Fringe - Season 4 - Latest from TV Line - 13th September 2011

The very good news for Fringe viewers is that somewhere between Episodes 3 and 6 of the coming season, John Noble and Joshua Jackson will reunite on screen.

As soon as Peter “ceased to exist” at the close of the Fox drama’s Season 3 finale, Fringe fans fretted: Will the show be able to salvage the father-son dynamic between Walter and his boy? One small step toward that goal would be for Noble and Jackson to share scenes in Season 4, but when last we looked into that, Noble had two episodes under his belt while Jackson had yet to report to the set.

TVLine revisited the hot topic with Noble on Monday night at Fox’s annual Eco-Casino Party, asking if he has gotten to reunite on camera with his TV son yet. “That’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it?” he countered with a smile. He then answered, “Oh, yes, I have. And it’s been wonderful.”

  1. John Noble is so awesome. I can picture his smile while saying that last line.

  2. Cue people complaining after each episode about the lack of Peter until he shows up.....

  3. I'm sincerely confused with this article. Because if our Peter didn't die in the lake (what has the lake to do with his death?) why Olivia didn't recruited him to take care of Walter? And what happened with Walternate's Peter? Although, in this case, it'll be easier rejoin Peter in the story.
On the other hand if the article meant that Peter (from Over There) did die in the lack it would explain a lot of things, because the kidnapping would have occurred as its aftermath but how Walternate would learn the whereabouts of his child if was Peter who convinced Olivia to ask help to Walter? And.. who is this Peter that will come in season 4?

  4. The first option would make Joshua's return easier, he'd be playing a different character after all, but why would he be absent from the show in the first place? One of the spoilers said, that Walter would feel some kind of absence. Why would he feel an absence, when his son is alive?

  5. It would have made sense to me had he said that Peter hadn't been saved all those years ago since, as it has been stated, the contention between the two realities wouldn't exist in the same manner. This would also account for Walter's psychological regression along with Olivia's admission of a hole being in her life. But him being saved? This has me reevaluating. The Observer saved Peter after Walter kidnapped him, which happened only after the other Peter died. This is in line with our home reality - so why would his being saved from the lake alter the trajectory? I was under the impression both versions of Peter somehow passed of their disease, which would consequently bypass our known interdimensional kidnap, which has been the element impacting all other events in the show.

And if we were dealing with alternate versions of Peter, or a Peter that doesn't remember, because of an altered timeline that doesn't mesh with what Reddick said several weeks ago regarding Bishop Jr. rambling on about how they all knew him in a different reality. I am mildly puzzled.

  6. It doesn't matter what we think it's going to happen, it's going to be different anyway. Let's just watch and see.
So stoked, 10 more days, Fringies!

  7. After each episode?  The complaints have already started.

  8. I could see just imagine John smile at the end when tease at the end. I think that they only release the clip of Walter and Olivia missing something to let the fan known that Peter is not in the first few episode, espically for the one that just watch Fringe on TV. As for the mystery of this season, I personlly don't thin
