Guh, the boys look good! Also, does Robo!Sam sex not count or something? Because he had a crapload of it last season. And aww at Dean being out of practice.
And I can't remember. Is Bobby actually having sex this season? Can it be with Sheriff Mills, please?
I think that the new Big Bad will have something to do with Purgatory..I mean,it's only natural.Maybe something escaped from Cas. I'm wondering if there'll be a connection between the Big Bad and what the guys said about Cas swallowing some pretty bad stuff.I'm standing behind my theory..The scene where he lies in the pool of blood is happening inside his mind!Maybe trapped by the souls.
Loved Jensen saying its not just a Dean storyline it's a brothers storyline them back together and that's a good thing. Indeed it is a good thing ourshow is back and I too jensen miss the episodes like Wendigo. Glad to hear the season with be as Jared said peppered with those
I watched this with a silly grin on my face - it's so great to see the boys still so happy in their work. They look as excited for the new season as I am. :)
I can't remember Bobby ever having sex on the show. He has been teasing with the actress who plays Sheriff Mills on Twitter about something happening between them. I thin k it's her.
I just have a feeling that this is going to be a great season. Every little snippet we're hearing sounds so encouraging. They are still saying that no one is talking about Cas' future. There's no certainty yet. I hope they bring him back. I deserves a good ending if the do take hi of the series for a time. He deserves the respect and friend of Dean Winchester. I so want to see that happen.
love this 2 guys really...happy to see that they always enjoy to play together...just sad about castiel/misha....hope that it's not a farewell to this huge character...
Season 7 reall sounds as great as I hoped. I suppose the new Big Bad is someone we never saw before. Castiel and Crowley will apear again, sure but I doubt any of them is the Big Bad, that would be far to easy. But Crowley being Crowley tries to forge some kind of allicance with the new Big Bad only to trick him/her in the end.
Imagine the new Big Bad could be some remaining monster from purgatory , who is extremly angry that Dean killed it's "Mother" and that Cass took all the other souls in purgatory, except him/her for some reason, and uses them to his end.
A very pissed off new monster from Purgatory who lost practically his/her entire family, because a mortal and an angel had to have it their way. I can totally see that.
thanks! I'm cautiously excited since S6 wasn't my favorite season. Who am I kidding? I haven't liked the last few seasons that much...not like first 3-4 seasons
Anyone else wonder why they keep calling the Winchesters "the boys"? They've been grown men for some time now. Anyway, I am so happy to hear that we will get at least some episodes in which the brothers are facing something that they can handle on their own. I like the idea of doing their research and finding their own answers. In fact, i'm pretty happy all the way around with this interview. I'm glad the characters are addressing how epicly big things have gotten and hopefully after this season we can scale things down some.
"The surest way to come back on the show is to die." Unfortunately, that seems to be true.
Eve didn't have a chance to get boring. She rose, infected a trucker, and died. I think she could have made an awesome Big Bad this season if they hadn't wasted her potential in season 6.
I'd say it is more likely something that escaped Purgatory when Cas opened the door. If Cas isn't going to be the Big Bad this season like I originally thought, it would almost have to be a monster. Cas is too powerful for a demon bad guy, even the King of Hell.
I think most people do refer to them as 'the boys'. I know I do, and so do many of my online-SPN-fan-friends. Then again I still refer to my sons as 'the boys' too - and they haven't been boys for many years. For me it's a term of endearment. :)
I think Crowley is going to be crawling for a bit. Not that I think that will stop his snark. He's chained to Cas for good or bad and I have to believe that another demon is after his job. I think it will take awhile before Crowley can try to manipulate a new big bad. I just hope we get to see him in several episodes this season. It could be that his story line is also coming to an end.
I'm pretty sure the Supernatural gag order is only allowing fluff to pass their lips. Supernatural always tries to play things close to the vest but it seems like they are going overboard this season. That makes me really excited about what is around the bend. The last time they tried to hide something this well, Cas arrived and brought his angel buddies.
