Full Ratings Tables - Most Watched and Biggest Drops 2011/2012 *Updated 28th May 2012*

Now that we've got a fair amount of ratings information we thought we'd start to publish the ratings numbers in terms of raw viewers. The charts below use the overnight (non-adjusted) number of viewers for each show on the main Broadcast Networks ONLY (ABC, CBS, CW, NBC and FOX).

It's not meant to be a 100% accurate list of ratings but should be seen as a way to see roughly how shows are performing week on week.

We hope you find this useful. We'll be keeping these updated on a near daily basis. If you notice any missing shows/ratings please let me know.

  1. >top two shows with viewership increase

    >Big Bang Theory and Grey's Anatomy

    I'm pleased with this.

  2. Nice one, interesting read :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. CSI Miami was posted earlier 10.43 mln. viewers, here just 9.54 mln.

    ReplyDelete
  4. have you considered posting the ratings after finals have been released? It would give a more accurate view of how a show is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  5. No, these are not intended to be 100% accurate but to give an approximate indication. There are other sites that have all the detailed stats etc. We're just interested in looking at general trends etc.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Thanks for posting this!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Thanks for putting this together for us schmucks lol. Makes it very easy to see at a glance what's doing well and what isn't

    ReplyDelete
  8. This is exactly what i was looking for! The numbers might not be written in stone(yet), but being able to check on a show, and having the week and numbers together is perfect. Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Wow totally awesome.  Will have to come back later when I am awake to recheck everything.  Tee hee

    ReplyDelete
  10.  The saying fits, YOU ROCK!

    ReplyDelete
  11. These tables always sadden me.  Why is it I always watch TV where some of the plot suspense is will be able to see the whole thing and will it be renewed for another season.  I need to start getting into reality TV competitions.  Or not.

    ReplyDelete
  12. sweet...i like to keep track of how my fav shows are doing, our fan base seem to be even so im breathing easy for now.

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is very interesting and will be cool to keep track off! thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Interesting info, thanks for posting.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Interesting idea. One thing, in the last table, the big one, you posted 1.95 million for Supernatural premiere, but the actual number (final) was 2.1 mil.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yep as we said, these are the overnight numbers and not the final adjusted ones.

    ReplyDelete
  17. No ratings for House?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oops, hit refresh now. I'd forgotten to copy the daily ratings value for House to our summary table :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thanks, reminds me of seeing the numbers for LOST on DarkUFO.

Nice to see Community and Parks and Rec gained some viewers even if a tiny amount.

    ReplyDelete
  20. By the way Dark, do you know what the deal is with the, I'm not sure what to call them, "tags" by some names? Like here I am marked "Top 100" but on /Film (slashfilm.com) I am marked "Well Liked."  Is it a new Disqus feature?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hey Joseph,

    Yep, see here http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/09/new-features-added-to-comments-system.html
Basically Disqus now allows site owner to "rank" the commentators.

    Hope that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thanks for putting this together ;) Just one small question, does that mean Taahm has gained 6.07 viewers ? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love this! I know i thanked you last week,I just can't help it!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ha,that's fine :) We love getting thanks here at SpoilerTV. It means we're doing things right !

    ReplyDelete
  25. Two and a half men ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ah lol.

    No, it's lost 6.07 Million :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks ;) now all makes a little more sense ;P

    ReplyDelete
  28. Cool, I like it.  Even if I don't get or utilize some of the features you put on this site, I think it's awesome that you have them.  :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ha no.

What we do is rank various criteria by importance eg No, of comments, quality of comments, no of replies, replies to comments, likes etc Disqus then processes these and calculates your score and then ranks them :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ah, I was indisposed when that article was put up.  Interesting.

When you say site owners rank the commentators, I assume you mean it's like an automated thing and not you personally ranking people?  Haha.

    ReplyDelete
  31. No ratings for House?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Castle is the best show ever,i want to see it in the 1st.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Two and a Half Men lost 10 million viewers between episodes 1 and 3? Wow. And wow too Big Bang Theory, its numbers are impressive.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Not that it means a whole lot, but Supernatural was 1.80 million viewers last week. It was adjusted up in the finals

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yep, we only show and use the overnight numbers for the purposes of this chart/table

    ReplyDelete
  36. There's one rating missing for Hart of Dixie. I saw the table for 90210, and there's 4 episodes meaning that this is up to date. But Hart of Dixie shows just only 1 episode whereas there have been two episodes aired..

