can't believe i'm actually saying this but i want the summer vacation to be over already so that it can be september and we can have new Vampire Diaries episodes!!! dying for new epis here
I don;t always find the acting great, but TVD does have a great formula to make entertaining TV! It will be nice to have it back on my weekly watch schedule!
I know. I'm so shallow. I'm gonna go hide in a corner...until September 15 anyway. You know, just in case she doesn't learn in time for the season premiere.
No. The video's running fine for me everytime I've viewed it. (And I really can't believe I'm admitting to having watched it more than once - but hey I'm shallow.)
Does renewing the screen not work at all, and is it only that one video you're having trouble with? Or all of them? I'm using Safari to view it/this page in general.
I really love the way they put this trailer together. It did make me laugh thought that they had to use a lot footage from season 1 for the rippah-stefan-preview. And I love that they put the Damon-Elena-dancing scene from the 1st season in the trailer. It's still one of the most importants moments for the two of them. If not THE most important moment. At least in my opinion.
And the end. Well, do I really need to say anything about the end? Of course we'll get to see a shirtless guy in the first episode already. Wouldn't be TVD otherwise, right? (If this sounds negative, it's not. I'm highly amused by jules&kev tweeting about wanting to put a shirtless scene on the show again or regretting they couldn't ... and I don't mind those scenes.)
Also, Damon: Elena doesn't have to knock. It's her house now, remember?
Oooooh, good one! That's right. He's the one who should knock now. Not that male vampiric indecency is all horrifying to me. Really, I'm a big girl. I can take it.
And you said just what I was thinking about the dance scene. It was so poignant for the relationship, especially in light of the fact that Katherine danced the near-touch dance with Stefan.
Yay, someone who shares my opinion on the dance-scene. I don't think it's got anything to do with Katherine, though. It's just that ... well, yes, Elena started to think differently about Damon long before that dance already, but you could literally see something click inside both of their heads. It was a completely different situation, one they never thought would ever happen. The whole atmosphere of that scene is almost magic and there are so many emotions. At first, Elena is worried about Stefan anf also mad, then she's relieved that Damon takes his place so she doesn't get embarrassed in front of the town's people, but she's also surprised at Damon's act. Also, she's really enjoying the moment, despite everything that's going on, and yet she can't hide that she's confused and unsure about the whole situation. But something clicked. Something changed in that moment. I don't care whether it really did or whether that's my interpretation, but I'm gonna stick with it *g* (All I've said applies to Damon as well, obviously)
And the choreography (plus the music) just underlined all of that so amazingly well.
Oh, and I don't really mind the "male vampiric indecency" either ... but hei, he's really not the one who should be giving the lectures about being careful in the house XD
I didn't really think about the whole Katherine danced that dance with Stefan until later. I just think it's nicely ironic that considering the underlying message of that dance, Damon wanted to dance it originally with Katherine and ended up dancing it with Elena, while Stefan is off doing a blood-bender.
I agree with you that that dance seemed like a game changer for Elena and Damon. At least to my mind as a viewer. It felt like the first time that there was a real chance Elena might one day have feelings for Damon. Also, in contrast to how Stefan had been all goofy during dance rehearsal, Damon danced the dance the way it was meant to be danced. Totally romantic and the music was really well chosen. I went and downloaded the song the second the episode was finished.
elena forget she loan salvatore house for protection girl please knock damons door before came in look was happend in the end of the clip yeeees baby come taste this is all i can read in damon face.very funny.
Well, about the song: I knew that band before and always liked it, but could never listen to it for too long. That song made me change my mind and check out their new stuff and it's absolutely amazing. Mainly because the singer finally learned to sing in her natural key *shrugs*
And I like what you said about the "irony" of the dance. I've never actually thought about that - as I said, 'cause it was always a scene about Damon/Elena to me - but that's actually quite interesting. Still, Damon only seems to get closer to Elena when Stefan's off being the bad boy ... he did it to save his brother this time, but still. It's kind of sad.
Well, Elena has been aware of the brothers' history with Katherine since before she knew about the Vampire stuff and doppelganger hijinks. She's never really had the option of getting closer to Damon, while Stefan was in the room. And obviously I don't mean sexually, but even just as friends. Stefan has gone out of his way to keep her away from Damon. Then for a little while he was okay with Elena being friends with Damon because it brought out Damon's humanity according to Stefan, but then it brought out a little too much humanity and suddenly history was NOT going to repeat itself. I'm not really sure Damon and Stefan's history with each other will allow for anything else. I don't see us getting a quiet all-embracing triangle.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI like wompires! Ha!

ReplyDeleteNo. The video's running fine for me everytime I've viewed it. (And I really can't believe I'm admitting to having watched it more than once - but hey I'm shallow.)

I knew Damon will take the chance and make his move on Elena.

ReplyDeleteDeep sigh, raised eyebrow AND she'll say his name in a (slightly) stroppy voice. Then he'll do the eye-thing, and she'll try to hide her smile.
