Castle - Season 4 - Casting News - Kristin Lehman cast as Love Interest

TVLine has learned that Kristin Lehman — a.k.a. Billy Campbell’s right-hand woman on AMC’s The Killing — has been cast as a potentially recurring love interest for Nathan Fillion’s titular sleuth.

    I'm not sure what to think of this casting.  Lehman usually plays some really icy characters so being a love interest who "takes an immediate liking to Castle" seems iffy to me.  The only show she seemed likable in this way was her guest spot on season 1 of Human Target.

    Oh ! :O good news for me because I love Kristin Lehman (Drive <3) and I hope she is a "Mante Religieuse" I don't know the term in English, but it's a woman cruel and dangerous who targets men as victim :D .

    ... I was affraid they would do it, and they did it! Such a bad idea, a cliché. A love interest just after Castke say I love you to Beckett? Greaaaaaaaaaaat :(

    It's amazing how many people speak so fondly of a television show (Drive) that was pulled after four episodes and only produced six.

    It must be a FOX thing.  It's a similar situation with Wonderfalls and Firefly.

    That's bull.  Hart Hanson earned his shaky reputation by how much he has jerked around Bones fans.  Marlowe has not earned that stigma at all.  He's made no major missteps so far on Castle.  I think fans owe the guy the benefit of the doubt.

    Well from what I remember, Stana is all set for a relationship to happen, and Nathan isn't against the idea either. Stana believes they can still make their dynamic interesting even as a couple, and I agree.

    However, I think they're trying to even things out a bit. So far, Castle's longest lasting relationship on the show was with a woman we didn't see more than a couple of times. Beckett has been in two relationships, the latest of which has seen multiple appearances on the show, however brief.

    Beckett was with motorcycle guy for an entire season, and that served a purpose. It helped Castle realize who he really wanted. Now, this new interest for Castle can make Kate realize who she really wants.

    They're drawing it out of course, but I also think it will serve to bring them closer together in the end.

    I think you've hit the nail, Aydrian.

    It does say that she's interested in him, not necessarily the other-way-round - maybe he just needs someone to talk to apart from the guys at work or his family at home. If there's one thing lacking in Castle's life its mates, which we had with the poker guys, but not for ages. Maybe they meet at his bar, and just chat? I can imagine some good side-plots for this, if its not pushed too hard.

    Guess that means Beckett and Castle don't get together in season 3.  (I'm currently in the middle of season 2.)  It seemed like they were heading that way, but either works for me.  My favorite character is Alexis anyway.

    Did he say the three words to Beckett ? hmm, it seems we should forget that... Because Beckett won't remember anything. at all. Or if she remembers that, well... Castle will give her a reason to hate him with this "love interest".

    I saw the show some months ago, and I couldn't believe it was cancelled after 4 episodes! 4 episodes??!! at least cancel it after 10 or 12, but 4?? it was insane, how can you expect to get audience after only 4 episodes? FOX must have strange people inside... :/

    This is FOX we're talking about.  They canceled Lonestar after just one episode.  This network has never been shy about pulling the plug.
