Thanks to Sarah9_xo for the heads up.
We've included 2 polls. Who do you THINK it will be and Who do you WANT it to be. Sound off in the Comments.
It’ll be someone we’ve met before on the show!
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that producers are filling the Dean of Medicine post vacated by Lisa Edelstein’s Cuddy with a face familiar to fans of the Fox hit as opposed to bringing in a new cast member.
But who? I’ve been sworn to secrecy… except for the fact that I can reveal that Hugh Laurie’s new on-screen boss is one of the seven folks listed below.
Dr. Jeffrey Cole (Edi Gathegi)
Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard)
Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps)
Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer)
Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson)
Dr. Sam Carr (Cynthia Watros)
Edward Vogler (Chi McBride)

I think it'll be Wilson. I want it to be Sam Carr.
ReplyDeleteWilson and Wilson!
ReplyDeletethe only reasonable choices are Wilson, Sam and Foreman. The rest is too improbable
ReplyDeleteBut I really wish it was Cameron. miss her ):
ReplyDeleteThe logic is that they don't hire a new actor (actress) to save money. Dr Cole would have been a pleasant surprise.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be a member of the team, then Robert Chase because Eric Foreman has already been Greg's boss and that it wasn't really interesting.
It won't be very risky for the writers to promote James Wilson as a boss, and the relationship House/Wilson will be completely different and interesting. The problem is that I can't imagine James Wilson working in an office, dealing with all the administrative work like Lisa Cuddy did the last 7 seasons.
Poll 1 : Robert Chase
Poll 2 : James Wilson
I think Foreman and I want it to be Foreman.
ReplyDeleteAny one of them becoming Dean of Medicine could be interesting especially Sam Carr or Wilson. I'd love if it was Vogler though that would be so cool, not that I'll even be watching season 8.
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching after McBride left. It'd be interesting to see him come back.
ReplyDeleteI think and want it to be Wilson.
ReplyDeleteMy reasoning behind it was what would create the most tension among the group?
I completely agree with all your reasoning. Foreman being the boss would just be redundant. After Wilson saw what House did with the car, I think if Wilson became his boss, it would be a very weird dynamic that might last for the whole season.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be Sam
ReplyDeleteI (oh so desperetally) want it to be Chase!
Really? That was one of the worst, most predictable storylines House ever had.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the minority here but I definitely do NOT want it to be Wilson. Wilson caters too much to House's every need to work out as House's boss; it's not their dynamic. House needs someone to tell him "No" and place boundaries like Cuddy did (and like Wilson himself mentioned time and again that Cuddy did) and that's not Wilson. I think it would change their relationship, which is something I really enjoy a lot in the show, to something COMPLETELY different. I already won't have the great dynamic that House/Cuddy brought to the show, so I definitely don't want the Wilson/House dynamic to change.
ReplyDeleteI really could see Dr. Jeffrey Cole fast tracking as one of those geniuses and come and be House's boss, but I don't know if the writers would go down that road. I'm afraid I think it will be Vogler.
Didn't Sam work with something having to do with imaging and x-rays? I don't think it would be interesting to have any of the team members as his boss; it's kind of been there done that IMO.
I want it to be Foreman but it'll probs be Wilson
ReplyDeleteI think it'll be Forman. I want it to be Wilson :)
ReplyDeleteI've changed my mind. Sorry. I think it could be a good choice to get :
ReplyDeleteSam Carr
1. She's the only woman.
2. Both Greg and James have unsolved problems with her. So we can imagine they will join to fight against her, or James will fight with her (to get her back) against Greg (because of what he did).
That seems to me the most interesting storyline.
i don't see any reasons at all why Chase would be the new Dean of medicine, but it would so funny if he were House's new boss. but I don't think it will be anyone from the team, nor do I think it will be Wilson, although who knows.
ReplyDeleteI love Chi McBride!
ReplyDeleteI love Chi McBride too, but I wasn't crazy about the Vogler arc at all. Besides, wouldn't the Dean of Medicine need to be a doctor? Vogler is just some rich businessman that bought his way onto the hospital board. He has no medical knowledge that I can recall.
ReplyDeleteI agree with smkemper about Sam Carr and also don't see House reporting to any of his team as his boss. I'd rather Wilson remain boy wonder oncologist and treat patients.
I think it'll be Wilson, I wish it was Taub. Utterly unlikely I know, but how funny would that be.
ReplyDeleteWilson!
ReplyDeleteI wish Taub would go away and take his 2 baby moma's with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSAM & SAM are my picks.
Of course it's gonna be Wilson. It's by far the most obvious and righteous choice.
ReplyDeletewilson
ReplyDeleteIt's Foreman.
