Hey Guys,
Yesterdays saw strong wins for Pheobe Buffay who saw off Teresa Lisbon with ease, but an even more impressive performance from Blair Waldorf who beat Kate Austen and dumped the first LOST character from the competition.
Today we have two polls with the first seeing Buffy Summers, best known for slaying vampires challenging Burn Notice's Fiona Glennane in a fierce all-female battle for place in round two. In addition we have Nathan Fillion's Richard Castle challenging House's long suffering Remy "Thirteen" Hadley in a battle of two shows with large fan bases.
The prediction competition now only has one person with a perfect bracket, Todd German the sole player still on 16 points. To see your bracket score head HERE
For anyone new to the competition the rules are simple. Every day there will be a new set of polls between characters who are bidding to become the winner of the second STV Character Competition.
All you have to do is to vote for whichever characters are your favourite and at the end of the 24 hours whichever character has more votes will be the winner and will progress into the next round. There are three rounds before the quarter finals, semi finals and then the final...
Don't forget to tweet, facebook, google+ and spread the word about the characters and shows you love to try and boost your chances of winning.

ReplyDeleteFiona has a last name? Voted for Buffy and 13. Four great characters, and the second poll was especially hard, but I like what the show has done with 13's character. I hate to say it, but female characters usually aren't written with as much complexity.

ReplyDeleteThat's it! I hate today's match. Putting Fiona against Buffy is just cruel. If I picked my top 10 female characters, both of them would be on it. Both of them kick a lot of bad guy/evil butt and look great doing it. Hmm...tossing my vote to Fiona because Buffy will not need it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the second round, Castle all the way. Although Castle is only in the middle of the pack as far as my favorite characters go in the show, that's because it has so many great characters. This show was my summer fling this year and I'm amazed at how attached I am to it. I will be watching come this fall. Alexis is amazing.

ReplyDeleteEasy round for me: Fiona Glennane (even though I think she's going to be steamrollered, so I have Buffy down in my bracket) and Richard Castle, because of all the characters that I've disliked on House, Thirteen was the very worst. And also, I've just started watching Castle, and I'm quite taken with the lead character.

ReplyDelete(Huge sigh) Fiona can't be taken down by ex-IRA enemies, drug cartels, mobsters, spies, or Michael's sometimes cold, cold heart, but she will definitely be steamrolled in this poll. I guess I should be glad she's being beaten by Buffy, who I would vote for against almost every single character in this contest. Still, poor Fiona - she deserves more love.

ReplyDeleteSadly, I missed voting in this round. My vote would have definitely gone to my favorite all time female character, Buffy Summers. I'd vote for her over all other characters except one, Dean Winchester. Then I'd have to bow out, because I wouldn't be able to choose between the two.
