  1. Hm, I would bet Kate Austeen or Olivia Dunham. But I'm supporting Phoebe Buffay!

  2. Dana Scully, Kate Beckett, Olivia Dunham, Temperance Brennan, and Phoebe Buffay!!

  3. Kate Beckett - CastleLeslie Knope - Parks & Rec

    Teresa Lisbon - The Mentalist

  4. Nice, my nominee Leslie Knope made it in the competition ! She'll be crushed in the next rounds, but still.

Sadly, Liz Lemon isn't here. Well, there are not many comedy women (Phoebe, Penny and Leslie).

It's funny that more people voted for Katherine than for Elena.

Sarah, Sidney, Buffy, Veronica, Nikita, Debra... lots of great ass-kicking leads here.

Olivia Dunham stands a decent chance at winning, obviously, and I have to say I'm not against it.

  5. Well we all know the list of females who will ACTUALLY have a chance....but i'm going for TERESA LISBON THE MENTALIST!

  6. Teresa Lisbon, what was it that Jane said? "poocket-rocket, dynamite, heavily armed and cute as a button"

  12. Abby Sciuto and Fiona Glenanne.  Woo hoo!  Parker too!  This list gets better the more I read it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I didn't realize both Katherine and Elena are in the race.  I have mixed feelings about that.  My guess is Olivia Dunham wins too but I hope Buffy stays in for the long haul too.

  14. This is gonna be a tough competition.  So many of these ladies are awesome.  I'm not even sure who I'm rooting for yet.

  15. I'm in the second season of Castle right now and it's been a great surprise.  I thought I would be hum drum about it but of all the shows I've watched this summer this one is the one I most look forward to seeing in the mailbox.  It's funnier than I thought it would be.  Alexis is the most awesome kid on TV and Beckett rocks all around.  I'm not such a fan of Castle himself, but he's very slowly growing on me.  In the end, the secondary characters much like in NCIS and White Collar, really make this series.

  16. For this is a fairly simple poll. Not many of the women listed will be remembered as all-time greats...
    Buffy SummersVeronics Mars
    Sidney Bristow

  17. I was told about an online community for individual seeking baby boomer and
senior dating. It is --BoomerMingle.com--- All baby boomer singles and senior
singles there are seeking senior dating or relationships. Many serious and
verified members. Age is not a problem here, but a great merit to cherish!

  18. Olivia Dunham and Nikita (=

  19. Sigh, it's so predictable. Dunham will win because Supernatural has no female leading actress LMAO. Fans are predictable.
I just wanna say Leslie Knope deserves it!

    ReplyDelete
  20. lol female and actress in the same sentence, i fail in life.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Agreed. Looking at this list, it kind of makes me sad in that I think there are a LOT more "classic" or "great" male characters out there. That being said, the three you named are excellent definitely great (especially Buffy).

It's also nice to see some Game of Thrones love for Daenerys. It also shows how silly HBO was to submit Lena Heady as lead and Emilia Clarke as supporting. Honestly, they both should have been supporting, but Emilia Clarke has a much better claim to lead than Heady. Next year's noms will be interesting too. Will Peter Dinklage be lead male? Book 2 is largely about him. I'd also like to see some love for child actors Maisie Williams is SO GOOD.

  22. Teresa Lisbon - The Mentalist

    ReplyDelete
  23. Dana Scully has a chance at getting votes.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think the frontrunners are probably Olivia Dunham, Buffy, Veronica Mars, or one of TVD characters/LOST characters. I'll be pulling for Olivia, Veronica, Alicia Florrick, and Buffy/Phoebe Buffay.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Agreed about Lena Headey as Lead Actress. I mean she may have had a bit more face time, but Emilia, or rather Daenerys had an entire story arc about her. She really should be the lead. Possibly both could have been nominated for lead roles in my opinion.

  32. I think there are a lot of "classic" female characters out there but they did not get on this list. I can think of a Top 10 list with no one from the above list... That says something!  Most of these would be in any critics Top 10 list and for sure in their Top 25 list....
Mary Richards (Tyler Moore)Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball)Roseanne (Roseanne Barr)Xena (Lucy Lawless)Edith Bunker (Jean Stapleton)Peg Bundy (Katey Sgal)Jeannie (Barbara Eden)Murphy Brown (Candice Bergin)Carmela Soprano (Edie Falco)Elaine Bennis (Julia-Louis-Dreyfus)

  57. Kate Austen, Olivia Dunham, Buffy and Veronica Mars.

  58. I nominated Carmela Soprano, brought to life by the brilliant Edie Falco. I don't think many people on this site watched The Sopranos.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Buffy will win.

I'm not surprised that my nominee Carmela Soprano didn't make it, because The Sopranos is not well known on this site, but I'm happy my other nominee, Willow, did make it. I'm also happy Alicia Florrick is getting well-deserved respect.

But Buffy is classic, and judging from the comments on the nomination post, very well-liked on this site. She'll be the winner.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Olivia Dunham FTW.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Wasn't Olivia Dunham the female character who got the best placement of the female characters last year. Don't see any strong contenders to her amongst the other females, except maybe Daenerys due to the popularity of GoT. Doubt a female character will win, though. The male characters have this one I fear.

    ReplyDelete
  62. think buffy and beckett will have good runs and hopefully final

    ReplyDelete
  63. Kate Beckett no doubt!!! I will be putting some support over to Phoebe Buffay though.

    ReplyDelete

  75. Although I love Anna Torv's Olivia and Deschanel's Brennan, to me Sydney Bristow by Jennifer Garner is simply epic.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Happy to see Olivia Dunham and Kate Beckett.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I have no idea who will win, but I can say the most LIKEABLE characters:
Blair Waldorf-SO relatable, best in GG
Willow Rosenberg-The lovable nerd, I actually liked her better than Buffy because Buffy always seemed depressed to me.
Temperance Brennan-I love her character how she doesn't have many social skills.
Leslie Knope-C'mon, do I have to explain this one?
Penny- She's so amazing, and Kaley Cuoco is amazing as her.

    ReplyDelete
  78. hmm....stepping gently into commenting waters

  79. Daenerys Targaryen for the win.  I can't believe there aren't more Game of Thrones women up there, like Cersei Lannister and Catelyn Stark.

    Others I would be happy with;
    Caroline Forbes
