I love Mozzie still and can see where he is coming from. I wish he made it out of the country with the treasure before Keller made his move. Of course, since he has such a great rapport with El, no way he leaves with the treasure now. I hope Keller stays for the next few years. I cannot imagine what Peter will do when he comes face to face with him. At the beginning of the season I knew the treasure had to be stolen and I said I wanted Keller to do it. However, I never expected it to be as exciting as this is going to get.
I had a feeling the Elizabeth kidnapping was going to happen. I just didn't know Keller was going to be behind it. I thought it was going to be some new villain but this is better. I'm glad Neal choose to stay. It means more that he choose to stay instead of being forced to stay. But now that he has choosen to stay with the life he has, he has to deal with the consequences of holding onto the treasure. I expect Neal is going to tell Peter the truth about the treasure now that Elizabeth's life is in danger. I also expect a major blowout between Peter and Neal with Peter blaming Neal for creating this mess that led to his wife getting kidnapped by holding onto the treasure and lying about it. I wonder how long the Elizabeth kidnapping plot is going to last? An episode or more?.
I'm torn about Neal telling Peter about the treasure. If he admits he has it, he has to go to jail. There is no other way Peter can stay Peter if he ignores that. Still, no way Neal lets anything get in the way of getting El back so he has to confess. It's a catch 22 and just as troublesome a question as what Neal would do about the treasure.
The writers do such a good job of building up Peter and Neal's friendship to tear it back down to what happened tonight. Peter obviously considers Neal an friend despite his past and in Peter and the FBI Neal finally has something that resembles a home and family. Of all the USA shows I find writing and chemistry between the cast on White Collar and Suits the most compelling - not so much on the others!!! Kudos USA - now if you could give Suits its well deserved S2 and more episodes, oh and while I'm at it if you could relocate the show back to New York that would be just swell!!!
I was worried Keller would kidnap Liz, and for a moment I thought he wouldn't when we cut away from her and Peter on the phone. Damn, the only thing that would've made the ending better is if Peter said through gritted teeth to Neal "Where is the treasure?"
Damn good finale, too bad about Mozzie's choice but hopefully he'll come to his senses. And while I may not want Keller to suffer like I do Joffrey on Game of Thrones (I really want that little snot to suffer) I do hope Peter gets some damn good vengeance on Keller.
I think Mozzie will have to stay in the picture and not just because he's the best character to me. No way Moz does anything to threaten Elizabeth's life. He'll turn that treasure over to Keller who will hopefully get framed for it, leaving Neal and Mozzie in the clear. Of course, this has to deteriorate Peter and Neal's relationship further because now Neal's choices have become very personal to Peter.
this can only be AWESOME! my heart was crazy while seeing this episode! OMG that was intense! and I guessed the end of the episode, but that look on Peter's face... OMG can't say anything else by now, I've just watched it and I'm shocked!
Love yesterday's show. It had to do with all the most loved characters on the show. Peter and Neal are really what makes this show so great. Moz and El and just great also. I have a feeling Moz with comes back for Elizabeth since she is a true victim in all this.
Peter knows that Neal/Moz already stole the art so I have no idea how he is going to forgive him now. I mean they took poor El. This is what a season finale should be. Elizabeth is the most loved female character on the show (and will always be). El is the most perfect human on the show. She has been kind to everone so the writers know that and played with peoples emotions. Peter, Neal and Moz are going to have to work together to help her I am sure of that.
I have no idea what else they are going to do with Keller at this point he is really great. I have a feeling that the Keller days may be over soon.
I am hoping Moz had time to take some of the tresure with him. Also want Neal to find his very own El. Neal needs to find someone like her. (no not sara)
I agree Mozzie with stay because El has been so kind to him. I wrote what I thought about it here also. Also Keller going to jail over the treasure would be great. Keller is one of the best bad guys they ever had. Hope they keep him around longer.
Why didn't I consider that? Of course Mozzie will not allow himself leaving with the treasure threaten Elizabeth's life. And I do hope you're right that he and Neal will figure a way to frame Keller for initially stealing it, but it'll be tricky to convince Peter of that at this point. Hopefully they'll figure out how to save her in the premiere when the show comes back.
I just decided that the Awesome button on this poll is not enough for this episode but there wasn't anything higher to click. In my imagination I just extended the poll with FREAKING PHANTASTIC and clicked that!
What a cliffhanger. As if I hadn't enough of that from Supernatural! Now White Collar does that to me too?
I hope - no, I firmly believe - Mozzie will return to help get Elisabeth back. But I fear for the consequences for Neal. If they give Keller the treasure, Peter will know that Neal had it and lied to him. Will he be greatful enough to forgive Neal, or will he cut Neal off for putting Elisabeth in danger in the first place?
I am also conflicted about Neal's decision to stay. I knew he'd never leave (would make continuing WC very hard). I love that he has grown so attached to Peter to want to stay, but I also see Mozzie's point. Neal is still a prisoner with that anklet, no matter how nice the pirson may be and Neal loves to do cons. It's in his blood. OK, he still can do cons with Peter, but I would like for WC in the future to get rid of that anklet and describe Peter & Neal relationship more like partners.
As for Keller...For the love of god, can someone shoot this guy? Peter, Mozzie...even Neal (would be a great twist)? He's harder to get rid of than Crowley (only him I'd like to keep). Taking Elisabeth - the best TV wife ever - pushed me to the point where prison isn't enough for this guy anymore. But I have to give him credit for being a clever villain at least. I don't like him, but at least he isn't the dumb type that holds endless monologues and reveals all his plans to his adversaries.
OK, I'm blabbing...just don't know what to do with this pent up energy. January is just to far away. Why this ridiculous long hiatus?
Very good cat-and-mouse between Neal and Peter. Neal made the right choice. Sadly, I saw Elizabeth's kidnapping from a mile away. The predictability of that cliffhanger was disappointing.
The ending was a total shock. I just can't figure out how Neal is now going to get away with not going to prison for the robbery. Can't wait until the show comes back. Poor Elizabeth.
I agree that Keller will get killed, and Neal and Mozzie will pin everything on Keller with Peter's okay. Peter will forgive them when they save Elizabeth and give the treasure back. Also, Peter will have some guilt also to suffer - he told Elizabeth in the previous episode that everything would be okay, that the US Marshals and FBI were searching for Keller, and she didn't have to worry. So Peter didn't protect Elizabeth like he should have.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Awesome! I'm so happy about Neal choosing to stay! And STFU, Mozzie. I actually hate him now and I don't want to.
ReplyDeleteCrap, Keller! JUST GO AWAY.
I can't believe we have to wait until January!
And oh my God! I knew the Elizabeth kidnapping was coming, but who was it? Mozzie? Keller? WHAT?
WOW wtf not Liz no no no!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome doesn't begin to cover it. I'm so glad I can talk about this episode.

Great episode with an ending I didn't expect... Kudos to the writers for a nice little twistage with Keller.

I don't know what to think about the treasure!! how are they going to solve this?? AHHHHHHHHHH winter needs to come right now!!
ReplyDeleteyes, I also think Mozzie stays because of Elizabeth! but OMG, I can't properly think right now...
ReplyDeleteI didn't expect Keller to appear too... :O

ReplyDeletedon't hate mozzie yet, cause he hasn't left with the treasure yet. Remember he has a friendship with elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteNeal never had the treasure. He, knew however, that mozzie had it. he just never volunteered it.
ReplyDeleteNice to know there's still hope. Even white collars crooks have a heart. :-)
