Thanks to Leilana and Debbie we got the info from Jared’s Meet and Greet at New Jersey Convention that Supernatural Season 7 will have 23 episodes instead of the usual 22.
The extra episode will be a Season Finale Partner.

Who is the new CW boss?I think we're gonna get along just fine..23 episodes!
ReplyDeleteNot that I'm complaining, but what do they mean by "Season Finale Partner"?
Is it a good or a bad thing?? :/
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooo excited for season 7! :)
ReplyDeleteIt just means that the season finale will be 2 hours instead of 1. It does NOT mean that it is the series finale.
ReplyDeleteGood thing. There have been hints that the new head of the CW is pro-Supernatural and this helps to solidify the rumors. Rumor has it that he approached Jensen and Jared about doing a season 8 and he's extended the episodes. I'd say so far so good.
ReplyDeleteActually,it didn't even cross my mind that it might be the series finale..
ReplyDeleteTwo hour finale sounds awesome! Thanks for the help!
So so happy to hear that there is a higher appreciation ( hopefully the news snippets from the CW have been interpretated in the right, positive way! ) for Supernatural from the powers that be.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I did have a bad feeling when I saw that there might be a two-part series final as It could be seen to be the end of the series.
I fervently hope that is not so.
Are Jensen and Jared happy about doing more seasons, I wonder, although the show is kind of like their baby so I would think they were.
I note that it can be difficult for actors to find another acting job after being the leads in a long going series!
regards
interesting :)
ReplyDelete23 episodes!! thats so exciting!!
ReplyDeletei'm so glad we're getting more episodes
Jared said in an interview a while back that he will stay with as long as it goes. He's loyal and he loves it. Jensen has pretty much said the same thing. They love the show and the fans. It's also a steady job in trying times. They know what the industry is like. They've got a hit show.
ReplyDeleteOh hey, somewhere there's not panic about one extra episode meaning it's the final season.
ReplyDeleteLots of shows don't do the standard 22 eps. Some even vary season to season. I'm excited. I'm hoping this means the CW may show Supernatural a bit of love, as it so richly deserves. With Comic Con around the corner, I'm sure more will soon be revealed!
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds really good, good for them that they have an on-going terrific show and secure occupation and good for us fans, in that my favourite show, in absolute, will continue for as long as possible! What more can one ask!
ReplyDeleteregards
I thought Jensen was directing episode 703?
ReplyDeleteThanks for clearing that up, because I was wondering about it as well.
ReplyDeleteA two-hour finale without being robbed of a supernatural-friday is really good news!
woohoooo. 23 epis :D
ReplyDeletebut isnt epi 3 directed by Jensen?
He is. 7.03 is the filming order, not the airing order.
ReplyDeleteYes, the airing order that Jensen's episode will air is the 3rd episode. But when we go by the scripts, it's the order in which they are filmed, not aired that is written at the top of the script.
ReplyDelete0.o is it me or I saw in less than 1 month CW promoting Spn and giving us a 23th episode?...
ReplyDeleteThat's it I think I'm dead and didn't knew it 0.o Or I'm hallucinating since weeks
Hard to believe isn't it. The CW seems to be backing Supernatural. Let's see what we get in terms of the CW fall promo vid. If there are more than 3 seconds of Supernatural, this may just be a golden year. We might even get promos that don't show on Fridays.
ReplyDelete:P I'm starting to think about working on saying Thanks and CW in the same sentence, it's not an easy task.....I should start taking lesson for that, wanna be my teacher?
ReplyDeleteYou think that's the first sceal of the Appocalypse having the CW supporting us? 0.o uh oh! Lulu is coming back soon!!!!!! 0.o
ReplyDeleteHa! (shakes head) Haven't they already announced that this is One Tree Hill's finale season? I don't think they would promote two as such. Plus, the new head wouldn't be asking about another season if it were the end. Until the CW is more steady on its feet, Supernatural will continue. It's likely to be the third most watched show on the network. Supernatural fans are prone to panic because the CW has screwed them over in the past (like January), but I am seeing positive things with this new head. Here's to a phenomenal season 7 and beyond. Personally, I'm hoping for 10 seasons like Smallville.
ReplyDelete23rd episode = 2 hour series finale?
ReplyDeleteam I the only one who thinks its a huge possibility?
It doesn't say series finale, but season finale.
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to have the sheriff back. I like Kim Rhodes' character.
ReplyDeleteMark Pedowitz is the New CW Boss
ReplyDeleteand i am glad we are getting 23 instead of 22 episodes
ReplyDelete[gasps, does imitation of LJ-gif screaming and jumping up and down]
ReplyDeleteIt's about damned *time* we got a 23-episode season!
I know right :D I love him already :D
ReplyDeleteMARK I love you :DD Kisses and hugs from the fans ahaah. :D Ms and Js are always good to our show :P
ReplyDelete10 is a good number :D
ReplyDeleteD'you know if thats like that in every show or just Spn? interesting didnt know :O
ReplyDelete23ep= 22 ep but season finale 2hour so 23ep.
ReplyDeleteHa! That might be the first seal. The last seal is Supernatural winning the Emmy for Best TV Drama. I think we are safe for now.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural is currently their #2 scripted show. They will not be in any hurry to get rid of it. I think you are jumping the gun here when nothing leans towards cancellation and everything leans away from it.
ReplyDeleteRemember the first think the new director did when he entered at the CW was to ask J&J if they were willing to sign for a 8th season, if the ratings allow them too. So no need to panic 'til we see the ratings :)
ReplyDeleteI'm A!Loving the new CW boss... where was he 5 years ago when we, the fans, were left doing all the work?
ReplyDeleteBut why do I think it sounds like the finale season? :/
ReplyDeleteWhy is nobody commenting on the names on the image of that script? Ben Edlund writing and Guy Bee Directing! Excuse me while I pinch myself to check I'm not dreaming. Both of them together working on the same episode, I can't help but think it could be one of the absolute best episodes to date. I'm guessing this will be episode #2 to air? Since Jensen's episode 7.03 was filmed first #701, then the script for 7.01 should be #702 and 7.02 should be #703
ReplyDeleteI doubt it will be the finale season because it is already the finale season of One Tree Hill and they ended Smallville last year, so I believe the CW cant afford to cancel three major shows in two years unless the ratings drop majorly I am 85% sure we will have a season 8.
