3 Jul 2011
Cancelled Shows Glee SpoilerTV Article TV Show CompHey Guys,
Yesterday certainly was interesting. LOST dominated against The Wire, last years fourth placed show badly under performing with only 172 votes... LOST however performed much better and certainly has given itself a fighting chance against the winner of the second poll which was The Vampire Diaries, which was fought all the way by White Collar in a stunning performance that will see the show exit the competition proudly...
Today has one of the big match-ups of the round, in a show-down between Fringe and Glee as well as Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls doing battle for the right to fight the winner of the Fringe/Glee showdown...
The rules for, for anyone new to the competition are very simple. There will be new sets of shows against each other every day in a new set of polls... simply vote for your favourite and the show with the most votes will win that days poll and head into the next round.
Don't forget to spread the word, and tweet out the competition to friends as well as facebook liking the post...
Also if you are taking part in the prediction competition, don't forget to follow your scores HERE Long time leader Sergey Sevostianov continues to hold off Dahne by one point, the top two sitting above the rest on 44 and 43 points... Worthy of note is Dahne's 100% record in round two this far, can it be maintained through the next few days?
All that's left to say, is good luck to every show...
... and let the battles begin!

I voted
ReplyDeleteSame here mate
ReplyDeleteI went with fringe. I love glee. But if I had to choose it would be fringe. Didn't vote on other. Don't know either show
ReplyDeleteIf Glee wins my bracket is doomed for good.
ReplyDeleteThe Veronica Mars vs. Gilmore Girls poll is showing up as closed for me.
ReplyDeleteFringe dominated! hehe! AWESOME..LOVE THAT SHOW ;D
ReplyDeleteI voted for Fringe!
ReplyDelete2 easy polls today : Fringe and Veronica Mars.
ReplyDeleteFringe vs. Glee is like smart vs. dumb, good vs. bad... and also low-rated show vs. hit show, sadly. After the tremendous season Fringe had this year, I have no doubt it will go on in the competition, and even go to final.
And I voted Veronica Mars since I quite liked what I've seen of the show and I haven't seen Gilmore Girls.
Frin
ReplyDeleteFringe, all the way.
ReplyDeleteany idea why the Veronica Mars vs. Gilmore Girls Poll is closed?
ReplyDeleteShould be fixed now
ReplyDeleteFringe and Veronica Mars
ReplyDeleteShould be fixed now
ReplyDeleteI like Glee, but i voted in Fringe because is better.
ReplyDeleteThe second vote go to Veronica Mars.
Very pleased with today's results (so far).
ReplyDeleteFringe and Gilmore Girls!
ReplyDeleteFringe and Veronica Mars. Easy choices even though I'm actually a viewer of all four shows.
ReplyDeleteFringe!
ReplyDeleteFringe and Veronica Mars today.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it will be an easy win for either, but easy choices for me.
Always remember "When you go after Jake Kane, you take Backup.
That's just my opinion but Fringe is NOT smart, it is NOT creative writing and it is NOT even good show.
ReplyDeleteBut I voted for it just because of my bracket.
Good luck.
As much as I love Glee the plot isn't as great as Fringe and Gilmore was my guilty pleasure ;)
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteFringe and Veranica Mars!
ReplyDeleteGilmore Girls! They have to come further than this!
ReplyDeletesame here...^^
ReplyDeletezre
ReplyDeleteIf Glee wins, everyone's bracket is dead. :-)
ReplyDeleteAmazing in that I have not only watched all four shows today but I've actually enjoyed them all at some point, with Glee being the least on that scale. It makes the match more interesting and tougher to vote.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen Fringe season 3 although I have watched all of the first two seasons. Therefore it is a good show but not appointment TV yet to me. That may change after I see season 3 when the DVDs are available. With Glee, again I watched all of the first season but not the second. It has some phenomenal scenes like the Dream On battle between Mr. Shue and Neal Patrick Harris. I find Glee fantastic TV with a remote in hand. Stop at all music numbers and any time Sue Sylvester is on. Fast forward through all the emoangsting and well almost anytime they aren't singing. Since I am not personally invested in either show, I will probably not vote. Besides, I expect a clear Fringe win here.
