For a second there, I almost developed a dangerous arrhythmia because I mistakenly read the post's title and thought Supernatural had cast Patrick Stewart.
I remember this actor in All My Children, a good 20 or 25 years ago. He is an excellent bad guy and he was bad then too. Too bad he had to die. Have seen him since in CSI as a lawyer from time to time.
As always excited about season 7 and anyone that the King of Hell is wooing has to be one doozy of a bad guy. Still it was bugging me to no end where this guy was from. Since I have no acquaintance with anything 90210, I ended up IMDb-ing him. He played Wade's love in one of my favorite episodes of Sliders. It brings me back a decade or so.
lol that reminds me of being a preteen/teenager watching shows like Charmed and now I can spot any guest star anywhere. (Including 4x01 of SPN... "I totally know that angel!... CHARMED.")
Not sure about that. He would be a very big "get"and while I love Supernatural, they do tend to waste their big "gets". Linda Blair was awkward in the Usual Suspects. Tricia Helfer was good but in the relatively bland Roadkill. Robert Englund didn't even play a bad guy in Appointment in Samarra. Probably the only really big get I enjoyed more than I thought I would was Paris Hilton and that's only because of the monologue right before her death.
Not having the Castiel/ angel storyline around anymore ( for the moment at least... ) has opened the way for other fresh, new plots and characters.
Supernatural was needing and ready for this and it is proved by the enthusiasm that seems to be pervading the fans, me included, regarding season 7.
The fact that Crowley is still around is fitting, as I have always seen him as being much more cunning that Castiel, and therefore more likely to land on his feet after a defeat of any kind.
Demons were present before the angels showed up anyway so it's correct to keep some around......... I love his interaction with Sam and Dean too.
Cool! but at first I thought that this was the Patrick Stewart as in Jean-Luc Picard, but no such luck... That would be a cool guest role would it not?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Awesome! Extremely excited for season seven!

ReplyDeleteHe probably uses his middle name just for that exact reason. :P

ReplyDeleteYes, that and I believe there's a guild rule about actors not being allowed to have identical stage names.
ReplyDeleteIntrigued by the title of this ep...can't wait.
ReplyDeleteSeason 7 is getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it'll be an interesting season

Me too! That wasn't funny! I haven't seen the guy yet and I don't like him!
ReplyDeleteagreed, how SPN writers are able to waste talent/opportunities like those mentioned I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteSeason 7 is bringing lots of talented/big names even just for small roles, lets hope they are utilised better than past guest stars have been.

ReplyDeletethanks for these spoilers
