The tenth season of Spooks, set to premiere this September on the BBC, will be the last one.
Jane Featherstone, a producer of the show, said : "I feel very sad about it. It was a very difficult decision to make, but we didn't want to get to the point where the BBC said, 'We don't really want another one'".
Production of Series 10 began in April and wrapped up in July. Spooks began on May 13th 2002 on BBC One and has produced 80 episodes over 9 seasons. The 10th and final season of the show is expected to have 8 episodes.
