eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee NATHAN AND AUDREY KISSED AND SIMON CROCKER IS EVIL AND DUKE SUDDENLY BECAME TROUBLED AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON, BUT I LOVED IT.
I AM ALSO CAPSLOCKING FROM ALL THESE AMAZING THINGS. AUDREY KISSED NATHAN AND THERE WAS SO MUCH CENTERED AROUND THEM. And whaaaaaaat at the end. And that promo.
Finally something really touching on the mythology of Haven. One of the best episodes of the year for me.
Know we Dave and Vince are more involved than even I suspected is intriguing....
I did assume that Duke supposed to kill Audrey though.. so that was no shocker. They needed to have some sort of conflict between the 3 leads that they needed to overcome or fight as an ultimate conflict.
I wonder if that dagger takes Troubled blood and then give the dagger-wielder Troubled powers. VERY interesting! It did not seem to steal the troubled power that it cuts tho... That would have been the logical result. Very cool and interesting either way.
The first "Awesome" episode of the season for me I think.
Add my kudos to this episode and the much-awaited kiss between Nathan and Audrey. Duke and Dwight just added to the awesomeness! More questions to keep us guessing and the great promo with Duke's dad, played by Tahmoh Penikett. Be still, my beating heart! Season Three is a NECESSITY!!
What can I say AWESOME! I loved Nathan and Audrey kissing even though I would rather kiss Duke. lol When I watched Duke get the power from the knife my mind starting wondering about what he could do w/that knife. Had to watch the show twice because I was just thinking a little too hard. Didn't mind tho this show was very very very watchable.
Best episode ever, finally we've got something about the mythology and finally NATHAN AND AUDREY moment, it was time, I waited for this moment from the first episode, and I couldn't imagine nothing more beautiful than the kiss scene in this one, all scene been a masterpiece, it was a lot of time I wouldn't so shattered by an episode, but this one really got me, great job, the best episode of both seasons. Duke and his father storyline... what's gonna chose Duke? I'm sure he won't kill Audrey!!! Audrey finally found Lucy and all thanks to Nathan, ohhh so sweet from him, I love him more than ever if it's possibile LOLA brilliant episode in everything, almost too much for just an episode, but really awesome... I had to go and watch it again :)
-- just a little note: this is my very first comment on SpoilerTv, mostly I click on "Like" button, because it's more easy than write a comment, I'm Italian and write in English and make me understand it's a little hard, but this episode really got me and I had to write this comment, so excuse me for every error in it --
Our sweet comical bickering brothers....are working against each other and one is starting a war. Hmmmm. I didn't expect for Lucy Ripley to be as "fake" as Audrey Parker. That was a fun twist. It's cool to leave an ep trying to figure stuff out. I'm trying to figure out if Simon Crocker was the official town assassin. Or was he out to kill Lucy Ripley for a very specific reason.
When the ep started I was pretty sure it was going to be an uninteresting find the troubled story with a lot of wingeing about Audrey having shot the Rev. Glad I didn't hit stop and delete it without watching.
Good episode, but it left me with more questions. I'm definitely in the minority here because I could care less about Nathan and Audrey kissing. I just don't see the chemistry between the two and hate the "will they or won't they" drama that television shows deploy so often. I care much more about the mythology and the town's history, so it was nice to get some Crocker history and some Dave vs. Vince tension. Great episode. Looking forward to the next one.
It was nice to finally move the show's main story forward and get some answers for once. It was a really good mythology episode. I just wish that the show wasn't doing such a clumsy, uneven job with the Nathan / Audrey relationship. I'm not opposed to it, I'm just not satisfied by the job the writers are doing with it.
I like the series quite a bit , but I would never say I watch it for the writing! XD It's clumsy in more areas than just the Nathan and Audrey relationship.
I'm not opposed to the two together at all, I just don't watch series for the couples and usually could not care less who kisses whom or who is dating whom. Although when the handling is as sloppy as this relationship has been on Haven I mostly wish they would never have went down that road. It made for some unbearable moments if not full episodes.
I'm the same way. I don't get the excitement over two characters kissing. Shippers get more excited over two fictional TV characters kissing than I do with two of my real life friends kissing!
Ugh! Now I feel dirty after typing the word "shipper"... I need to go scrub my brain and forget I typed that......
"Although when the handling is as sloppy as this relationship has been on Haven I mostly wish they would never have went down that road."
My sentiments exactly. I don't watch Haven for romantic pairings either, but my philosophy for any scripted show is if you're going to do something, do it right.
I would have voted awesome if the trouble story hadn't been so weak. I felt it was an uninteresting filler included because they didn't want to give too much mythology away in one episode. So the "trouble" gets a D, but the mythology gets an A+ and character development gets an A+ as well. I will say that the trouble of the week did show how Audrey's character is changing. It started in Lockdown and is becoming more and more evident. Audrey came to Haven as a protector of the people, all people. She became an advocate for the troubled, but since Lockdown, it now seems that her desire to protect the troubled now outweighs her vow to protect all the people. Even Nathan was concerned by her attitude in this episode. In the end, it appears, his interest in her, may overcome his concerns about her partiality as he decides to attend a "troubled" meeting. Even Vince knows that the Chief of Police should not be publicly aligning himself with the troubled. For Duke, cutting Dwight with the knife from the box and being touched by his blood was apparently a catalyst for some unknown power in Duke's bloodline. Is this some latent "trouble" or rather a power triggered by the trouble of others so that he can somehow end these troubles? Whatever it is, the conflict between Audrey and Duke and also Nathan and Duke because of Audrey has the potential to be incredible to watch, especially with the depth of feelings these three have for each other. Can't wait for the finale, but it will be sooooo long till next summer.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletejust brilliant!! had to watch the epi twice so i could really appreciate it!! Im seriously loving the story line and hows its developing!! :D
ReplyDeleteI knew Audrey would be the one to make the first move. Nate certainly wasn't going to.

I literally did a snoopydance when I FINALLY GOT MY NAUDREY ACTION!!! Did something else happen in this episode? :)
