Hear that heartwrenching scream? That's the sound of my heart breaking into a million pieces. I feel so bad for Amy and Rory for losing their child even if she will turn out to be a kickass smart wonderful lady and also for the Doctor who wants to desperately help but probably realises he can't change what has already happened.
Wow, and I thought I couldn't be anymore excited for this episode. What a great clip. Matt Smith at the end was perfect and I'm not even a big fan of his acting. For the first time it looks like he is really feeling the weight of all those years and the possibility that he might not be able to get Melody back.
While I definitely loved David Tennant, I think Matt Smith is doing an excellent job of taking the doctor very dark places. For such a young man, he gives the 900+ year old doctor a lot of gravitas.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDeleteThis just makes me more excited! I can't wait anymore, I just need Doctor Who back right now. But wow, stop breaking my heart all the time.
ReplyDeleteCompletely Matt Smith really does the emotional scenes well and with a subtly that Tennant sometime lacked in his later episodes.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely the most substantive prequel they've released. The rest were just "meh."
ReplyDeletethis clip is beyond amazing! damn how I miss the Doctor ç__ç
