Supernatural star Jim Beaver has revealed that he is planning to write an episode for the show.

The actor, who plays Bobby Singer on the CW drama, confirmed his plans to Digital Spy at the 2011 Comic-Con in San Diego.

"I'm actually toying with the idea of writing a script myself," said Beaver. "But as lazy as I am, I might not finish it until season 46!"

  1. Do want! It would be awesome.

  2. The actors are diversifying: first Jensen took on the mantle of director and now Jim wants to write an episode. Jensen has excelled at what he undertook so let's see if Jim will amaze us with his work.
I hope he manages to finish an amazing script before Season 46 though! :P

  3. I cannot wait for this. Jim posts at least 2-3 reviews of classic films a day on facebook, and everything he writes is bathed in wisdom. PLEASE DO THIS, Mr. Beaver!

  4. I strongly support a Jim Beaver Supernatural script.  He's already written a book and he posts all the time longer FB items.  Plus, I think it would be interesting to see how someone who has been on the show since season 1 sees the characters and what he would do with them.  I also like how committed Jim is to Supernatural.  We all know he is a major character on Supernatural no matter what his official status is.

  5. Makes you wonder what Jared is going to do next.  I heard something about possibly producing something but that was a long time ago.

  6. They know that Supernatural won't last forever so they are branching out.  It's good that they are also thinking post-Supernatural.

  7. I don't really know if I could say in any better. I probably couldn't, so all I'm gonna do is second that post.
(And I love his commitment. He's one of the few actors to show that you don't have to be a regular on a show to really belong there.)

  8. yes please!

Also this season I want an episode from Crowley's POV just coz I love him/Mark

  9. A Crowley-centric episode?  Awesome idea!  Maybe that's what Jensen should shoot next year because Crowley better survive this season.  He's my favorite demon.

  10. Any script Jim wrote would have to be fantastic - he's already proved he can write. Of course script writing would be different, but I can't help but think a man with so much wisdom, knowledge and heart for the show could pull it off.

Apart from Sam and Dean, Bobby's been around the longest - Jim's bound to have great insights into the characters. I say bring it!!!

  11. I don't see any reason why this shouldn't happen.  Go for it, Jim.

  13. Jim is a great writer.  I have read one of his books.   I would love to see him do a  script for the show

  14. I second both of you on those comments.  Well said.  Jim Beavers is a mainstay on the show.  .  Supernatural needs Bobby Singer.

  15. Jim has written scripts and plays, so I don't he'd have any problem with it.

  16. I got 12 pages into his book and had to put the damn thing down, I was starting to lose my nerve. So good but so sad.

  18. I'd love to see this script. If it is as hilarious as his tweets, we'd be in for a ride:)

  19. It would be interesting to see what sort of story he would come up with.  I hope he gets to write sometime this season.
