'Kiss your Cas Goodbye' and 'In Cas We Fear'....seems like the promo department found a different theme for season 7. Lol But it's a bit disappointing that they don't give any hints about the general direction of the show besides Castiel's fate.
What makes me angry? So much marketing about a cliffhanger that could be better exploite, be wasted in two miserables episodes.Waste a plot like this, for me it's incompetence. What bigger than the apocalypse they could fight against? A crazy friend with god powers. And now, they will just waste this for what? monsters from 1st season? This isn't series evolution, this is walking back. I was waiting more from Sera Gamble, but I think she's got lost. And my favorite show doesn't excite me anymore, unfortunately.
Very uncomfortable with the direction the writers are taking with making Castiel God. I love this show, the characters & the majority of storylines but this is a bit too close to blasphemy for my comfort. I will see how far the writers take it before passing judgment. Darn it, I loved that angel!
Just because he has incredible powers Cass can't call himself God. It's not some kind of title that you can take over if you're strong enough! Oh, Death! Please, bring OUR Cass back. And hold on guys - it looks pretty bad.
This Cas is very scary, and I can't wait to see what he does with all the power from those souls. There's only 7 more seconds in this promo than the first one, but it still makes my poor Supernatural deprived self even more excited. Can't wait to see how he gets taken down.
Wooo! Scary Cas!! I'm super excited for this season, hell I'm super excited for every season, but for some reason this one is seriously popping my cork. I was really into the season 6 cliff hanger, simply loved it, but I didn't want Cas to end up being the big bad, I think that would have broken my heart.....so I'm glad that the team aren't going that way, even though that might mean we lose him...maybe. This does look pretty dire for him, what with that flash and whatnot.... I'm looking forward to seeing the boys hit the road and have to and work stuff out for themselves a bit more, without the Angelic assistance they've been able to rely on for the last couple of season. It'll be good to see them nutting stuff out for themselves again. I like the idea of obits and libraries. I don't see that as a backwards step. Because the characters have developed, aged, they are more experienced, damaged and that journey will come with them into this journey. The Winchesters are different men now, what with hell, heaven and all that came in between. I'm a lover of the later seasons over the earlier seasons (though of course I love those passionately too) for this reason, the maturity of the storytelling and the characters. I'm looking forward to seeing that continue to evolve. I think the creative team behind Supernatural are some of the most creative and daring out there...thank goodness...and I'm looking forward to seeing them do their thing again, because I trust them with this story and these characters I love so much because I'm pretty darn sure they love them just as much as me! Bring on September, bring on season 7 and lets get this show on the road so far! (Long comment was long)
People can call themselves anything they want, especially if what they're calling themselves is "god."
Not only do the scores of religions around the world all have a different interpretation of who or what god is but billions of individuals also have their own opinions on the subject.
There's no template or definitive checklist for defining god. That leaves plenty of leeway for someone as delusional and drunk on power as Castiel to define himself as god.
The writers haven't made Cas 'God'. Cas is calling himself 'god', which is a different thing entirely. With all those souls from purgatory crammed inside him Cas is deluding himself into believing he's something he's not. It'll be interesting to see how the writers manage this situation - whether Cas will self-destruct, or someone/thing else will destroy him, or whether the Winchesters can manage to save him somehow - the possibilities are endless. I'm all for trusting the writers to do the best thing for the show as a whole, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
Read your history books...All over the world for the past 2000+ years all you have to do to be "God" is have a throne and people to project your will upon. Throw in the power of an entire dimension full of things we'd possibly never be able to completely understand, and one anxious host who's got daddy issues, and I can see how the delusion falls into place pretty easily in this situation.
Well, I guess because the first two episode are rather Cas oriented. That could be why. We'll be getting Sam and Dean orient stuff soon enough. I'm excited about it.
Not exactly. There is a demon or something that is bigger than anything the have dealt with and there is no knowledge on how to fight it. It starts in episode two. Sam and Dean will be on the run, trying to find ways to kill. Nothing works any more. Everything is different. I also have heard that law is finally going to be going after them, also. These are the stuff come out in rumors and such over the last few months. We have to wait and see.
It must not be too bad. Jensen Ackles has gone mentioned more than once questioning anything that goes against his faith. If this is really close to blasphem, I can't see him doing it.
I agree with you on that. What' I'd like to see happen is for Cas to find redemption, have relationship with Dean healed, and lose what is inside of him. Someone told me that Death was coming to reap God. I thought they meant the real God, but now I think he's after CAs.
I do remember Jensen talking about not compromising his faith if the script comes too close to blasphemy. Jillyanne does make a good point about all those souls from purgatory that jumped Castiel's bones & meatsuit...oh Lordy, I want our Cas back, I love that Holy Tax Accountant :) As for Death coming after Cas, keep your hands off our messed up angel...bring back Gabriel to help Cas kick Death back in the hole! I dig that smarty-butt angel. So many characters I miss, Ash, Gabriel & I want more Chuck.
:( As happy as I am that the promo is kinda Cass central (yeah cassou) I AM FREAKING OUT! and pissed and sad and AW I'm sure its gonna be awesome that's the worst part ahhaa
They are playing things tighter to the vest this season than any other except season 4. We keep hearing there will be big surprises in the first 2 episodes so my guess is they don't want anything to leak. However, we have heard a lot of general spoilers about a new Big Bad and Sam recovering from the wall. Even though these have been primarily about Cas, they've let other things slip in interviews.
Ha! Just seeing the tweet that there is something new with Supernatural is enough to excite me too. Doesn't matter if it is 4 pictures I saw elsewhere or 9 seconds more film footage. Definitely time to end this hiatus.
LOL. Yeah, the sign at the beginning just freaked me out. Actually this version of Cas really freaks me out. I mean...Cas sees everything, Cas knows what's in our hearts and minds????? God help us, ah, no, maybe not...
I guess you don't know what I meant. Obviously there were many who called themselves "gods", but what I meant is that Castiel always referred to one particular being, calling God his father. And now it's like he just took his name/title because of its power and other's respect/fear towards it.
But anyway, I just meant: Cass, WTH are you doing? ;)
I can see a demon bigger than Lucifer for example. I think bigger that what they fight until now, just God or something with God powers. I agreed. I think they wasted the plot.
Not to mention, there are no gods. Each and every belief in a supernatural being is pure dellusion. There are no 2 humans in the world who worship the same god.
Plus, god is a noun. A god that doesn't even have a name, pathetic. I'd rather believe in Thor, at least he has a name.
I am so looking forward to the new season! Do you think that scene of Sam looking so scared is when Death appears once again? Cannot wait for the new season to get here!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Believe in God he walks among us! Well, yeah if he's Castiel!

ReplyDeleteLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE
ReplyDeleteTranscript it someone please!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on the CW site and freaked out. Apparently it doesn't take much to get me any more excited lately.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me angry? ReplyDelete''When the devil is gone and God take hold, who'll have mercy on our souls...ooohh ooohh death''
ReplyDeleteJuste need to switch 2 words and we can use the song for the premiere :)
This Cas is very scary, and I can't wait to see what he does with all the power from those souls.

Exactly One Month til the new season today

ReplyDeleteNot trying to nitpick (which always means it is nitpicking) but 30 sec. promos are standard, not extended. Nit picked. :)
ReplyDeletePeople can call themselves anything they want, especially if what they're calling themselves is "god."
ReplyDeleteNot only do the scores of religions around the world all have a different interpretation of who or what god is but billions of individuals also have their own opinions on the subject.

Ditto this!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you do it so well - anyone would think you were a regular picker of nits. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my god... I`m so excited and scared at the same time ^^ I want that Cas remains a part of the show!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where the season is going but I can't wait
ReplyDeleteThe writers haven't made Cas 'God'. Cas is calling himself 'god', which is a different thing entirely. ReplyDeleteA lot of speculation. Nothing more, since you've actually yet to see anything more than 2 promos...
ReplyDeleteRead your history books...All over the world for the past 2000+ years all you have to do to be "God" is have a throne and people to project your will upon. Throw in the power of an entire dimension full of things we'd possibly never be able to completely understand, and one anxious host who's got daddy issues, and I can see how the delusion falls into place pretty easily in this situation.
ReplyDeleteexactly what I was thinking. "Oh yay, extended promo...30 seconds?... :/ "
ReplyDeleteActually, God is everywhere, even when He's Cas.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess because the first two episode are rather Cas oriented. That could be why. We'll be getting Sam and Dean orient stuff soon enough. I'm excited about it.
ReplyDeleteNot exactly. There is a demon or something that is bigger than anything the have dealt with and there is no knowledge on how to fight it. It starts in episode two. ReplyDeleteDid Cas knock Dean down to worship him and bow before him? It looked like it n the promo. I was wondering.
ReplyDeleteI do remember Jensen talking about not compromising his faith if the script comes too close to blasphemy. ReplyDeleteIt seems like every day there is more to be excited about. One month to go and we can all compare Kripkes afterwards. It's gonna be a great season.
ReplyDeleteMe either. Welcome to SpoilerTV. Glad you are here.
ReplyDeleteThe new big bad is not Cas. It seems it's something else. At least that's the impression I get :)
ReplyDeleteOMG I AM SOOOOO EXCITED IT IS RIDICULOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER THIS IS UNFAIR!!!!!
Cool promo, looking forward to the season 7 now
ReplyDeleteMaybe one of the souls Cas swallowed will take over his body and become the new Big Bad...
ReplyDeletecan't wait!!!

Yay, can't wait!
ReplyDeleteMakes sense. I thought you were saying that the writers intended that Cas would actually be God now. :P
ReplyDeleteI can see a demon bigger than Lucifer for example. I think bigger that what they fight until now, just God or something with God powers.
ReplyDeleteI agreed. I think they wasted the plot.
And a lot of interviews from Misha, Jared and Jensen that cleary show that Misha is not working with them on Supernatural set anymore.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention, there are no gods. Each and every belief in a supernatural being is pure dellusion. There are no 2 humans in the world who worship the same god.

Thanks so much! I've been new clip hungry for a long time! Cas ain't lookin to hot!
