gifted man must have flopped for CBS to only beat that by 0.1
ReplyDeleteHere comes the reating News to ruin my day.
ReplyDeletebtw its lower than last year's friday premiere just improvement over finale
ReplyDeleteSo it's good or bad? Have no ideas bout US ratings.
ReplyDelete*relieved head-thud in the background* This is better than I had anticipated, so some good news. FRINGE I've missed your creative genius...and the weekly concern with ratings. :P You've been a constant for 3 years.
ReplyDeletebad but not terrible
ReplyDeleteOuch~
ReplyDeleteIf it stays like that it could go either way cancel or renewal.
ReplyDeleteFor a Friday season premiere while it's still 'summer like' out, this is not bad. Ratings tend to go up when the weather gets colder. And this show has a ridiculous DVR % which does count no matter what people will tell you. This is also the first time this show is fall premiering on Friday night's too. If anything, this is what I think most were anticipating.
ReplyDeleteHalf the US was also snowed in when it premiered on Friday's last winter.
ReplyDeleteIt still drives me nuts that the Hell's Kitchen has better numbers...
ReplyDeleteThis antiquated Nielsen System is a dog's breakfast anyway. iTunes sells and the DVR numbers I believe will give us a more optimistic look.
ReplyDeleteEveryone, stay calm. Just keep watching live and keep spreading the word.
ReplyDeleteDon't start freaking out already, give it time. But again, keep watching live and keep spreading the word.
Fringe Rocks!
Hooray!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDang it and I really liked the Gifted Man.
ReplyDeleteIt may be antiquated but the networks still rely on it and this is what counts. They are already counting DVR numbers in which are always ridiculous for Fringe.
ReplyDeleteA Gifted Man = Premiere of season 7 of Medium.
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, pretty much.
It would be incredible if we could get a 1.6 next week. I'm just glad it didn't start off at a 1.2 or something. That would be the worst. If we can keep it up around 1.5-1.6 then it should be alright. However, ratings tend to decrease over the season.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is the sad truth that they still cling to them for dear life.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the end of the world. We were hemorrhaging viewers last season because of the nice weather and the fact it was on a Friday. We still managed to beat A Gifted Man. A 1.6 is what I was expecting, so to see it close to that is a good sign. However, this numbers will drop, so it's up to us, devoted viewers, to spread the word about this amazing show. Tell your friends, family, some guy on the street, anyone. If we work together, we can get a season five.
ReplyDeleteI expected worse I guess
ReplyDeleteThis is the last season of Fringe if it goes to its end!!!
ReplyDeleteFor Fringe 1.5 is around the range they need to keep, as Fox say all the need to do is hold the rating from last season. Fingers crossed it does not drop. Is it just me or is the rating for Friday night a litter lower than usually?
ReplyDeleteWhy would the DVR numbers matter when people like myself both watch it live and record it. Regardless, people fast forward through the commercials.
ReplyDeleteStill got to see where the numbers level off at. Hope they stay right there and trend up. Time will tell
ReplyDeleteDVR numbers are high for Fringe, if I remember correctly..
ReplyDeleteYes they are higher than for any other show on TV. Thats's the reason they actually got the friday slot. A large percentage of people records it and then watches it. And it doesn't really matter if they do it on a thursday or a friday.
ReplyDeleteIt was ok, but the show needs to maintain this rating.
ReplyDeleteI guess it could be worse...
