Thanks to www.mycoven.com for the heads up

EW has learned exclusively that the singer/songwriter/avid aviator will guest star in an upcoming episode of Hawaii Five-0. Buffett will play a veteran pilot who’s a pal of Lt. Commander Joe White (Terry O’Quinn), and he helps Five-0 rescue one of its own from a sticky situation. The episode will air this November on CBS.

  2. He's a great singer, but I had no idea he could act.  I'm looking forward to this one.

  3. BUT WHY CAN'T HE PLAY HIMSELF? I WANT JIMMY TO SING

  4. Ya never know he just might sing to.

  5. I suppose something like this was inevitable but could we get some Hawaiian actors on this show as guest stars instead of just being extras in the background?  I like Kamekona but having only one Hawaiian on the show regularly is kind of lame.

  6. I've been thinking the same thing. Most of the Asian actors they have brought in as featured guest stars have been mainlanders. There are plenty of Hawaiian actors around, why not use them to make the series more believable?

I mean there are many well-known Hawaiian actors Timothy Olyphant, Nicole Kidman, Bette Middler, Sarah Wayne Callies, Shannyn Sossoman, Megan Ward... some even look Hawaiian like Stacy Kamano, Maria Quiban, and Jason Scoitt Lee.
I hear Jason Momoa is available.... Just sayin'.....

  7. They don't even need to book "name" actors.  If they'd just hold some open casting calls and book some native Hawaiians for some of their minor, one-off guest roles that would be more satisfactory than what they've done so far.
