i missed most of the episode, but as much as i love blair and chuck although not always together i don't think they are ready tp be parents. i think they should try new people and stick with them for a while. they have their whole lives to be together later. yes some people will disagree with me but i just think that you don't have to be with the person you are meant to be with at 22 or however old they are. if it's meant to be they will find their way together in the end. i want them to be together just like almost everyone else i just feel it doesn't have to be now.
There were some parts to love, some parts to cringe but overall I just didnt feel any OMPH from the premiere and the show is clearly, and has been for a while, lacking some of that X-factor.
I generally enjoyed the CSN in LA and thought they made a cute and adorable trio- Im all for Serena moving into the Empire penthouse with the boys now.
I loved the Chuck and Serena stuff as it was very different material for them. They got some pretty impressive stunt work in for Chuck LOL although I do wonder where he learnt to drive a motor bike so well LOL and I liked how goal orientated Serena was and how her rivialry with Marshall is it? parralleled and contrasted to DB rivalry last season at W. Serena kicked ass and talk names and she didnt have to get into a pissy little bitch slap on the floor to do it...Whoo!
Im UGH on the Blouis/DB stuff just because my care factor about those combinations is litterally zero. I could of zoned out through all their scenes had the writers not got my attention with that use of a classic CB line for Dan and DB UGH that just felt like a blatant isult to CB fans and a slap in the face. Just not pretty. However I think the words are used in an entirely different context in that this time Blair isn't asking Dan to love her or even expecting it from him. She doesn't need it and seem mystified and completely stumped as to why Dan would lie to her.
I am torn on my feelings for Blair in that in the context of the episode I did feel really bad for her that she seemed so lost and unhappy with her choices, but then at the same time I do think it is a bit rich of her to give Louis so much grief over his abilities as a boyfriend when six weeks ago she was cheating on him. I hope Blair wont stay so mixed up and vunerable or long. I want my HBIC back stat!
I like how Dan and Chuck contrasted in this episode where last season we saw a pining Chuck willing to forgo his happiness for Blair's by letting her go off with the prince who he sees as the better man. While in contrast in this episode Dan was pretty underhanded and self serving in that he was quite happy to eff things up with Blouis for his shot at Blair. I think Dan and Chuck might be switching roles a bit.
I do love the baby reveal not only from a shipper stand point but just because I think it could add an interesting element into the equation for Blair's storyline this season and no matter what obstacles Dan and Louis may pose I fully believe that this pregnancy storyline is designed to bring the story back round to CB eventually.
This was a solid start to the season. The coincidence of Ivy running into Serena was ridiculous though.
- Blair's pregnancy isn't a big shocker and is mildly interesting. - Nate is still relatively boring but he seems to have something to do now which is good. - I'm liking Chuck so far. No one self-destructs like Chuck Bass. - Dan's book is going to be a great storyline this season.
The one thing I can't get on board with is Prince Louis. Something about Blair's royal storyline has always bugged me and I finally figured out that the problem is him. I don't have a problem with the storyline but the actor who plays Prince Louis is really bad. It's the most wooden, robotic performance of any guest star to ever appear on Gossip Girl. They really should have cast someone else.
that is true but i am still waiting to see how it plays out before i decide if im on board with it i have a feeling it will be Louis's Baby and then she will lose the baby later on
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Blair. Is. Pregnant. OMG.
ReplyDeletei was a bit suprised by that it was said that it was supoosed to be someone unexpeced and blair i think was a little too obvious
