I'm glad they seem to be focusing a bit more on the mythology of Haven in this episode. Lucy, the past, and the cause of the troubles are far more interesting to me than the formulaic "trouble-findtheperson-Audreyfixes(almost)everything" formula. Some great episodes have come from the formulaic episodes (see: Harmony, Consumed,The Trial Of Audrey Parker, Roots, Audrey Parker's Day Off), but the best plots are the mythology centered ones, though some are indeed hampered by clunky "troubles" stories (for best mythology see: As You Were, The Hand You're Dealt, Spiral, A Tale of Two Audreys, Sparks and Recreation, almost any Duke or Colorado Kid storyline).
In any series the really awesome eps are the ones focusing on long-term arcs (plus the super out-there ones!), and in that sense I will be glued to my seat for this; but I'm not into the really dark bits so I'll also be glued to my biggest teddy-bear.

I'd appreciate the mythology a bit more if the show would start answering some of the questions it has raised. It has been a season and a half and it's all questions and no answers.
I just had a horrible thought about where they may be going with this..........The Photo is what worries me. It was a photo of Lucy and Nathan's Dad. I have to say I ship Nathan and Audrey. I hope it doesn't turn out that Lucy is Nathan's Mother!!! I mean if she was, it would explain why Nathan can feel Audrey's touch cause its a mothers touch. I am REALLY WORRIED NOW!!!!!!!
I agree that they need to answer the questions. The only one they've answered (why Duke is in Haven) only brought up more. It's a bit frustrating sitting through episodes that don't deal with the long-term stories at all, though. I'd honestly rather have more mystery with the mythology and few answers than have them ignore it altogether.
As a Nathan/Audrey shipper, I'm nervous about that photo of Lucy and his dad, there's many possibilities of course; they were just friends, or they were at their own wedding. I really don't want the show to go the route of "Lucy is Nathan's mother". It could explain why she's the only one he feels when touched, but it wouldn't really explain much else (like why his dad fell in love with her, why she has the ability to "calm" the troubled down etc.
Yes, I don't want the show to go into that direction either. Especially considering that Nathan obviously has feelings for her. :S You are right that it wouldn't explain much, but I have a feeling nothing is explained in this show. Frankly, a lot of pieces from a big puzzle are revealed little by little, but none of them answer anything, they just pose questions. I don't mind a little mystery and being kept in a dark for a while, as long as an explanation is provided at some point. I just hope it comes before the season finale. ;)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The end was pretty creepy!