Veronica Mars vs. Gilmore Girls is a tough choice though. (Wilson, I envy you because I know it is not at all difficult for you in either match today.) I truly enjoyed the first two seasons of Veronica Mars and I was a dedicated Gilmore Girls fan right up to when Jesse came in and made it a Dean-Rory-Jesse love triangle. Both of them had some of the best dialogue around and fantastic lead characters. I would give VM the nudge for plot but GG gets nudge in secondary characters. In the end, I think I lean slightly more towards VM and so my vote goes to her.
Fringe and Gilmore Girls for me , I just loved Lorelai and Luke and even Tristan ^^ and Fringe is a given ;)
ReplyDeleteSame here. Fringe ftw and Veronica Mars was an awesome show.
ReplyDeleteEASIEST CHOICE EVER:
ReplyDeleteFRINGE+VERONICA MARS FOR LIFE.
Fringe and Gilmore Girls (although I haven't seen this last one yet) for me!
ReplyDeleteFringe, of course.
ReplyDeleteVM vs. GG was toughhhh. Two of the best shows UPN/WB/CW has ever produced. Ended up going with GG though. My chocolate lab is named Lorelai for a reason...
ReplyDeleteFringe is more ahead atm than I expected... Gonna be interesting to see this one play out...
ReplyDeleteVoted for Fringe cause I don't like Glee, and while I don't care for the actors on Fringe the storylines rocks...as for Gilmore Girls vs Veronica Mars...Gilmore Girls is not only one of the most well written shows of the past decade, but of all time. It will be extremely sad if it loses to the Chloe Sullivan ripoff...Yes I said it even though I love Kristen Bell.
ReplyDeleteFringe and Veronica Mars...
ReplyDeleteThe first was easy... no doubts: FRINGE! The second was tough, but I voted Veronica Mars, despite how much I love Gilmore Girls.
ReplyDeleteI voted Fringe/Veronica. Easy vote for me.
ReplyDeleteAh, but I've found that two easy choices makes for a hard next round choice. Fringe vs Veronica Mars?
ReplyDeleteFringe all the way!
ReplyDeleteQuick question, how many episodes of Fringe have you seen?
ReplyDeleteIf Glee wins, my bracket will be the opposite of the dead cause I got Glee all the way in the finals against Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleasantly surprised with how much Fringe is dominating over Glee.
ReplyDeleteAs I don't watch Fringe (I am planning to start watching it though) I voted for Glee.
ReplyDeleteAnd second one I voted Veronica Mars. Loved that show :)
Both Milo Ventimiglia AND Jared Padalecki were in Gilmore Girls? Methinks it's a show worth watching. :D
ReplyDeleteSo do I. So our brackets will be good if Glee wins :)
ReplyDeleteBut it probably won't so they'll be really bad..
Glee and Gilmore Girls.
ReplyDeleteBut my bracket is going to be completely stuffed after today because I put Glee all the way to the final..
I've never seen Fringe so i never knew what a dumb decision it was to put Glee winning against it..
IKR!?
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 months it seems I have to pull the DVDs back out.
It wasn't THAT easy for me...I enjoyed Gilmore Girls as well for the fast-talking dialogue. But I think my undying love for Veronica Mars (the character AND her show) steamrolls over my affection for Gilmore Girls.
ReplyDeleteSH*T.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain man. Voting against Burn Notice almost did me in.
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty, if this contest was on a different site Glee would have a much better chance of winning. It has a powerful fan base. However, this site loves Fringe in particular and genre shows in general. It may be only here where Glee is an underdog.
ReplyDeleteSorry to say it, (as Fringe is possibly the top show on tv right now...) but I cannot vote against Veronica Mars.
ReplyDeletePhysically incapable.
Now how did I know you were going to say that? If it comes to that, I will be voting alongside you and we can both watch Fringe win the match. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a win-lose situation either way. Season 3 of Fringe as almost as good as the first season of VM... O.o (especially the ending!)
