Supernatural - Favorite 20th Episode - Poll

4 Aug 2011

Sorry for the delay guys, but my computer completely died and I can't get a new one until Friday. Add to that the air conditioning going out in 100 degree weather and it's been an interesting couple of days. Thanks for the patience and now back to the polls. I will post polls as I have access to a computer this week. The winner of the favorite 18th poll was Point of No Return with 37% of the votes (131 votes) and Frontierland came in second with 24% (85 votes). Today we have my favorite episode of all going against an episode many people, not me, loved from season 6. It should be an interesting match.

Dead Man's Blood - The first of the vampire episodes and the return of John. I thought this was an okay episode, but nothing special. I loved Luther and the introduction of the Colt was legendary. I also liked the conversation between John and Sam since they rarely ever talked without yelling or disagreeing. It had some great lines too. "I usually draw the line at necrophilia." "Vampires - gets funnier every time I hear it." "Spent it on ammo."

What is and What Should Never Be - This is hands-down my favorite episode of all time. For a full (read way too long) discourse on why, you can read the review. Let's suffice to say that seeing the brothers happy after John's death, the hideous burden he left Dean, and Sam's going "darkside" turmoil, was long overdue. It was a relief to see them genuinely happy and laughing - even if it wasn't real. The piggybacking off the pilot was awesome and the djinn was one of the coolest monsters around. There is nothing I don't like in this episode. I didn't even mind the emotional monologue over John's grave.

The Rapture - I rarely rewatch this episode. It falls into the black hole of the end of season 4 where I would rather pretend Supernatural didn't go. However, I remember that I liked Claire and I'm sure Misha Collins was as impressive as ever. In general though, I hardly remember this episode.

The Devil You Know - This episode hit on most cylinders for me. It included a lot of back story with the Brady twist. Kind of hate that Sam was still targeted in those carefree college days, but it was a great reveal. Crowley was at his best "Lovers in league against Satan" - BWAH! This episode had great pacing and snark - my favorite combination. Plus the Bobby and Crowley deal. All in all, a great episode.

The Man Who Would Be King - Unlike everyone it seems, I dislike this episode, more every time I watch it in fact.. I found it low on action and far too talky, violating the principle of show don't tell. While I understand the need to get Cas' point of view on what's happening, I don't think they needed all the monologues, especially when they stop the action to tell you what happened. I also detest the recapping within the episode. We don't have that short of attention spans.

  1. My ranking this round:

    1.  What is and What Should Never Be - by a whole lot
    2.  The Devil You Know
    3.  Dead Man's Blood
    4.  The Rapture
    5.  The Man Who Would Be King

    ReplyDelete
  2. I voted for The Man Who Would Be King because I was hesitant on bringing Crowley back but the episode changed my mind somewhat on the matter.
    So here's my order:

    1. The Man Who Would Be King
    2. What is and What Should Never Be - close 2nd, great episode, not of the best imo but great
    3. The Rapture - loved the Castiel's meat suit's family
    4. Dead Man's Blood - John Winchester
    5. The Devil You Know - didn't enjoy it because it was crammed in the middle of a great final run of Season 5

  3. Whoa, all of them are very good.
    1. The Man Who Would Be King - A different approach and it pays off.2. The Devil You Know - Crowley at his best!3. The Rapture - Seeing Castiel's vessel was great and the heart breaking moment at the end brings it home.4. What is and What Should Never Be - I didn't enjoy this one as much as some people, but I can see why others do5. Dead Man's Blood - My honest thought when this episode ended was..."Huh? Supernatural did True Blood before True Blood did it!". I felt like the vamp nest was not the greatest subplot, it really only served to rebuild trust between John and the Boys.

  4. 1. The Rapture
    2. The Devil You Know (a close second)
    3. The Man Who Would Be King
    4. Dead Man's Blood
    5. What Is And What Should Never Be

The Rapture may be one of the darkest and episodes of the entire series but it's also one of the best.

