    I hope that there will be some kind of closure on Castiel's arc in these two episodes so as to give us more Winchester adventure time.

    It would be nice to get a closure on poor Adam too, although he has probably been treated better than poor Sam in th cage as he was willing to go along with the whole Michael-Lucifer thing

    I didn't mean ending him completely but just tucking him away somewhere to sweat off his godship and keep him out of the way for a substantial time!

    After all poor Sam suffered so much for his actions even although they weren't all his fault.

    i hope cas isn't dying in the first two episodes.. i hope the normal cas came back.. i hope sooooooo much..... please. case have to come back

    maybe they say, that misha plays castiel in the two first episodes and than a while not.. maybe we didn't see cas for a longer time. i think so..
    let's see what's coming... i'm really excited to see castiel as new god, because i really interestet what's going on with castiel... i don't understand why castiel have to do that.. i hope the first episodes says why he do that...

    I think even if we don't see a ton of Cas in this season I doubt they'll be killing him in the first 2 episodes. He is God now after all so how do you kill God? And the description for season 7 makes me think that Cas/God is the Big bad now and it will take a season to defeat him and find him redemption. But just like other big bads before since Sam and Dean will be running from Cas we therefore won't see him in a lot of episodes.

    I strongly believe that he'll appear in more episodes..Worst case scenario,he shows up only 5-6 times,like Lucifer.
    I think we all agree that with the new twist,it wouldn't make sense for him to appear every other episode.The Winchester(and probably half the world) would be fried by the mid season finale.
    Let's wait and see what happens in the first two episodes..

    Personally,as much as I adore the old Cas,I'm looking forward to see how things go from now on..It was a cool twist!But I still want the old one back at some point(my guess is the season finale..)!

    it doesn't say he won't be in more. Just look at last season, he was only in 2 of the first 6 episodes, in 4 for the first half of the season.

    Maybe he'll be in more, we don,t know yet

    We know fro sure he is in the first two and not in the third.  However, we don't know anything beyond that.  My guess is that Cas will end up with almost as much screen time as he had last year.  It will just be spread out more.  My take is that Cas is the big bad for the season so he'll come in more towards the midseason finale and the end of season 7.  Of course, this is Supernatural so who knows what mindtwist they are planning for us.

    I don't know how many episodes Cas will be in but hope it's more than just the initial two.  Seems silly to me to end a season with a huge bombshell like that and then wipe it out the first couple of episodes into the next season.  Maybe Cas will end up being the big bad.  It could be fun.  As far as his demise is concerned, at the end of season 5 Death told Dean that he would eventually reap God.  Foreshadowing anyone?

    I'm super-excited (as opposed to just regular-excited I guess :P ) for S7. I think would-be god Cas has the makings of a truly awesome possible big bad, and I can't wait to see how Sam & Dean take him down - whether he's destroyed or redeemed. 
    Once again we are given just a little information and we manage to create so many possible scenarios. This is part of what makes hellatus so hellishly fun (i.e. bearable) for all us Supernatural masochists.

    No new news here.  This might be the first season in which I root against the Winchesters.  With a Dean/Cas-as-God matchup, get ready for the battle of the super-sized egos.

    The relationship between Dean and Cas had been building toward a battle of egos throughout season 6.  Dean may have not demanded that Cas bow to him, but he's been treating him like an employee and calling him a child all season.  When Cas stops following his orders, Dean's pride wouldn't even let him listen to Cas's point of view.  I don't think it was a lack of self-esteem that made Dean think he had the right to erase Lisa and Ben's memories.  He was playing God. Not that I cared much about Lisa and Ben, but Dean overstepped by messing with another person's memories without their consent, and I was thinking this before I saw Sam blast Dean for it.  I also didn't see a lack of self-esteem when Dean assumed he could deal with Cas's Raphael problem if Cas backed down.  Why would Dean assume he's suddenly powerful enough to take down an archangel?

    The last few of episodes seemed more like an escalating battle of egos during a couple's breakup than anything else.  I'm expecting to see more of the same next season for as long as this battle continues.  We'll see whether Dean's low self-esteem or pride is stronger next season when he decides whether to bow to Cas.

    Well, that's something at least.  He had a whole lot more guest appearances than that in Season four.  None of us thought we'd much of him at all at first.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.  I like Cas.

    From hints I heard from Misha and others, I think Cas will find redemption.  I don't know how, but I don't think he's going to be the big bad. I don't believe so.  I hope not.

    Are you kidding.  Misha couldn't even keep it quiet that he was going to be a daddy! lol  Jared tells everything!  He faxed the first page of the script  saying Jensen was directing the 1st  episode being filmed to a fan on Twitter. lol

    Amen to that, Dahne.  Dean definitely has a self-esteem problem.  He pretends to have pride as women go, but his self-esteem is very low.

    I don't think it is an ego or self-esteem problem.  I think it is a brother issue.  Dean is acting towards Cas as he has towards Sam at times.  He's to let go of Sam and now he's losing Cas too.  His world is falling part and he's losing it.  Everything is breaking apart around him.  It's shattering in ways he's never had before.  No matter how bad it has been, there has always been something to stabilize him somewhere.  Sam, his father, Bobby, Pastor Jim, Castiel, Ellen, Jo, Lisa.....someone.  This time....it's as if he's lost it all.  Who can he trust?  No     one.  He's fighting back with the only he has left  what little bit of pride and gruffness he has left in him.  He'll hide it behind bravado and being smartmouthed and say whatever comes to mind.  That's Dean.

