Spoiler TV: The Best TV Show Competition 2011 - R2 - Day 19 - House vs. NCIS & Pushing Daisies vs. 24

Hey Guys,

Yesterday saw no real surprises or drama, with MASH failing to find the support nowadays that it once had leading to Charmed finding a relatively easy passage into round three. Also Supernatural had no worries in seeing off Burn Notice with nearly 80% of the votes, but less than 1,000 votes for the show is not as strong a showing as the first round. It will need to step up a gear in future polls...

Today has House challenging NCIS in a battle that will be tough to call, as well as Pushing Daisies finding some support to try taking on 24 in another tough test for the action thriller. Neither poll is easy to predict, so good luck to all four shows.

The rules for, for anyone new to the competition are very simple. There will be new sets of shows against each other every day in a new set of polls... simply vote for your favourite and the show with the most votes will win that days poll and head into the next round.

Don't forget to spread the word, and tweet out the competition to friends as well as facebook liking the post...
Also if you are taking part in the prediction competition, don't forget to follow your scores HERE Sergey Sevostianov has shown a rare moment of weakness, dropping two points and finding himself only one point ahead on 36 points of two challengers, STV favourite Dahne as well as Menzie. Can either take the lead over the next few days?

All that's left to say, is good luck to every show...
... and let the battles begin!

  1. House & 24 for me, two of my favourite shows of all time!

  2. NCIS, 24

I liked House wouldn't call it a 'best' show. I loved Pushing Daisies but it was too far out for main stream. The real time concept of 24 was/is cool and is the reason for my vote

I like all four shows but 24 and House are two of my favourites(even though the last season of House was awful)...

  5. I think I had Dr Who getting through to the QTR or Semi final, Mash beating
Charmed plus NCIS vs House is going to be close I think

  6. NCIS and 24 for me!! :)

  7. Already gave up on mine. Maybe I should have done more "SpoilerTV research", but I was wrong quite often, so I'm not even taking a look at it anymore, it won't get relevant in this competition.

  8. NCIS and Pushing Daisies! After all, 24 nuked my hometown! (Yes, they did...)

  9. Yep, only CA. We're a part of LA County. And ironically, NCIS films here ALL the time. My former college is a preferred film spot of theirs...

  10. NCIS and 24 :D  two amazing shows !!

  11. House and Pushing Daisies. While House hasn't been as good lately I still like it more than NCIS.

  12. House and 24 !

Kiefer Sutherland and Hugh Laurie have to be two of the best lead actors I've ever seen. They created such iconic chracters, two of the best anti-heroes you can find on network TV. They are not playing a role, they are Jack Bauer and Greg House, respectively, they just are.

I don't like House as much as I love 24 though, I still have some catching up to do on the last 3 seasons of House while I was mourning the end of 24 with tears in my eyes only a few hours after the series finale aired.

Besides, 24 has more than just Kiefer Sutherland/Jack Bauer, they have the most original concept (real time, clock, split-screens) and a genre (serialized action/political thriller) you don't see much on TV, while House is a more common show often carried out mostly by Hugh Laurie's talent.

  13. Voting NCIS and Pushing Daisies.  Thinking House and 24, of which I would say 24 will have no problem moving on.  House vs NCIS is a bit harder to call.

  14. House and 24.  Again, I didn't enjoy voting against another under-appreciated show (Pushing Daisies).  Emerson Cod was a fantastic character.

  15. Yes I quite agree! 24 and NCIS are the best!

  17. Had to vote for Pushing Daisies. It's my second favorite show ever, after all.

  18. No voting for me today, as I never saw any of these. I must express my amazement that at this minute, only 4 votes separate House and NCIS.

  19. NCIS and Pushing Daisies.

  20. None of these are favorites. (Although I'd love to check out Pushing Daisies...I've heard nothing but good things...) But NCIS and House are shows I watch on USA a lot when I am bored. So that was a tough decision.

  21. not seen either NCIS or House so its not really fair to vote on the poll but the second one has to be 24, the best show ever made, no show will ever pack as much excitement into an episode as 24, edge of your seat, gripping drama that is the one of the only shows that can leave me staring at the TV screen in shock at some of the amazing twists. The fresh start at the beginning of every season makes sure that the show is never boring and although Season Four and Six are not the best but are still better than most shows. It was the first american television show I ever watched and was my obsession for years and it seems so under-appreciated on here

  25. Could never stand 24 and absolutely loved the too-short Pushing Daisies, so PD gets my vote. House gets my vote based on the strength of seasons past and ignoring seasons present.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah I've given up on mine too. I pretty much have no chance of getting a good score.

  30. NCIS - They're both shows I like, but I usually catch up with them during the summer.I think I enjoy NCIS a little more, even though Hugh Laurie is simply amazing!

Pushing Daisies - I've only watched one season, but I really liked it!Plus,I've never watched 24..

  32. Definitely NCIS. I'm not watching that show regularily, but I still absolutely love it, so that's an easy vote.
I also voted for 24. I don't like the show too much, to be honest, but I quite like the concept, so my vote's for them.

  33. Just the oposite. :- )

  34. Just the same.

  35. Go NCIS.  I didn't expect you to win today, but my bracket will be happy if you do.  Hold on for one more hour.