What Is And What Should Never Be is dead last because "what if" episodes are almost always a waste of time on any series and this is no exception.  Shows write these episodes because they have some point to make about a character (or characters), but instead of doing it efficiently in a conversation or a short scene they burn an entire episode on a sequence of events that ultimately doesn't matter one iota.  It's a self-indulgent waste of the audience's time.

  6. I'll have to go with What is and What Should Never Be. On it's own it is an amazing episode, beautifully written, shot, and acted. Combine that with the emotional set up of having Dean choose to return to Sam & reality only to have Sam die in the next episode... brilliant! I love the lawn mowng scene... and seeing the boys happy... just highlights how tough their life really is, and what heroes they are to continue.

  7. Bringing Crowley back was the one positive in TMWWBK for me.  I love his snarky, swarmy evil.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I think Dead Man's Blood was there to introduce the Colt.  I have no idea why they went to vampires as the MotW though.  I agree that The Devil You Know was a great showcase for Crowley.  Plus,  Crowley in the Impala was just weird.

    ReplyDelete
  9. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.  I will never think of WiaWSNB as a waste of my time.  Not one second of the over 100 times I've seen it.  :-)

    ReplyDelete
  10. It was a punch in the gut to see Sam die after that beautiful choice to return to him.  My favorite part about the lawn mowing scene is when Dean waving to the neighbor and the neighbor is taken aback and then waves.  Actually, it is the music playing during it.  There's a reason why What a Wonderful World is the number one song on my iPod.  (the original - although I like both versions).

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ya for sure Crowley is a great character, I'm just not a fan of the whole "oh psych this character didn't actually die" scenarios but I thought his version of Hell was...well quite literally hell.

  12. Agreed.  I have a hard enough time waiting in the hellacious lines at Wal-Mart.  To wait in lines for eternity?  Now that is torture.

  13. 1. The Man who Would be King
    2. The Devil You Know

  14. I've come to realize, throughout the process of participating in these polls, that you and I are very different in terms of what we like and what we appreciate on this show.  Sometimes, how you and I enjoy Supernatural seems completely different on a basic, fundamental level.

There's nothing wrong with that.  I'm just sayin'...  :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I am often at odds in my opinions with other SpoilerTV Supernatural fans.  I knew before starting this contest that my opinion would differ every time with a couple people who post here regularly.  For some people it has been a surprise.  However, that's what keeps Supernatural on the air in my opinion.  If people with widely different tastes can each appreciate something about it, then it has a broad appeal that few genre shows have these days.  I like how there is always something, even in the worst episodes, to grab onto and enjoy.  Even if those things are totally different for each of us.

  16. The Man Who Would Be King!!!! best episode of season 6!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I can certainly agree with that.

    Dahne,

I totally agree with you about the Rapture and The Man Who Would be King. I don't hate Castiel necessarily but I'm not a fan of the angel storyline or of any episode that has the brothers sidelined...

In this list I would say that for me the best is What Is and What Should Never Be. I'm a HUGE fan of the early seasons mainly because it was a perfect mix of angst and fun brotherly stuff. Admittedly, in the last seasons, the acting has been fantastic and there are some episodes that overshadow by far the earlier ones but overall, for me the constant heavy angst has been too much...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Not only to have to wait in a super long line, but when you have that slight satisfaction of getting to the front, you go right to the back.  I shiver at the thought of it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My ranking here
    1. What is and What Should Never Be - adored this one Sad for Dean to lose this dream
    2. The Devil You Know - Got this script from Mark himself in an auction for cancer he was awesome
    3. Dead Man's Blood - for John Winchester alone
    4. The Man Who Would Be King
    5. The Rapture

    ReplyDelete
  21. I totally agree with you. This was a great episode.
I also really like the bitch-jerk scene (Sam: What're you calling me a bitch for? Dean: You're supposed to say jerk. Sam: What? Dean: Nevermind.)