    ReplyDelete
  37. Happy for Body of Proof. Sad for Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Awesome, love that NCIS is still going so strong, Big Bang Theory is still gaining viewers and is in the top 5, and that Castle is making a run at the top 10!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, it looks like only the show Big Bang Theory has now remained steadily whereas the other powerhouses like Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy sank to an all-time low, but it's the eighth show for both so I guess this is imaginable..

I thought that Pan Am would be doing well, didn't expect it to sink so fast..

    ReplyDelete
  40. wow gossip girl was the lowest. wish my favorite Supernatural was doing better.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Good, that NCIS is still so high up there. I hope they'll bypass Two and a half men midseason! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Great that The Good Wife is doing so well.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Go Grey's!

    ReplyDelete
  44. After seeing this, all I want is to see 4.0 or more for my Friday night obsession- FRINGE.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Why are mah fave shows at the end :(. Boy, I can pick 'em.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Kind of sad for House that baseball ran over and screwed up their rating for last week. I've been reading in several places that people who DVR'd got Terra Nova instead. I hope that next week's numbers better reflect the viewing audience.

    ReplyDelete
  47. What's the difference between  , the overnight numbers and  the final adjusted one  ???

    ReplyDelete
  48. sometimes i worry about my Supernatural...luv it too much to lose it!! So far it's not in danger yet, TG!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm so happy that NCIS an NCIS LA is doing so well, but then i see how Fringe is doing, wow what a bummer!  Come on Fringe Fans,Watch live!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm glad that Revenge is holding steady.

    ReplyDelete
  51. How is it that even though Fringe has more viewers that Vampire Diaries, Vampire Diaries seems to be doing better overall?

    ReplyDelete
  52. What do you mean by doing better?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well, on the cancellation index for example Fringe is "likely to be cancelled" (which makes me sad) and TVD is way farther up in the "safe" section.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ah I was wondering as this post was about Viewing Numbers and Drops and not the Cancellation table. I was confused.

The reason is because Fringe is on FOX which is a much larger network and therefore has larger viewing numbers. TVD is on CW so their numbers are much smaller and don't require huge numbers to be a hit. Also Fringe is a LOT more expensive to film and produce.

    ReplyDelete
  55. But Fringe is awesome, shouldn't that count for something?!

Anyways, I get it now. It still sucks that Fringe's ratings are so low, though.

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Unfortunately show quality does not count for anything :( It's all amount the money for the networks.

    ReplyDelete
  57. NIKITA has quite a small drop.

    ReplyDelete
  58. House, after the debacle that was Season 7, has yet to crack 10M. Wow. It's early days yet, of course, and there's baseball interruptus. Spread the word, friends: Of the three episodes, two have been outstanding, kicking it old school. There's hope, hang on, come back, check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I wish so much that I lived in the US so I could watch Fringe live and contribute to the numbers, but sadly I'm helpless and all I can do is watch the numbers drop on the most amazing show that's in danger of being cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Fascinating that the vast proportion of shows are losing. It's almost a case of who is losing the fewest number of viewers rather than who is gaining. To hold your viewers is a huge success.

    ReplyDelete
  61. That is so nice, your heart is with us and that matters!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I would have thought Bones would attract a larger audience, considering it was a season premiere.Am i reading it wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  63. 10 Million is pretty good for Bones. The first 3 seasons averaged less that 9.5 million.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks,i guess i didn't remember!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Castle's doin fine :D

    ReplyDelete
  66. Okay, seems Fringe is doing a little better so i broke into a little jig,an sang a little Hallelujah!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. the walking dead isnt on any of the lists!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Same here, Amber. I'm with you about Fringe being the most amazing show (since Lost) and I feel so helpless too. For the networks it's all about the numbers and money, and not quality, so we just count for nothing here :-(

    ReplyDelete
  69. i don't understand why i see H50 rating 10.84 and again on week 8 on last chart it's only 9.95?

    ReplyDelete
  70. That was their overnight rating for the last episode

    ReplyDelete
  71. All those numbers posted above are basically meaningless as they are only the preliminaries, not the final ratings

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wow is The Vampire Diaries absolutely crushing the rest of that network.

