Not that there was ever any doubt that Tim Kring's Fox pilot Touch starring Kiefer Sutherland would get on the air, but the network wanted to reserve final judgement until after it sees the finished pilot. Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly told reporters at TCA today that he saw the pilot last night and it was "extraordinary", firmly sealing the project's midseason series pickup. "It's a new character but it does have some doze of Jack Bauer in it," Reilly said about Sutherland's new role.

Great news!
ReplyDeleteI'm still not sold on the series title, but the premise is intriguing and Keifer is the perfect choice for the lead.
Good news! I'm looking forward to this show ;)
ReplyDeleteAwsome, still an executive so will wait for good critics like Hitfix, Tucker(EW) and such to hear what they say about.
ReplyDelete"it does have some doze of Jack Bauer in it"That's exactly how I feel.
ReplyDeleteI love Tim Kring. Say what you want about Heroes, Kring is a storytelling genius.
ReplyDeleteHey Fox president...
ReplyDeleteYou know what was also "extraordinary?" The Chicago Code.
Agreed! I finally got around to checking it out (don't worry, being Canadian means that my eyeballs on the screen live mean nothing) and it was absolutely brilliant. Haven't seen a police show that good in years (besides The Wire). I loved the narration conceit too.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that being said, I'm still excited for Touch :P.
what is this ? I have not heard of it
ReplyDeleteDon't forget "Terminator: TSCC"...
ReplyDeleteIt's a Tim Kring show it will end in failure, seriously. Save yourself Kiefer!
ReplyDeleteNaw, I was talking about shows cancelled this year. TSCC had no (or minimal) impact on the decisions this year with regards to Human Target, Lie to Me, The Chicago Code, and Fringe. Sent on the TELUS Mobility network with BlackBerry
ReplyDeletecant wait for midseason , this and alcatraz... i want 2012 in september :D
ReplyDeleteHey, Fox president, you know what would be a great show? Firefly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this.
