Michael Showers is dead

E! reported that Michael Showers' body was found floating in the Mississipi River.

A steamboat captain spotted him yesterday at around 11:15 am in waters near New Orleans' French Quarter. The chief investigator for the Orleans Parish coroner's office estimated that Showers' body had been in the water for 2 days. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.

Michael Showers, 45, was from Chalmette, a village in southeast Louisiana situated on the east bank of the Mississippi River.

A few months ago, he had a recurring role in the second season of Tremé as Captain John Guidry (4 episodes). He also guest starred in Breaking Bad and The Vampire Diaries and he recently had a small part in the Terrence Malick movie 'The Tree of Life'.

May he rest in peace.

    IMBD (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0795297/) says he appeared in 1x15 "A few good men" as 'the man'. Which is not really helpful.

    The guy who worked for Isobel, killed Isobel's childhood friend and told Elena to back off, I think. He was only in one episode.