    ReplyDelete
  22. 1. What Is and What Should Never Be
    2. Dead Man's Blood
    3. The Rapture
    4. The Man Who Would Be King
    5. The Devil You Know

Of course if I was to watch all of the episodes again, I bet The Devil You Know would be higher up for me. I just don't remember anything great about it, and I can at least remember some good points from The Rapture and The Man Who Would Be King even though neither of those are particularly high up episodes for me.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's one of my favorite scenes too.  It encapsulated why this world would never work because the brothers were so out of tune with each other.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm anti-"what if" when it's meant to be a mythological episode (see Fringe's season finale for an example of a "what-if" episode that I kind of hated). But "filler" what-ifs are just fun. Since Supernatural does so many one-off "monster of the week" episodes that don't play into the show's mythology, I don't see a problem with the what-if in those situations. This was just a more creative version of the typical MotW formula.

Supernatural was going to use the episode to get the brothers to fight a one-off monster that had no significance to the mythology anyway, so why not get a little creativity out of it? And surely we got more depth into Dean's character from seeing how he would have lived in this what-if universe than we would have from a typical Impala-talk where closeted Dean wouldn't get into the idea of giving up hunting for his dream life.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I didn't really think about them both being Cas episodes.  I just really, really don't like the end of season 4.  I am not a fan of the angel story line either.  At first I was okay with it.  By season 5 I was done with them.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well I don't believe it Dahne - once again we've rated episodes in exactly the same order.
My dislike for The Man Who Would Be King grows every time I watch it - which is not nearly as often as pretty much every other episode EVER. I'm not a fan of the angel storyline anyway and wasting an entire episode on Cas monologuing just irritates me no end. The Rapture is next - again the angel theme is part of my rating. I don't see the point of taking a whole episode to tell us where Cas got his meatsuit.  I kinda liked Dead Man's Blood - the introduction of the Colt was crucial, and the Supernatural take on vampires was cool. Main drawback: John. The Devil You Know - this episode had Crowley AND Bobby! And Dean backing Sam up to kill Brady - I love the twist that Sam's life was crawling with demons for so long.

What Is and What Should Never Be gets my vote here. No more words - for why I love it so much see Dahne's reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That is cool that you got the script.  I adore Mark Sheppard as an actor.  That he was helping out in a cancer auction helps me like him as a person too.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Definitely re-watch The Devil You Know.  It was kind of overlooked in the rush the salvage the Apocalypse but I thought it was a good episode.  One thing I've enjoyed this hellatus is watching the episodes over again in Live Chat.  It has given me a new perspective on some of the episodes by seeing what other people notice.  Still, we are only at the end of season 4 so I hope that I will see season 5 in a different light too, especially since I don't particularly care for it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree that this episode didn't upset any major plot lines and was just fun to watch.  The interplay of two brothers happy in their own little world but having no connections really got to me.  The choice to give up that happiness, even though it was fake, to return to a world of violence and terror just so you could lean on that connection with your brother was a strong selling point for me.

  30. hmmm,  I need to ramble about the eps before I can figure out which to click off as my favorite.

I hope you're sitting down Dahne because I agree with you about "The Man Who Would Be King."  Bottom of my list as well, possibly not for the same reasons.  The format of the eps, with the voice over and narration isn't what knocked me off kilter for this one.  What I absolutely did not like was Dean.  He felt out of character to me. There was no moment where Dean reacted to Castiel like they'd ever been friends.  I was with Cas.  He'd given up a lot to support Dean and not only did Dean attempt to understand, he never even listened.  It was just *bam* you're nothing to me now if you don't do things my way.   It just felt, to me, like an ep where the writer was making things happen because that's what the writer wanted and not because that's where the story wanted to go.  I think I would have been happier if we hadn't been given a belated 'here's what's been going on all along' episode.  I'm not sure how they couldn't have done differently but...there ya go."The Devil You Know" I am simply not fond of the...'oh everything was always connected' retrospect episodes.  Enjoyed everything but the...your best friend was always a Demon who was manipulating you aspect of the episode.