    I think there's often a connection between the appearance of having a big ego and having low self-esteem.  I'd also agree that there's a pattern between the way Dean related to Sam (by not treating him as an equal until near the end of season 5) and the way he relates to Cas.

    It would be foolish for anyone involved on the show to confirm/deny (so soon) anything about the future of the character beyond what's known so far - MC will be in eps 7.01/7.02 but not 7.03.It takes all the mystery away and the SPN PTB's likely will want to capitalize on the mystery as long as possible. An example that immediately comes to mind in the S4 premiere - AFAIK "How Dean got out of Hell" was kept closely underwraps until the S4 premiere ... I read that even Misha thought his character was a demon when he initiallyauditioned for the role.

    Maybe something more will come out of ComicCon concerning Castiel/Godstiel but I really don't expect much and if some spoilers do come out I predict they will be about 7.01 and 7.02.(But I have been flamingly wrong before ;) ).

    Yeah, but most of what any of them leak is fairly harmless - just enough to get people speculating. And they wouldn't dare leak anything that TPTB didn't want them to - there'd be some pretty substantial clauses in their contracts about that.
    Misha's news about being a daddy is personal so he had every right to spill the beans on that one :) 
    My point was that confirmation of 2 episodes doesn't rule out Misha's involvement in any number of later episodes in the season. 

    Also there's a few people out there panicking about a rumor that the addition of an extra episode means the end for Supernatural. Which is bizarre, but again makes my point for me: give some people a little info and they'll create a whole fantasy around it.

    I think Cas is gonna be in more than just two episodes. I just can't wrap my head around the question of how the brothers defeat god in only two episodes (no outside help assumed). I don't believe Cas suddenly gets prudent and let go of the souls, so he might be the big baddy next season. Then again last season I though Crowley is the adversary until we learned about the mother of all who turned out to be no adversary at all but pointed towards Crowley again who in the end was beaten by Cas.
    Supernatural makes my head spin sometimes - most of the times. 
    Season 7 resolution: I don't asume anything untill I have proof. If fact is prooven, I'll doubt it, because this is Supernatural!!!

    Also I agree, the fact that we get one more episode isn't proof of the series ending. CW announced the final season of Smallville before it started. Why not do the same with SPN, if they really wanted to end it? And if CW wanted to end it why put money in an extra episode? Makes no sense to me. The only thing I believe would end Supernatural this year are the ratings.

    I know that the fact that he for sure is in the first two episodes, doesn't mean that he won't be in more, but things just doesn't look good. With what Sera Gamble has said so fare and this statement from Misha.
    I'm of course hoping that he will be in at least the whole season, but the bad feeling just doesn't wanna go away.

    The only thing that kept my interest in season 6 was Castiel...I really don't think I can continue watching without him. I loved the show before he was on it, but 3 seasons of the same thing was getting boring, until Castiel came and gave the show a new lease of life. I think it's insane that not only are they not giving him more screen time but they're taking him away. Insanity.

    I like Cas, I really do, but that season finale took my breath away in the way he treated the boys! I just hope that if Cas is indeed back for the first 2 episodes of the new season, he does not pester Sam and Dean too much because that is something they definitely do not need.
    Either waym though, I cannot wait until the new season begins! A new job (and a few other possibilities) has finally come after a very long 5 months and I am hoping that life will be getting back to normal very soon.

    I think the first two eps with Cas will set the tone for the rest of the season (big bad and all that). All I ask is for some heartbreaking Destiel moments (friendship or otherwise) that will no doubt make me sob like a baby and then some good family time episodes with Sam, Dean and Bobby in the rest of the season :)

    So, three seasons of Sam and Dean were boring, but three seasons of Castiel are not? I don't understand that. I have yet to get bored from any of the arcs that the show has come up with. I don't enjoy all of them, but bored? Nope. I will never be bored with Sam & Dean. But, Castiel is like Dad, the Road House, and Chuck... and heck, even Henricksen. The show can't make it too easy on the boys. John was just too good, the Road House was just too convenient. Chuck had too many insights (and also could have been God), and even Henricksen, was a potential ally with tons of resources. Anything that makes the boys life easier will be short lived, or not seen very often.

    By making Castiel a "bad guy" the show has extended his usefulness. The guys just can't have an angel "on call" to solve there tough problems. However, an angel / demi-god can be one of their tough problems. Maybe even for two years... I say two years because we seldom have a bad guy last more than two years. Meg is the only one I can think of off the top of my head and she is hardly in the show...

    I remember at Comic Con last year Mischa joking about his involvement in the season, something  like, Yeah, what about a role for Castiel.  Then, Castiel turns out to be the one making all the shots.  He was the one who get's Sam out of Hell.   He is the one who has Balthazar unsink the TItanic, and so on.  My point is, Castiel may be in just as many episodes, as last season.   He may start out as the Big Bad, but be unpowered, and come back to find redemption and fight with the boys.  I'd expect no less than a lot of tension, and emotional heart break between Dean, and Cas.   It's the relationships between characters on any show that keeps people tuned in.  Castiel has fallen, but it will be up to Dean to try and save him, just like he's done for Sam all these years.
