Awesome! At first i thought this meant the UK one and got incredibly excited that he was the replacement for whatsisface. Great to see Kyle back on current TV though, i've hoped he'd get something else ongoing after Blood Ties.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they will have him playing a vampire.... maybe one of European royal descent? XD
ReplyDeleteThat's great I always liked him on Blood Ties!!
ReplyDeleteYes i'm curious to see that too, i sort of expect he will be a vampire, they certainly know he can do it well! Will be great to see him back in the role. I half hope he's a bad guy, because i think he's do that really well.
ReplyDeleteHave you considered putting UK/US in the title when it comes to Being Human articles?
ReplyDeleteBesides the obvious wordplay and endless puns that could be derived from his last name, I know nothing about this guy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I can help. He was the smart ass in The Covenant. He played a gorgeous Vampire as Henry in Blood Ties. Here's the link from FB: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kyle-Schmid/109476922412050?ref=ts&sk=info
ReplyDeleteI will be glad to see him on the show. Don't want to start anything but the American version of Being Human was terrible compared to the United Kingdom version. I only watched it in hope it would get better. It didn't but now there is some hope.
I refuse to believe that stating an honest opinion is "starting something." The majority of folks here at Spoiler TV sill know how to maintain a civil difference of opinion. So, no worries there. (btw, I disagree with you about the quality of the show) :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Kyle on Blood Ties and can't wait to see him on Being Human. He is a great addition to their cast, and I hope he gets to play a vampire again :)
ReplyDeleteKool. Loved him in Blood Ties...then stumbled across him in the oddest independent film (?) called Zerophilia.
ReplyDeleteAm hoping that the US version continues to improve. Hints of good stuff, for me, during season one, but more misses than hits. And the never won me over with their werewolf design.
Just curious Bruce, did you watch the UK version? My daughter doesn't get BBC America so she absolutely loved the American version. I struggled since the US version was trying to0 hard to stay w/in the UK version. I thought it was a total rip off.
ReplyDeletehaha, I made exactly the same mistake and thought it was the British version XD
ReplyDeleteHow long did you stay with the US version? After the first three episodes or so, the domestic version starts to deviate from the UK version a fair amount, and that's besides all of the technical stuff about vamps, werewolves, & ghosts that are significantly different in the US version.
ReplyDeleteIf the American version of Being Human continues to deviate, it probably won't look much like the BBC version much at all by the end of season 2.
I watched the whole Season. I noticed it starting to change. Was very happy about that. I read an article that said they were going to make some changes. I am a hanger on er lol Stayed w/it to the end.
ReplyDeleteLoved his acting on Blood Ties so I can't wait to see him in this. His fans have missed him and we'll be glad to see him back on TV.
ReplyDeleteBruce:
ReplyDeleteTake a look at his IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0772704/
Many of us know him from Blood Ties and loved his work on that show.
Sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI just hope they don't have his last name be Fitzroy. Seeing as they are going to have him be Henry in this. If he is Fitzroy it will give me another reason to boycott the US version. I started with BBC's and am devoted only to the lives of Annie, George, Nina, rest in peace Mitchell. So again if he is Henry Fitzroy in this being devoted to blood ties, the blood and smoke books. Will just be the stake through Tayna Huffs Vampire world.
