In Plain Sight will vanish after one more season.

USA Network has renewed the Mary McCormack-fronted drama for a fifth and final eight-episode season to air in the spring, a rep for the cabler confirms to TVLine.

“We’ve built a contract with the audience and want to give them a sense of closure,” USA Network co-president Jeff Wachtel told Variety, which first reported the news.

    Oh, this is nice. I'm losing Desperate Housewives, Chuck, Eureka, and now this next year! And I just started watching IPS and Eureka.

    This is true. I'm still bitter, though.

    I'm just going to blame Comcast for this cancellation, just like it's probably their fault for Eureka's cancellation.

    Especially after what they did to us with that storyline this season lol. I am sad we'll be losing the show but I can't wait to see what they do with a final season.

    Love the show, but I'm glad it's ending in one more year. 
    It's the type of series that gets stale fairly fast and episodes start to feel like they've already been done.My one hope is they don't throw Marshall and Mary together.

    My dad is going to be unhappy.  He likes this show a lot.  I'm a season behind but I do appreciate USA letting them know a year in advance so they can go out with a bang and on their own terms.

    I at least saw 2 more seasons. Geez -- what is it with USA thinking 8 episodes is a proper send off? First LOCI and now IPS? I loved this show. Only original programming I watch on USA is Burn Notice, Psych, and it was IPS. 

    This blows, bottom line.

    Not happy about this at all.  All the good shows are going down the tubes.  Why?? Take the reality shows off.  I mean really!  Can't understand why people watch so many reality shows.  We live reality everyday.  Don't want to see it on TV too.  Ugh!

    keep hopping about Mary and Marshall but i'm affraid we will have nothing about them next season... only 8 episodes to break up the relation shio Marshall/Abbigail and i'm affraid of... Mary/ex husband .... it's really short.

    I'm sad the next season will be the same, it's just the USA's choice not really the actor, just hope we will have a good end not like in Law and Order CI

    I agree, but unfortunately reality shows are cheaper and easier to make and pull in a much larger audience which equals more money...and its all about the money, not the loyal fans of the shows that actually make you think and give you a relief from the stupidity of "reality."

    WHY ARE YOU ENDING THIS SHOW, IT IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV.  I HAVE EVERY SHOW TAPED.  EVERY SHOW WITH ALL COMMERCIALS.  IF YOU  CANCEL MY FAVORITE SHOW, I WILL CONTACT EVERY SPONSER AND I WILL BOYCOTT EVERY ONE OF THEM.  ALSO I WILL GET ALL MY FRIENDS , RELATIVES AND ASSOSCIATES TO DO THE SAME.  I WILL NOT BUY ANY OF THOSE PRODUCTS AND NEITHER WILL ANY OF MY FRIENDS , RELATIVES , AND ASSOCIATES.  I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE AND IT WORKS, I HAVE ALOT OF INFLUENCE   AND I WILL USE IT.  PUT THE SHOW BACK ON FOR 5 MORE YEARS AND I WILL NOT DO IT, BUT I WILL TRY TO HURT EVERY SPONSER YOU HAVE UNLESS YOU PUT MY SHOW BACK ON THE AIR FOR 5 MORE YEARS.  IT IS A DECENT SHOW AND YOU WANT DECUSTING SHOWS ON .  I PROMISE I WILL DO THIS.  DELORES JOHNSON

    Interested to see what they will do with the final season. And it's like what, 8 episodes? That's a lot of stuff to cram in those 8 episodes.  I just hope that Mary and Marshall end up happy, whether they are together or not (I'm really pulling for them to be together, have been since season 1).  But they both deserve it!

    Definitely going to miss this show.

    oh my God no!!!!! Every series with  man/woman partnerships in law enforcement always end up like that, and that sucks!!! would be nice with something different for a change........
