ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely surprised that some questions from Series 5 (Matt Smith's first series) are left open. I read somewhere that Moffat was working on a 3-series arc, not sure if this is true or not. There are a lot of rumours going around on other sites about a classic-era villian who is behind all of this, but it's probably not worth mentioning here. I'll believe it when it happens!
ReplyDeleteOne unexpected returning character that I've seen credited is Simon Callow as Charles Dickens, which dates back to Series 1 with Ecclestone & Piper (The Unquiet Dead). Not sure who else, although we already know that Dorium and Churchill are appearing as well.
Could the tribute be something to do with Liz Sladen / Sarah Jane Smith? That would be nice. Or alternatively, a nod to Rose would be fine by me. Yes, I'm a pitiful Rose fanboy ;)
I'd love if the Little Britain reference is something to do with Tom Baker (who narrates Little Britain) lol
A gamechanger hey? Well considering we're waiting to find out how the Doctor survives his apparently unavoidable death, I guess that classifies as a gamechanger :P
The most obvious explanation for the eye patch is that it somehow keeps the wearer aware of the boof-headed Silence guys. Although maybe it's not that simple? Guess we'll find out in 5 days :D