    Ah! I've got it:

What is and What Should Never Be
    The Rapture
    Dead Man's Blood
    The Devil You Know
The Man Who Would Be King

    ReplyDelete
  31. Wow!  That's kind of amazing.  For me, it's odd because the more I see TMWBK the more I dislike it.  However, DMB, which I initially could not stand, I like better each time I see it.  I think that is because the mythology brought forth in that episode means more and more as the seasons progress.  Now I look at it and I see Samuel Colt and the original Elkins.  Even the vampires don't bother me as much after meeting Lenore and finding out about Grandpa Creepy's magic anti-vamp potion.  It seems like every season I can find another episode to connect to this one, whereas in the beginning I found the story line to be rather weak.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who didn't like TMWWBK.  After reading Maureen Ryan and other people's reviews, I thought maybe I missed something.  Then I watched it the 3rd time and realized, nope I just dislike it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm going to stick up for The Man Who Would Be King, mainly because it does some pretty important things for the volume of the season. (I tend to think of each season as a volume and each episode as a chapter in my favorite book.) TMWWBK is such a pivotal chapter, because it helps draw together the entire volume aka season. Up until this episode we didn't know who brought Sam back or why, who brought Samuel back or why, what the whole soul powering the war effort thing was about and what exactly the relationship between Cas and Crowley was. I loved seeing an episode from Castiel's point of view because it was so unusual. We almost exclusively see everything from Dean's POV. I like that in the main, but as a fan of Castiel, getting a window into his rather defenseless suckering by Crowley and his total overestimation of his own abilities was fascinating. Seeing how he was led one innocent mistake by bad decision at a time down the terrible path he goes down was a character study that was critical to the rest of the story. By the end when he is asking for a sign, he is no better off than any other clueless human being trapped by choices, asking for signs which we are often incapable of seeing. Since it is so dramatic, so revelatory and contributed so much to the canon on Castiel's character I have to say it's the top for me. I'd actually put it higher than 20. :)

  34. 1. The Many Who Would Be King
    2. What Is And What Should Never Be
    3. The Devil You Know
    4. The Rapture
    5. Dead Man's Blood ... I just don't like the SPN Vampire stories. At all.

  35. the man who would be king! just cause imma castiel fangirl

  36. 1)  What Is And What Should Never Be
One of my favourIte episodes along with Mystery Spot and It's a Terrible Life
I just love to see the boys in alternative universe situations and observe their reactions to the new scenario around them.

    2)  The Devil You Know
It expanded our insights into Sam, and Crowley is just too good in the part of a demon.

    3)  Dead Man's Blood
    OK episode.
We found out about the Colt, got some interaction between the boys and John, as for the rest I am not a fan of vampires, so that's about it.

    4 ) The Rapture.
We get the Castiel back story but as I am not a great fan of his, it's not an episode I would choose to watch on it's own. Felt sorry for his family, though.

  37. For me it was a toss up between What is & What Should Never Be and The Devil You Know.In the end I voted on the former.

you and me both...that is exactly how I feel about the angel storyline and why I didn't like S5...

    ReplyDelete
  39. What is and What Should Never be wins for me.  great episode.  The Man Who Would Be King is also a great episode though.

    ReplyDelete
  40. For me it's TMWWBK without question.  That was the turning point for me - when season 6 went from meh to being pretty cool.  I rewatched it a few times and each time I did I picked up on new levels of meaning.  It's like a piece of literature where every line is carefully chosen and sheds light on what season 6 was about.  I loved seeing things from Cas's POV - not just the Crowley reveal - but the history of the world, what Heaven looks like to an angel, and how Crowley had reformed Hell.  I loved the Crowley/Cas scenes (I crack up every time I hear Crowley call Cas "kitten,"  and I thought it had some good action - Cas trapped in the ring of fire, the Crowley demons coming to attack/rescue, and Cas smiting the Ellsworth demons.

