11. I think Tommy will be the only one to survive.
He will be damaged physically but mentally, I think it will fix him.

  12. Tommy died in 9/11/01, not Jimmy.  Lou said to Tommy last week, "We'll be fine, go ahead", not "I'll be fine".  The show will open with Tommy in one of the Towers realizing he is about to die and has a what-if flash ahead (7 years of the show).  Lou is telling telling him it is ok to move on.  Jimmy Keefe is giving the speach to the recruits at the end of the episode in September 2001, just like the series started but not with Tommy.

  13. I just watched it. Used the rapidshare links.

I saw other files but if your smart just extract the video files to desktop and watch.

    SPOILER ALERT***

Lou Dies. Tommy and the rest of the crew live. Janet has her baby and Franco gets his promotion. The rest either xfer or quit. It doesnt clearly state. The end scrolls by the new recruits with the 343 FF who died on 9/11. it scrolls over and you see where the twin towers used to be. If you watched this from S01 you will be in tears
