Hey Guys,

Sorry once again for the delay, it seems I'm just crazy busy at the moment, so much so I still have to watch the premiere of Fringe, something that rarely happens a couple of days after it airs!

Regardless, when we were last competing we saw that the Winchester brothers had no trouble dispatching of Ziva David and Temperence Brennan, meaning round three will see an all Winchester poll. That one will be messy for sure!

Today we have Daenerys Targaryen of Game of Thrones challenging Jack Bauer of 24 for a place in round three, as well as Pheobe Buffay of Friends taking on Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl. Both tough polls to call, with two very popular but old characters taking on two current characters who still haven't hit the same icon levels. It's hard to say which way they will go...

Currently leading the prediction competition is Dahne, with Amber English and JerMd all on 38 points, holding off a long line of potential challengers on 37. It is still anyones game! To see your score head HERE

For anyone new to the competition the rules are simple. Every day there will be a new set of polls between characters who are bidding to become the winner of the second STV Character Competition.

All you have to do is to vote for whichever characters are your favourite and at the end of the 24 hours whichever character has more votes will be the winner and will progress into the next round. There are three rounds before the quarter finals, semi finals and then the final...

Don't forget to tweet, facebook, google+ and spread the word about the characters and shows you love to try and boost your chances of winning.

    This is an odd Round 2 match-up for me.

    Game of Thrones is one of my favorite current TV series, not to mention one of th best handful of series on TV. However, I just cannot vote for Daenerys at this point since she has only been on for 1 season and did not stand out as strong as some of the other characters on GoT for me. 
    Jack Bauer it is then.

    Second poll I could not care less about. Never liked friends very much and thought it was quite overrated. One of the most overrated on the series IMO was Phoebe. Never watched Gossip Girl so I can;t vote for that either. Abstain it is.

    With all the tough match-ups in Round 1 it strikes me as sad that these two are against one another in Round 2....

    I'm sorry, but when I read Pheobe in stead of Phoebe everywhere on this poll, I laughed as hard as I can  ..It's obviously an error but really like a dry humor..

    And it's Daenerys and Blair Waldorf for me!

    I like Daenerys character in the series even better than in the books. I´m well aware that we only have seen one season so far, but I think she did an amazing job. 
    I only like the first season of 24, after that it was just all the same....and Jack Bauer...nahhh...Daenerys is way cooler (she has dragons!!!!)

    I voted for Phoebe in the second pole. Friends was a great show. Phoebe was not my favorite, but I´d vote for Friends over GG any day.

    Today is all characters I don't know or don't care for.  Plus I didn't have either person in the second match even making it to this round.  So I pick my bracket for the first match and leave the second one alone.

    Oh, gosh, I am this close to giving up voting. Every character I vote for ends up losing for much worse characters!!! For example: Mal Reynolds, Jack Shephard, Ben Linus, Chuck, Sydney Bristow, ... always losing to magic creatures or teenage starlets .......argh! Now Phoebe is losing to the Minka Kelly lookalike?

    Haha I know, but if it happened one time, I wouldn't mind. But it's like someone has been thinking about something else while writing this poll. Who couldn't notice it writing Pheobe in stead of Phoebe 6 times! Or it must be copy and paste, a lesser error.. But anyway, this made my day!

    I might be in the minority saying Daenerys is my least favourite of the 3 main girl characters (you might say I'm sick in the head, but I actually love Sansa), but still I'd take her (and many other Game of Thrones characters for that matter) over almost anyone. I still like her a lot, just Arya and Sansa make me care for them more, but that also might be because they are Starks and I care about all the Starks (plus Jon minus Catelyn).

    The second poll, well... as shallow as Gossip Girl is, I actually think Blair is a kinda intriguing character (I mean... judging by those few GG episodes I've seen), thus my vote for her.

    Even though, IMO, Dany's story and personality only get really good on Storm of Swords(third book), she's still better than most TV characters out there. Including Jack Bauer. Too bad Tyrion lost to a generic vampire teenager...

    Yes, Tyrion should definitely have made it a few rounds.  Considering the low vote count this late in the day, Tyrion could easily have beaten any of these 4.

    Jack flatlined during an interrogation, saved LA while experiencing heroin withdrawals, snapped a guy's neck by jumping off a wall, disappeared for months, escaped a ruthless warlord in Africa and could have assassinated a foreign leader and a former US president if he wanted to. . .

    But Dany lived through a funeral pyre and hatched dragons.  DRAGONS!!!!   This is a tough choice!  I think Dany wins because she's prettier.
