I think this show may be running out of COTW ideas already. When this show is eventually renewed for a second season, I think it would be in the program's best interest to develop a rotation of recurring characters as patients whom Dani can continue to work with instead of having random patients every week. Dani also needs to stop having those "Greg House epiphanies" of hers.
not sure what you mean by COTW (character of the week maybe?), but i agree partially. The epiphanies are annoying and viewers already know that she's gonna have one, with her look and stuff, lol. I like the rotation of patients though. It's a constant (Hawks and TK) and never-know (weekly patient) and I think it leave a space for fun storyline. But what I've noticed is that the other patients storylines are not as carefully planned and thought through as they should be. That's shame. And I would really work on true, human dynamics (personally adore that between TK and Ray Jay), not just "divorcee mum/children" and "hot one night stand&his girlfriend/Dani"!
COTW - case of the week. I think a rotating stable of regular patients would more accurately represent the process of therapy instead of the House-like weekly puzzle which is a very inaccurate depiction of the psychiatry profession.
The problem with the TK / Ray Jay relationship is that it is completely inappropriate, as Dani pointed out a few episodes ago. If this was a real-life situation and not a TV show, TK would still be looking for a new therapist because that entire situation was a huge red flag.
Its awesome to know that im not the only one who was bothered by the House reference.... I dont mind the case of te week but i do agree they need to be flushed out a lil better. This weeks episode will probably play well into the normal direction of the show b/c its about superstitions not much for a therapist to work with. As a former athlete i had my rituals that i did during games and before them b/c i felt it helped me. I think ill be able to relate to this episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