ReplyDeleteFRINGE (as always) and Veronica Mars.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Fringe can really win against Glee, I know there are an awful lot of Fringe fans here but I'm still skeptical - Fringe is winning at the moment though so YAYYYYY!
television without pity is starting up the tubey awards again
ReplyDeleteheres the link for the first stage of voting
http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/tubeys/nominees.php
enjoy
i found it really hard voting against alot of my favourites in some sections
I'm glad Vampire Diaries won for my brackets sake but, as a White Collar fan also, I'm pretty damn proud it put up such an amazing fight.
ReplyDeleteThis time I'm going with Fringe and Veronica Mars. I like all 4 shows but Fringe is a lot better than Glee and Veronica Mars is my number 2 behind Supernatural so the others had no chance. xD
Veronica Mars vs Gilmore Girls?
ReplyDeleteThat was a hard choice.
I've seen the whole 1st season and first ep of 2nd. Most boring show I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Glee too. But Glee is much better show than Fringe. It's just my opinion.
Any more questions?
GLEE
ReplyDeleteI must say, this was a hard vote for me. Love Fringe, love Glee, love GG and love Veronica Mars.
ReplyDeleteBut I ended up going with Fringe and GG, because Fringe is absolutely awesome at all times, and Glee does have its bad moments and I didn´t like the last season of VM much, so GG ends up being my favorite there.
Can someone kill me i picked Glee over fringe.. like really.... any way je m'assume je m'assume...
ReplyDeleteOuais, and GILMORE GIRLS!!! I freaken love Veronica mars but they got 1 amazing season 1 great season and 1 bad. GG was GREAT for 5years IMO so yeah :D And wow, i just wanna watch the show again now :DDD
not creative? I get that you dont like it but really? :P
ReplyDeleteI miss Veronica Mars. Think I might have a marsathon too!
ReplyDeleteFringe and Veronica Mars!
ReplyDeleteFringe is the best show!!!
Fringe all the way to the finals :D!
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, tough choice between Gilmore Girls and VM. I've only seen a few episodes of VM here and there, although I loved what I've seen/Kristen Bell, whereas I've seen all of Gilmore Girls and loved it (minus the final season).
c'est tres tres dur de choisir entre ces deux series car je les adorent toutes les deux !!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to see that Glee will be losing against Fringe, but well. I voted Glee. And also, one of my top 3 shows being eliminated already might make future voting a little bit easier for me *g*
ReplyDelete... as for Gilmore Girls, I'm kinda shocked they're losing as well. Hm. I mean, I loved Veronica Mars, but I loved Gilmore Girls more.
Guess this is not a good poll for "my shows" ... XDD
I just rewatched it all before it got pulled from Netflix at the beginning of this month. Hopefully they'll add it again before I feel another marathon coming on.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those shows where I really envy people getting to see it for the first time without knowing who killed Lily. Kristen Bell needs a new show already instead of doing all those bad romcoms.
ReplyDeleteShe's actually one of the leads in Showtime's new show House of Lies. I'm not sure why IMDB lists it as a TV Movie.
ReplyDeletewell, I guess today I'm voting for the losers... literally :P
ReplyDeleteI voted Glee, because I still think it's a great entertainment, even if probably Fringe is a better quality show ("probably" cause I don't watch Fringe).
Also voted Gilmore Girls, loved the wittiness of the show and most of the characters.
Yeah I remember hearing about that, has it definitely been picked up yet?
ReplyDeleteYeah, Showtime has ordered 12 episodes.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, any idea if it's fall or midseason?
ReplyDeleteI think fall but no set premiere date yet.
ReplyDeleteYep, one more: if it's the "most boring show [you've] ever seen", why did you watch 21 whole episodes of it? Seems a little counter productive don't you think?
ReplyDeleteGlad Veronica Mars won. It was actually less close than I thought it would be.
ReplyDeleteWHATTT? They took all the eps off netflix? I was rewatching season 3!
ReplyDeleteS3 was NOT BAD. It was just lesser because the CW decided the audience was too stupid to have a season-long arc... :(
ReplyDeleteimo it was bad cause s1 and 2 were THAT great. but yeah bad was to arsh hahah. Didnt like the ending, or the middle, idk something was off. And season 4 looked AWESOME so im just pissed :P
ReplyDeleteVeronica Mars and Fringe, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteglee is overrated. that's all. wayyyyyyy toooooo overrated.
ReplyDelete
