Glad the Secret Cirlcle premiere wa such a success for the CW. Here's hoping it contunes to do well. And that they continue to develop shows like that.
ReplyDeleteWell I am 57 and they were #1 at my house too!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good idea pairing them up. I liked Secret Circle and I want to see how much it can develop.
ReplyDeleteIs CW spinning the numbers going to be a weekly thing now? Ha
ReplyDeleteIf they keep sending me the press releases then yes :)
ReplyDeleteI love it, I wonder if any of the ratings drop so badly how they will make them look good, its a real skill
ReplyDelete"Secret Circle" wins following "The Vampire Diaries," but it would've been equally successful following "Supernatural." Those three series are obviously drawing the same audience (though "Supernatural" will grab a few more adolescent males than the other two). "Secret Circle" doesn't appear to be as strong a show as the other two, but following either one guarantees it'll be a success.
ReplyDeleteGreat news!!!
ReplyDeletereally? i thought that show looked awful :S
ReplyDeleteYea I agree, I really enjoyed it and it along with TVD they make a good pair on thursday's.
ReplyDeleteI hope it continues that way.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what Hart of Dixie numbers are going to look like...that show had little to no promotion from the network given that all their advertisements were given to The Secret Circle and then Ringer
ReplyDeleteit was good fun...it reminded me alot of VD but thats because its the same team!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to try it cause i LOVE the girl from life unexpected :P
ReplyDeleteThey've already spent an entire press release gushing about a 1.3 18-49 rating on the PREMIERE of their new show...Wait till it drops to a 0.8 lol
ReplyDeleteYes, Britt was awesome in LUX and I followed her to TSC. I thought it was an ok pilot, very derivative, but for the CW the production wasn't awful... (I still get nightmarish flashbacks to TVD pilot!) so maybe it'll become a good show.
ReplyDeleteAw good :D I plan on watching the rerun tonight, and there is that kid from TSCC :DDD love him too
ReplyDeleteI adore the numbers game with the ratings. "100% of its lead-in" implies that the case where the number of people who tuned out is the same as new viewers who tuned in. LOL, I think the shows are excellently paired. Secret Circle's pilot wasn't my cup but I figured it would get off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteHere's the anti-spin:
ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Diaries - This year's premiere is down a bit from last years. The ratings are still good.
The Secret Circle - Solid premiere numbers and excellent audience retention from its lead-in.
Watched Secret Circle today and TVD last night (of course) and Ringer today. Enjoyed Secret Circle, I liked Britt Robinson on Life Unexpected and I think the show has a lot of potential. Also fun fact: in Canada Secret Circle aired at 8pm and on a different channel,TVD is airing at 7pm starting next week. One less hour to wait for Vampire Diaries!
ReplyDeleteI think that Secret Circle will do okay but once there is competition from the other networks--that is where you'll see if it does good or just okay
ReplyDeleteI watched Vampire Diaries and turned off the tv. I think one of my room mates DVRed but it will be erased. I'm more interested in Supernatural on Friday night. 4 more days.