I totally would've been happy with them just doing like a 4-5 episode arc (from Appt in Samarra) for hunting Eve to finally get to Mommy Dearest for the Crowley reveal/Eve death. I think that would've been sufficient if they could've actually thrown some real monsters at the Brothers... None of those arachnid people with the plastic cobwebs. *facepalm*
I can't wait for these especially. The nostalgia factor alone would be enough for me. Now, if they could get some quality monsters, and make it actually scary, I'll be completely appeased...Until we see where the overall arc of the season goes of course. :P
I don't think so since the big bad will be introduced in the season episode and the 'New' Cas was pretty much introduced in the finale and will be in the premiere too, not the 2nd episode
Me too! I want that show back! I've missed it so much and the brothers like we knew them, as we saw towards the end of Season 6 that close brotherly bond reinstated the two of them fighting evil side by side not each other. What I wouldn't give for a classic haunting or how about the headless horseman I use to suggest that constantly. Guess I gave up when the Apocalypse and Angel mythology dragged on endlessly and basically suffocated what use to be
I can't wait for these too! Actually I'm a little scared been waiting so long and with the broken promises it would happen . It's a wonderful thought the boys back on the road again just the two of them, the nitty gritty of it and figuring how to get out of tough situations themselves.
I noticed that too. There have been references and key talking points to everything brotherly and how their relationship used to be (in the series first half) thrown in constantly since mid season 6 It continues to evolve and build and I love it. I have missed that show!
"fighting evil side by side not each other" This sums it up so well and is what appealed to me right from the beginning. That is what i am most excited about in season seven. Don't give up on your headless horseman. That would be a perfect episode around Halloween some year.
I agree they wasted her potential.as I felt they did with the meaning of souls. I imagined it to be something deep and meaningful when Death told Dean souls are more powerful then you can imagine. Was I ever disppointed. They just had too many myth arcs on the table to address any properly. I hope they return to the myth arc distribution like with theyellow eyed demon. The brother up front the myth arc in back and used sparingly and monsters of the week.
I love it that Supernatural is going back to the brother focus because Sam and Dean IS Supernatural. Jensen and Jared have great chemistry, they really make the show work because some of the materials were really lame (angels? really?). Thank goodness SPN is finally getting rid of Castiel.
I keep calling them "the boys" too although I know that they are grown men.
I don't know, but there is something about them and the life they have led, and stll lead, that induces you to consider them as young boys in need of protection and of mothering.
This could also be because we have had glimses into their lives when they were actually children and that just sort of unconsciously comes to mind when you talk about them.
Then I would say that the term "boy" is relative to the society in which you live . In the UK , you will hear on the on the News of sixteen year olds referred to as men whereas here on Italian tv you will hear of 40 year olds referred to as boys.
I have two boys of my own who are out of their teens but in my eyes they will be boys forever.
As for the interview It seems that it is going to be a season 7 with less angel help and more "Sam and Dean working it out together" as in their early seasons brotherly fashion.
This is what I wanted. I just hope that the writers are up to the challenge.
I don't know if it's just me but it seemed that Jensen and Jared were happy, too, at this returning emphasis on going it on their own without heavenly intervention. Perhaps even the two actors themselves felt a little bit put to the side with the heaven arc of the past two seasons.
Even though I like Castiel as a character on the show, I agree. The hole angel thing wasnt my favorite storyline. I enjoyed watching season 4 but i really missed season 1-3 dean & sam. I want it to be actually SCARY again.
Yup. I'd love to hear more classic rock like we used to in season 1-3. Well, we all know it's a budget thing so let's hope the new big boss sees supernatural's potential and forks out some extra money for some classic 60s rock songs :)
Nothing really new was revealed but it was nice seeing this.
Does anyone have a guess why JA, when asked about his storyline, didn't mention the soul-searching he would do that Sera Gamble revealed at Comic-Con? Is it possible he's not informed yet? Or did they decide to drop it? Add me to those who would like really scary MsOTW, but please, no more anthropomorphised monsters. Is it really that expensive?
