Hey Guys,

First off let me sincerely apologise for the long delay in getting the competition going again. It is purely because I have been travelling home to the UK and have just not been in front of a PC for a few days. As a result you will get a few polls posted today to catch up!

I have two days worth of polls to catch you up on, with the previous days polls seeing Kurt Hummel and Fox Mulder pull off strong first round performances to move forwards into round two. Leaving the competition as a result were Parker & Juliet Burke. Kudos should go to Juliet who came close but not quite close enough to trouble the X-Files star...
Also we had Damon Salvatore & Michael Westen seeing off victories over Anthony DiNozzo and Sydney Bristow, putting them in good positions to progress into the next round!

Today sees Dexter Morgan meet a tough opponent in Dana Scully from The X-Files in a poll that will create a lot of conflict and a result that is tough to call. Also today we have The Doctor from Doctor Who challenging Abed Nadir from Community.
(In a few hours we will also have Barney Stinson vs. Spike & Seeley Booth vs. Olivia Dunham, so keep your eyes peeled)

Currently leading the prediction competition is Todd German, holding on to the top spot he has occupied for the past few days. He is also joined by three other competitors on 24 points, including the winner of the show competition, Sergey! To see your score head HERE

For anyone new to the competition the rules are simple. Every day there will be a new set of polls between characters who are bidding to become the winner of the second STV Character Competition.

All you have to do is to vote for whichever characters are your favourite and at the end of the 24 hours whichever character has more votes will be the winner and will progress into the next round. There are three rounds before the quarter finals, semi finals and then the final...

Don't forget to tweet, facebook, google+ and spread the word about the characters and shows you love to try and boost your chances of winning.

All that is left to say, is let the battles commence...

    Dexter and The Doctor

  4. I voted exact opposite how I predicted it. Dexter and Abed got my vote, but I already knew they have no chance.

  5. Scully and The Doctor for me.

  6. Scully! My only vote goes to her. The X-Files is my very fave show and Scully was the first TV woman I admired and still does.

  7. First is easy - go Scully! - but second ... I can't choose, it's too hard.

  14. Love Abed, but is impossible to compete with the Doctor!

  15. I'm not a big fan of X-Files... so Dexter it is.

  16. Scully in the first poll.
And The Doctor for my bracket although I've never seen either show in the second poll.

  17. Scully! She is the one and only!

  18. Scully and the Doctor. The second one was hard because I love Abed too.

  19. The Doctor. He's been part of my life (in his various incarnations) for a very loooong time.

  20. Dana Scully without any question.  Mulder couldn't make X-Files magic on his own and she was one of the few really strong women on TV at that time.  Scully was someone people could look up to.

The second one is harder but I had to throw it to Abed although my bracket says Dr. Who.  Abed is the number one reason to watch Community and I could watch a half hour each week of just Troy and Abed in the Morning.

  21. She definitely empowered a lot of young females to pursue sciences and to show that having a brain and being sexy were not mutually exclusive.  I loved how Scully was the brains of the operation.

  22. You need more Dexter in your future. Of course I love Scully too. Just saying... Watch some Dexter. :)

  23. Dexter and the Doctor this morning, purely a bracket thing as I don't watch any of the shows.

  27. The Doctor vs Abed is so so unfair! They are both my spirit animals! Loved the Doctor longer though so he gets my vote

  35. Love Dexter...bit Scully gets my vote. My predictions are awful this year anyways, so may as well vote for the one I prefer.

  36. Always Scully!

  37. I was thrilled to see how well the Doctor is doing since he has only been in the US for a couple of years. He has been around for my whole life so is really special so I love seeing the support for him just wish it had said 1963 to present! but maybe we can't have everything?

  38. Voted for Scully and the Doctor.

  39. You should try Community.  It's funny.  Second best comedy after Raising Hope in my opinion.
