I've just written it off as another gimmicky cop show. I'm just growing so tired of procedural cop shows, especially shows like these where the character is different but the formula is usually the same.
The last cop show I was really enthusiastic about (besides the excellent Chicago Code) was Life On Mars and that didn't last. Those shows did something different with the genre. They didn't just slap a quirky character on top of a paint-by-numbers procedural formula.
yeah, there are a lot of things to consider when it comes to a concept like this and the writers don't have the ability to remember everything, so, that can cause problems... If it was a movie, then, it would be great... But for a series, it's gonna be hard...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It's almost an interesting concept to me, but I bet it will get old fast. Plus it has massive continuity issues just waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteits the of concept of mentalist ... but maybe a bit darker and a female lead ... i guess we are still solving murders
ReplyDeleteanyone else wondering how they know exactly how many people with this ability there are?

ReplyDeleteBoth actually. They were both quite good and I didn't a wide discrepancy in quality between the two.

ReplyDeleteI gave it a shot but wasn't a fan (as mentioned above). :)
ReplyDeletesorry...overlooked that =)
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm wondering if every time I see this I think, "Oh yeah. Without a Trace was cancelled." I'm more likely to watch those reruns than this.