Second choice would be WIAWSNB.  It was a nice filler and more of a feel-good episode, but I think with this being season 6 going on season 7, I feel like I've had my share of episodes on why the boys hunt.

Third would be Dean Man's Blood.  This was one of the better episodes of season 1.  I liked the interactions between John and the boys, I liked the vampires, and I liked the history of the Colt.

Fourth would be The Devil You Know, mostly because of Crowley.

Fifth is Rapture.  I love Cas but found Jimmy kind of dull.

  41. ARGH why is whatisandwhatshouldneverbe the same #ep as rapture !!!!

any way Best Episode EVER WIAWSNB soooo yep no1

I had to pick What Is and What Should Never Be.  I never used to be that big of a fan of that episode, but over the years I have grown to love it. It has its funny moments, its heartwarming moments, and its emotional moments. I think the best Supernatural episodes are the ones that can make you laugh and smile, but can also evoke some emotion too. And the scene when Dean is talking to his father's grave...it gets me every time.

  44. alot of great ones here.
in fact, except for dead mans blood (which to me doesn't really seem to feel like a 3rd last episode compared to the others), all these episodes are actually really awesome and i love all of them
it was not however, difficult at all to choose a favourite because, regardless of how awesome the man who would be king was, i love love love what is and what should never be. it is extremely high on my list of favourite episodes and has not been moved in a while.
so, a lot of great choice today but there was really no competition in my eyes

    ReplyDelete
  45. 1. What is and What Should Never Be
    2. The Devil You Know
    3. Dead Man's Blood
    4. The Man Who Would be King
    5. The Rapture

    ReplyDelete
  46. WOW this is easy:

Dead Mans Blood you can't beat the three Winchester Boys, they had the chemistry that is legendary.
What is and What should never be - well that was perfection, the acting alone
The Devil You Know, had some wonderful brother moments and the boys acting was supurb
Do I even have to rate the other ones:
The Rapture - it did have that last five minutes I suppose
TMWWBK - Truely horrible.  Had the boys being lap dogs and so out of character that I can't even bring myself to watch that absolute crap.  Terrible Ben Edlund.  Emotional?  Not in the least.

    ReplyDelete
  47. wow, the way some episodes are loved by some fans and hated by others never stops amazing me in this show. The best part is, there really is something for everyone in Supernatural. And in the end, we all just love our boys ;)

by the way, I decided to vote for What Is and What Should Never Be. I love TMWWBK, but there are some things I could live without (the quarrel with Raphael in heaven comes to mind) and WIAWSNB doesn't have such moments. I guess. But TMWWBK is a very close second, becoming first at times.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 1. .Devil you know  .... love Crowley and finding out Sam's college friend was possessed much of the time he knew him and Brady was actually the demon that killed Jess ( a retcon, but an acceptible one) was heartbreaking.
2/3 tie between DMB and WIAWSNB ... strong family moments!

and .... bringing up the far rear
    4. The Rapture ... boring Jimmy backstory, to me the episode only gained steam when the demons attacked Jimmy, Amelia and Claire. Claire was a great Castiel though.

    5. TMWWBK - I absolutely loathe this episode and have already deleted it from all recordings

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes, it was hard to watch Sam die in the next episode after Dean made the selfless choice to return the "real world". I didn't start reading spoilers, interviews or even watching promos much until S6 started but I got an eerie feeling that Sam would be seriously hurt or killed in the final two episodes of S2 because Alt!Jess told Dean that he didn't have to worry about Sam anymore, that he would watch Sam have a full life. To me that was one of many examples of excellent foreshadowing that was used in S1 and S2.

  50. 1-dead mans blood
    2-the devil you know
    3-what it is
    4-the rapture
5-the man who would be king

    ReplyDelete
  51. It was tough, but I had to go with The Man who would be King for my top spot.
As much as I like What is and What Should never Be, King just beat it out.