I mean, climbing to 3.3 million on The CW? That's twice what another drama needs to be renewed for that network.

    ReplyDelete
  73. just wanted to let you know the premiere of Gossip Girl was 1.37 million viewers not 1.55 and episode 2 of Gossip Girl was 1.34 million viewers not 1.45 million viewers and episode 8 is 1.35 not 1.48 so the average for the season is 1.29 not 1.37

    ReplyDelete
  74. With 22% drop, does that mean House is likely not going to have a 9th season?

    ReplyDelete
  75. You probably want to check this post and table out
    http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/09/spoilertv-cancellation-predicator-table.html

    ReplyDelete
  76. Am i reading this right, the numbers for Bones is the same as last week?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Numbers may be low but Supernatural has my heart. There.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Is it possible that Once Upon a Time is steadily losing viewers, or am I reading the ratings table wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Nope, you're reading correctly. It's losing viewers

    ReplyDelete
  80. Everyone seems to be loving it so I find it very strange.
Perhaps it's due to the football game being shown the same evening.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It's still very strong but it will be interesting to see if they keep declining or if they level out.

    ReplyDelete
  82. The ratings of A Gifted Man are not bad. How come is it so likely to be cancelled?

    ReplyDelete
  83. They are very bad in terms of the key demographics of the 18-49 year old range. That is the key demo for advertisers.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Just an information. What time zone does this site use, as opposed to GMT? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  85. whoa, what happend to Castle?

    ReplyDelete
  86. I LOVE that show! it better not get cancelled!

    ReplyDelete
  87. I give PanAm til the rest of their season before flaming out

    ReplyDelete
  88. They had a repeat on last night, and it wasn't on that long ago.Plus H5-0 was live and Chin was getting married.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Interesting stuff, thanks for doing it. Some of the numbers confuse me a bit, but overall I like most of what I'm seeing.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I see a mistake. Most of the posts reports Once Upon A Time as having 10.83 million viewers, but in the chart it's 10.33. It's relatively minor but still important while looking at overall charts..

    ReplyDelete
  91. Thanks Rama, fixed. My fat fingers

    ReplyDelete
  92. great read ;)just little question, according wikipedia 10 episodes of 'A Gifted Man' have aired, but in the table are only 9greetings from Czech Republic :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hi Michal.

Hmm, looks like I might have missed one. I'll see if I can find and fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Happy for The Big Bang Theory .My fav TV show

    ReplyDelete
  95. Wonderful to have it all neat and together! Great job. Thank you. :)
Do you have there the final numbers or just the preliminaries?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Forgive me, am I reading this incorrectly? Or has "Supernatural" dropped 11.52%?

    ReplyDelete
  97. How is Are You There, Chelsea? at a minus? o_O

    ReplyDelete
  98. Oops, fat fingers.

    All fixed :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. woohoo Secret Circle has a big drop! I hope that continues and that stupid show gets cancelled! ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  100.  I hope stupid people like you get banned by sopa, that's what they should do.

    ReplyDelete
  101. of all the shows that i watch only one is over 10 mil average per episode (modern family) and two are on the 10 mil range (himym and the good wife). the rest, all below the 10 mil, my favourite being fringe and community... :S watching tv like this is pretty stressful!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Just want to say that alot of the ratings are wrong. Those are only the preliminaries, not the finals. For example they have 1.63 listed for the last episode of Supernatural. That was the preliminary rating. The final it was actually 1.72

    ReplyDelete
  103. I know, we state very clearly that these are not the finales.

    ReplyDelete
  104. ncis & his cousin ncis la almost 20 million viewers congratulation to the writers of both shows they are awesome and amazing keep creativiti up.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Well Heck Fringe did better this week! YAY i'll take it.....

    ReplyDelete
  106. Way to go, BODY OF PROOF!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Very interesting. Glad to see some shows do well, and worried about those doing less well!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Oooo it's not looking good for Ringer and not so good for Alcatra :S

    ReplyDelete
  109. This really should come with a warning so people who don't understand the ratings system don't relay on it as a renewal/cancellation indicator for their favourite shows.

    ReplyDelete
  110. That's why they have the Cancellation Predictor.

    ReplyDelete
  111. wow gossip girl was the lowest. wish my favorite Supernatural was doing better.
