Thanks to www.mycoven.com for the heads up
Sounds like actress Larisa Oleynik may not be long for Hawaii Five-0. After being touted at the end of last season as a possible fifth member of the team, Larisa's role has been majorly downgraded as new regular characters, including Terry O'Quinn (Lt. Joe White) and Lauren German (Lori), pick up the slack.
Now executive producer Peter Lenkov tells me an upcoming story arc will spell an end to Larisa's tech-savvy character, Jenna Kaye, who (and this is me talking here) never quite clicked. "We're wrapping up the Jenna story," Lenkov says matter-of-factly. "She's going to disappear from her life for a little bit and then come back into it in Episode 10 (likely airing November 21) for a very big story that's going to be very McGarrett/Wo-Fat-centric. It has to do with the origins of McGarrett and takes us back to North Korea where we started in the pilot."

Aw! I liked Jenna. I hope they don't kill her off.
ReplyDeleteLOL! She is a total trader. hope Wo-fat kills her.
ReplyDeleteOh :( I like Jenna a lot more than Lori.
ReplyDeleteJenna character never clicked for me, simply cos she was a not neaded,. the cast was just fine as it was, and she was annoying, :P
ReplyDeletethat's sad, I really liked her...
ReplyDeleteBut if her probable death ends up in an amazing addition to the arc (like a top rated episode), her presence would not be in vain. :0
I'm excited to see where the Jenna storyline goes but it's a shame - on first impressions I much prefer her to Lori.
ReplyDeleteThank God. I never cared for her last season and her being a mole just cinched.
ReplyDeleteShe never clicked with the cast either.
But I don't know how introducing yet another female team member makes it any better. Ah well; Weston seems better than Jenna so far at any rate.
I didn't. In her first appearance she was meek, weak, and shy. Suddenly in the next episode she was a badass, tough, capable member of the team.
ReplyDeleteI get now that she was pretending to be weak, but it wasn't a good first impression for me.
I liked Jenna but the producers really stuck a fork in her character last week. It's a damn shame. I hope Oleynik keeps getting steady TV work after this.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise I knew when I read the headline I figured it would be Jenna. I agree it was sad to see her go last night but they'll be an answer about her and Wo Fat.
ReplyDeleteShame... I liked her.