The rest of these are pretty much in the bottom for me :) If I have to pick a #3, it would be the Devil you Know...just for the Crowley of it all.

    ReplyDelete
  52. "What is and what never should be" HANDS DOWN!

    ReplyDelete
  53. The Man Who Would Be King is definitely mytharc heavy and it does fill in many holes we still had due to the noir thing.  However, it was definitely stuck in tell mode instead of show and that is one of my biggest criticisms of it.  TV is a show medium - tell does not translate well on it for me.  I'm not sure I consider him as innocent of things in the beginning as you do either.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I loved Bloodlust and I thought Fresh Blood was a nice twist, but overall I'm not enthralled with their vampire stories either.  Although in all honesty that may because I am thoroughly sick of vampires in general at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I thought the glimpses of Sam's college life we got in TDYK were awesome if depressing.  They may have missed the boat for developing this further but I always wanted to know more about his adjustment to college and how he and Jessica got together.  This episode whetted my appetite to know more.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I too wish they had used a different monster in Exile on Main St than the djinn.  I liked that episode but the djinn was so unique (killing you by giving you what you want) that it deserved only the best episodes and a story line that didn't make the djinns a side line.

I do hope you vote in the season finale.  It will be awesome to hear what everyone has to say about those episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  57. If it wasn't an alternate reality episode, this would be the episode I would recommend to people who haven't seen Supernatural.  It's a bit lighter on the gore than other episodes but other than that it encompasses everything I think Supernatural is.  The times when the tone changes so much throughout the episode tends to be my favorites too.  Changing Channels is another great example of that.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hi Ami.  Welcome to our Supernatural episode contest.  Thanks for commenting.  You made me laugh with "It did have that last 5 minutes I suppose."

    ReplyDelete
  59. These polls have highlighted what people find intriguing about Supernatural.  I love how everyone loves the show passionately but for different reasons.  I've rarely found that in genre shows and I've seen a lot of those.

    ReplyDelete
  60. TDYK was one of the few retcons that I didn't mind either.  I would prefer that YED had killed Jessica too but I found the idea of a demon befriending and shadowing Sam in college to be so creepy and intense that I didn't mind that part of it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. WIAWSNB hands down!!! I think it will always be my favorite Dean episode!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I believe that in one of the comic con interviews, Jared said that  at one time he would like to have explored more of Sam's college years but that now they were projected into the future and that it was unlikely.

Yes,it wasn't very nice for Sam to find out that even at Stanford he had demons on his tail
I always love the boys back stories and we know we will get one at least with little Sam.
    Hope there will be more.

    ReplyDelete
  63. oh, you're gonna hear a lot of what I have to say about the episodes ;P I'm just afraid I won't be able to choose.
but I'm really curious what people will be voting for. My guess is either All Hell Breaks Loose or Swan Song will win. My dilemma is gonna be between seasons 1,2,4 and 6.

  64. Well, the thing is, I actually love vampires. I'm all ears whenever somebody wants to tell me about a new vampire story. I love that writers got really creative and that there's not only this cliché picture of vampires anymore but that it can be widely interpreted. (E.g. I didn't mind the sparkling vampires in Twilight too much. I mean. Why not? It's something completely different and I loved that somebody had the guts to actually write that idea down.)

Anyways. Supernatural. I don't like they're vampires. No, let me put it differently: I hate their vampires. Something about them seems not right to me. Seeing them more often and on a more regular basis might change my mind, but with the few episodes we got, I can say that I wish we actually wouldn't get any more, because they're the worst supernatural-beings they ever wrote into the show.

Again, not because I hate vampires. But because I simply hate THEIR vampires. And I can't even explain why.

  65. I agree somewhat with you, Dahne, but not totally.  I don't mind a story with large amount of talking, once in a while.  If I think it's good writing.  I like The Man Who Would Be King.  We usually agree, so this one surprised me.

