Thanks to Sabine for the heads up.
Somebody’s going to need a bigger dress.
After pulling a bait-and-switch, letting us believe that Dorota was the owner of last season’s positive pregnancy test, Monday night’s Gossip Girl closed with a big and potentially game-changing revelation: Both Dorota and Blair are expecting!
The Queen of the Upper East Side — and future princess — is preggers just as she’s in the midst of planning a royal wedding. It’s a secret that will cause quite the dilemma for Blair, and not just in terms of how she’ll fit into her wedding dress. Executive producer Josh Safran explains that the series will delve into all the options that a young woman in Blair’s situation might consider – and the emotional turmoil and potential pitfalls that come with having those internal debates.
Although Blair’s been able to fool everyone so far (except for one sharp-eyed seamstress), it won’t be long before she finds it too difficult to hide the pregnancy and wade through her options by herself, says Safran.
And she won’t be the only one dealing with the consequences. “Blair’s pregnancy will definitely impact Chuck in a major way,” explains Safran, who also teases that Mr. Bass’s journey in Season 5 “is the only possible next step in the evolution” of the character. Could that next step be fatherhood? Safran won’t reveal if Chuck and Blair’s post-bar mitzvah rendezvous was the moment of conception, but teases that “the audience will learn who the father is in the first half of the season.”

he didn't reveal it but of course Chuck is the daddy u.u
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to Chuck's reaction to Blair's pregnancy. Heartbroken if it's Louis' because it means he's lost her forever, and of course SHOCKED if it's his. This is going to be one heck of an awkward season for Blair.
ReplyDeleteChuck is having a bébé!
ReplyDeleteOf course Chuckles is the baby daddy. I wouldn't put it past Humpty making it look like he and Blair got it on his illustrious memoirs and that being a factor her too. But as for Baby Daddy? Definitely Chuckles. ;)
ReplyDeleteChuck has to be the daddy, it being Louis' would have no impact to the audience given that he's a guest star. I can't wait for Chuck to find out.
ReplyDeleteI think it's pretty obvious that Chuck is the father. I can't wait until it comes out. Parenthood would be a good next step for Chuck and Blair.
ReplyDeleteI hope the baby is Chuck's Chuck and Blair forever!
ReplyDeleteWHY ARE YOUR AMERICAN TV VIEWING FIGURES FOR GG SO LOW? I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW IT CAN BE NO1 ON ITUNES NOW, COME OUT RANKING 2ND OVERALL LAST YEAR IN THE TARGET DEMO? BUT STILL ONLY GET 1.55 MILLION???IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE??? DO THE YOUNGER PEOPLE WATCH ONLINE?
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? This is TV, of course the Baby is a Bass!
ReplyDeleteCHAIR & BABY BASS=Absolute PERFECTION!!! CB & FAMILY FTW!!!
ReplyDeleteWHY ARE YOUR AMERICAN TV VIEWING FIGURES FOR GG SO LOW? I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW IT CAN BE NO1 ON ITUNES NOW, COME OUT RANKING 2ND OVERALL LAST YEAR IN THE TARGET DEMO? BUT STILL ONLY GET 1.4 MILLION???
ReplyDeleteIT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE??? DO THE YOUNGER PEOPLE WATCH ONLINE?
There is a large population of online viewers for GG. It is also one of the most pirated shows on TV. Then you have all the DVR viewing that occurs. Online + pirated viewing do not add anything to ratings. DVR viewing is accounted for if viewed within 7 days of recording.
ReplyDeleteLOL to surprise being in quotes. There was nothing surprising about Blair being the one pregnant. That purple tissue paper around Blair's discarded pee stick in the trash makes it kind of obvious Chuck is the baby daddy. Plus Ed Westwick recently said Chuck and Blair need to reunite to make little Chuck Babies in bowties. LOL
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Chuck's baby. Although given that, they really should've showed us more of the actual baby-making. Shame on you, show, for cutting away so fast.
ReplyDeleteAww Baby Bass-Waldorf on the way =)))) I'm so happy
ReplyDeleteArggh hate hate hate this pregnancy storyline. Blair is 20 years old!! There is no room for babies on this show.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you are right. i live in the Netherlands and i watch it every tuesday online on www.sidereel.com .
ReplyDeleteI'm in t.v. heaven. Baby Bass is the single most exciting reason to watch GG right now. I love Chuck and Blair so so so much!
ReplyDeleteHere's how this is going to go -
ReplyDeleteChuck will think the baby is his since Blair will keep this info from him until the last possible moment. The pregnancy, however, will turn out to be Louis' doing, but he'll find out about Chuck and Blair's tryst and call off the wedding. A distraught Blair will lose the baby after being dumped and will only have Dan to turn to since Chuck is still resentful over Blair's silence, but Blair still won't feel the same way about Dan as he does about her.
Everyone is miserable and alone. The end.
yes but DVR ratings and streaming online wont get it renewed only Live+SD will thats what networks care about in the A18-49 demo so i have a strong feeling this will be the final season and the show will get cancelled after may 2012
ReplyDeletei think it will Be Louis's too i just hope im wrong Baby Bass FTW but it is supposed to affect chuck in a major way and i hope it brings Chair closer together i dont like Dair romance at all i like there friendship and thats all i want it to be
