“Something’s Coming” (From West Side Story) — Performed by Blaine “Somewhere” (From West Side Story) — Performed by Rachel and Shelby “I’m the Greatest Star” (From Funny Girl) — Performed by Kurt
I didn't think it was possible for "Somewhere" to be more overblown than it was in the film, but GLEE has managed to push it even further into sloppy sentimental. I never thought of Natalie Wood as a drag queen, but after hearing this version I'll never be able to see her as anything else.
Hate the first one but saw it in a sneak peek and it was better. LOVE the kurt's song i want him on broadway NOW + cant wait to see it, from the pics and what chris said its gonna be awesome and extremely awkward (maybe thats just me though) And I'm in love with everything Darren criss touches so yeah love :P
F**kin' show tunes. Ugh. Enough already. And here I was silly enough to expect an improvement from last week's awful set list. I guess the joke's on me.
I don't mean to be a dick but I feel like pointing out this is a show about a show choir so show tunes are kinda the most suitable music to have in the show :B
The irony of my complaint isn't lost on me. The thing is, Glee's one constant throughout its lifespan was its musical diversity from week to week. It's probably the one thing I appreciated most about the show. Unfortunately, for the last three episodes, that variety has been thrown by the wayside in favor of an almost non-stop Broadway barrage.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