    1.  What is and What Should Never Be - 100% agree with you.  This is by far the best episode ever.
    2.  Dead Man's Blood
    3.  The Devil You Know
    4.  The Man Who Would Be King
    5.  Rapture

  66. So you like Twilight vampires but not Supernatural ones?  Hmm.  I think I'm going to agree to disagree here too.  :-)

  67. I won't be choosing Swan Song or Lucifer Rising (except I love the Ruby death).  The others are harder to choose from for me too.

  68. We do vote similarly on these.  It's been nice to know at least one person doesn't think I am crazy.  :-P  Perhaps another reason why I didn't like TMWWBK is that I had to recap all the freaking talking.  The sucker was over 3 times longer than a normal episode recap.  Actually it was longer than a movie I recapped.  I'm still bitter.  :-)

  69. Hey, Marilyn,

Good to see you on here.  When are we going to get together and chat on Facebook.  I want hear about the script you got from Mark.   It's been a long time since we talked.

  70. I haven't had the opportunity to watch in Live Chat, but I have watched all of the seasons again during hellatus.  Some of them, I barely remembered.  The Devil You Know was one of them.  I must admit, I was impressed.  I had forgotten how good it actually was.

  71. Well, I like the Supernatural vampires.  They're more real then the Twilight ones. The Twilight ones are about the dumbest things I've ever read about.  I tried to read one of the books.  I didn't get past one chapter.  It was poorly written, with bad grammar, punctuation, and spelling.  I will take a Supernatural vampire, Moonlight, True Blood, and even Vampire Diaries, but keep Twilight away from me. lol  You can have them.

  72. Are you kidding with "The Rapture" and "Man who would be King"?  Two of the most boring episodes ever!  The latter was so full of omissions of Cas' actions in past episodes that it was laughable if it weren't so pitiful with Cas' whining and self righteousness and self entitlement.  Cas did nothing but lie all season 6, even his narrative to God were lies by omissions.

  73. Hey guys!  Thanks as always for commenting.  The next poll will be delayed until tomorrow night when my new computer should be uploaded and ready.  Sorry it won't be up today.

  74. As you've said ''What is and What never should be'' is one of the best - & I agree, IMHO it's the best ever!

    For me it's:
    1. ''What is and What never should be'' - For me, hands-down - THE BEST EVER!
    2. ''The Devil you know'' - Great episode, couldn't describe it better than you!
    3. ''The Man who would be King'' - It was really close for me, 3 or 4 here? I did like this episode, it just beat ''Dead Man's Blood''.
    4. ''Dead Man's Blood'' - I like this episode, but, for me it doesn't beat ''The Man who would be King''.
    5. ''The Rapture'' - I didn't care for this episode, not much.

  75. Well, they are definitely not my fave vampires either, but I do like them better than the ones in Supernatural.
My opinion of the vampires in Supernatural is probably very much linked to the story lines with the vampires though. Since I never liked any of the episodes, I guess it figures that I don't quite like the vampires as well XD Maybe it's even that damn vampire-hunter's fault. I just couldn't stand him. Ever. Something about him made me want to throw something against my screen / at him everytime he talked.

  76. Well, the books really aren't written really well. Same for Vampire Diaries, btw. ... I love the show, but it's sometimes difficult to get through the books because the writing is so weird.
But the grammar and everything doesn't really influence the simple idea. As I said already, I liked that it's quite a new idea. Not the cliché vampire.
And then again, what's "real" for a vampire anyways since they do not really exist. But I get what you mean =)

Oh, and I don't wanna "have them" ... I'm not too much of a fan as well. I was just explaining something (and certainly didn't wanna start a twilight discussion. I know that most people absolutely hate it *shrugs*)

  79. I'm happy that other people loved WiaWSNB too.  Generally I get teased a lot for my obsession with this episode but I truly adore it.  It's one of my favorite TV episodes of all time.  I can watch it over and over again without tiring and I have played What a Wonderful World over 300 times on my iPod.   By the way, welcome to SpoilerTV.  Thanks for sharing your comments.
