Parks and Recreation - Season 4 - Robert Pine to Guest Star

Former CHiPs sergeant Robert Pine will deliver some arresting news to Leslie Knope this fall.

Parks and Recreation has tapped the veteran actor to guest star as Herb, the current leader of the cult that ran Pawnee in the ’70s, TVLine has learned exclusively.

In this season’s fifth episode, Herb alerts Leslie that the world will be coming to an end within 24 hours and, to mark the occasion, he plans to hold an all-night vigil in the park.

Pine’s recent credits include guest stints on Franklin & Bash, The Event and The Mentalist. He also recurs as Jim’s father Gerald Halpert on The Office.

Parks and Rec‘s fourth season kicks off Sept. 22 on NBC.