No offence, but I don't understand this comment. We've had earth-bound monsters this season (shape-shifters, vampires, skin-walkers) and a ghost story. Maybe it was the execution that left you unimpressed or lead to you forgetting them? I know I was unimpressed because for the last few seasons almost every monster is in human form. I would really like it if they stopped doing that..
(this comment is not sarcastic, I'm really curious; I've seen this complain in other comments and I just try to understand)
Well perhaps now that they have less Castiel on the show, the wages they would have had to give to him might be used for the Rock music budget ..........although i don't believe that Castiel has gone from Supernatural.
I think that he will make some kind of surprise appearance later on in the show when we least expect it.....
Perhaps I should say earth-bound monsters that have not been played out. Vampires are dead to me, even on Supernatural. Shapeshifters and skinwalkers I lump into the same category and they have been overused on SPN as well. My season 6 villain break down is this:
djinn (retconned to be far less interesting which was a great shame), shifter, angel, okami (for about 30 seconds), vamp, Veritas (awesome but godlike - um, an easy to kill god), vamps/demons, shifter, fairy realm (terrible addition to the SPN lore even if they were new to the series), demons/shifter/djinn, dragon (cool but lame when turned out to be people shaped), Spider people (the less said the better), mannequins/ghost kidney (less said the better), angels, herpes worm (awesome!), Fate/angels (awesome but too powerful), phoenix (cool but people shaped again), Eve (awesome but too powerful and still taken down too easily), angels/demons, demons, angels
Ah, thanks for clearing it up for me. I see what you mean and I agree completely with you, except maybe the fairies part. It could add an entirely new dimension to the show if the writers chose to use it. I find the possibilities intriguing. But yes, new monsters are in order.
It's sad that Castiel isn't going to be a regular anymore. His character was becoming too convenient. It will be nice to go back to Sam, Dean and sometimes Bobby to figure out what's going on and take it down themselves.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Guh, the boys look good! Also, does Robo!Sam sex not count or something? Because he had a crapload of it last season. And aww at Dean being out of practice.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't remember. Is Bobby actually having sex this season? Can it be with Sheriff Mills, please?
thanks for videos
ReplyDeleteThanks, they are so vague about the storyline of season 7... I hope the new big bad is better than their last one... *cough* boring Eve *cough*
ReplyDeleteSo the big bad is a Demon?
ReplyDeleteIt might be, but the show often uses "demon" in a way that I would probably use "monster".
ReplyDeleteGosh, I miss them. Can't wait for season 7! Currently rewatching entire series - season 2 right now;)
ReplyDeleteGod they're looking so HOT!! I couldn't even concentrate what they were saying for a moment lol
ReplyDeleteI think that the new Big Bad will have something to do with Purgatory..I mean,it's only natural.Maybe something escaped from Cas.

ReplyDeleteGoing to start a mantra We need Castiel! Thank you love seeing this guys. They were so great at Comic Con too. Jared was wonderful by himself too.

ReplyDeleteThat was a bit of fluff. 3 videos and not much substance.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else wonder why they keep calling the Winchesters "the boys"? They've been grown men for some time now. Dean had Lisa at least in the first part of the season.
ReplyDeleteThat is intriguing about Bobby. My bet is that it is NOT with Marcy. :-)
Eve didn't have a chance to get boring. She rose, infected a trucker, and died. I think she could have made an awesome Big Bad this season if they hadn't wasted her potential in season 6.

ReplyDeleteThat makes sense. I guess for me it sounds odd and a tad creepy. That's the middle school teacher in me.
ReplyDeletemy *first* thought was that the big bad is Cass.

ReplyDeleteSeason 7 better surpass season 6. I cringe at the very thought of it being similar... it was all over the place.
ReplyDeleteHeh. Alphas.
