The Good Wife - Casting News: Harvey Fierstein

Aug 17, 2011

The Good Wife‘s streak of having prominent actors play guest judges on the show continues. This time, the CBS drama has tapped Harvey Fierstein for an appearance.

The gravel-voiced actor best known for Torch Song Trilogy, Fierstein is playing a liberal, ex-hippie type who marches to a different drummer. He’ll preside over a case Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is working on with a sharp eye, but rather laid-back speech.

  1. Saw this on EW yesterday. It's good casting. I just hope they don't rely too much on the wacky judges. That could get tired if they do it every week...

  2. Agreed. I actually like that they occasionally use the same judges in different cases, not so much because I want them to become recurring characters, but because I don't want the judges to distract from the individual cases and the underlying storylines for the Florricks and Lockhart-Gardner.
