    The entire season they wisely used their VFX sparingly and then in the finale they went crazy with half-assed special FX that were anything but special.... sigh.

    That aside I enjoyed it.  They locked Scott into being a werewolf by killing the Alpha, set up a second season with the new alpha Derek, his beta Jackson, the seemingly not-so-wolf Lydia and the more than he seems friendly veterinarian. A nice mix of answering ongoing seasonal questions completely and some of those answers leading to more questions for the next season.

    If they just would have done everything possible to avoid the visual effects at the mansion.... I think it would have been great. As they did overplay their VFX hand... it was just ok for me.. maybe good, but not great.

    Lots of fun stuff and but darn it....my favorite borderline nut job didn't make it.  When I saw the headline about upsetting deaths I was worried one of the good guys was gonna be on the list.  But we only lost villains. I really liked Kate.  I love a woman who, when being hunted by an alpha werewolf, pulls out a weapon and turns to face it.  

    Must say I was really rooting for Jackson to get killed off but I knew that wasn't gonna happen.  :-)

    Is it just me or did Allison's mom seem a lot softer before the last couple of episodes.  Wow, she's hardcore.  I found myself wondering if that is the same actress.

    And really, the best the torture specialist can do is knuckles and a baseball bat?  Really?

    Stiles is one of my favorite characters of all the summer shows.  I knew Daddy Argent wasn't getting anything out of him.  Especially not against Scott.  I mean really...he faced down an alpha werewolf with no weapons only  hours before.  Angry Daddy Argent wasn't gonna intimidate him.  And not only was Stiles NOT intimidated, he schooled Daddy Argent.  Ba-zinga (sorry couldn't help that)

    Scott is simply not good when he's startled.  He couldn't even follow the simple instruction to close his eyes.  Sigh.  Not sure he'd have lasted 12 eps without Stiles.  :-)

    When we finally get to the demise of the alpha wolf all I cold thing was "Dang I wish they'd had a better budget for the special effects."   Peter's fire *looked* done on the cheap. 

    And we got nothing on the vet!  What?  You said *all* our questions would be answered.  I wanna know more about that guy.

    I've never been to massively critical of this show.  I describe it as bubble gum TV.   It has improved over the season which was more than I expected.   I have a list of great scenes in flawed episodes.  Which hasn't bothered me at all. I don't need Emmy caliber writing from this show every week.  It's fun and I got hooked pretty quickly (thanks primarily to Stiles.)  I even managed to deal with the werewolf make up.  I am looking forward to season two and that's really something thought I'd never again say about any program on MTV.

    Favorite lines: 

     "...or being a woman, twice a month"  (Peter responding to Stiles concerns about Lydia turning into a monster once a month.

    "His user name is Allison?  His password is also Allison?"

    "Don't say 'Too Easy'!  People say too easy and bad things happen!"

    No you are not alone in thinking her mom went from stepford wife to evil stepmother overnight.

    I loved "His username is Allison? His password is Allison?" "Do you still want him in your pack?"

    I am 57 years old.  I have been a sci fi, fantasy, and horror nut since birth.  lol  I really enjoyed this show.  So much better than the movies.  Awesome.  Glad to know it has been renewed.  Woooo hoooo

    i love stiles!! i was laughing soo hard in his scenes with peter!! when he was saying stuff about the username and passsword and then also the 2 times a month thing! they were hilarious

    I see a lot of ambition in the writing and the stories and the show has definitely been better than what anyone would have expected it to be, myself included. But I think that somehow they are not reaching their potential.
