Always nice to see full sets of every character and not just the star. Plus I like the connection between Wicca and nature via the rainbow of colors in the posters.
That said, they feel more like collectible trading cards than posters to me.
I'm interested in the show, I just don't think it will last. This genre is a minefield. You have to catch an audience very soon or you won't catch it at all. Almost all shows in this genre don't get past the first season, and if they do get a second season it becomes a bubble show that could be cancelled at any moment.
At this point I'm not hoping it will be good, I'm hoping that it will be good AND get dedicated audience. Because good shows are getting cancelled left and right.
NO! Not referencing the Vampire Diaries. While they may have the cheesy rings they would never stoop to sparkling. Vampire Diaries trumps Twilight in every way.
The Secret Circle has the advantage of being on the CW. Unless fewer people are watching it than your average high school holds, it's pretty much coming back. I would say Hart of Dixie has a better chance of getting cancelled than Secret Circle.
This show is going to be amazing. I love the elements and Thomas Dekker confirmed before these posters that each of them will have an element. In the books Faye was fire so not sure why they changed that.
Now those are posters, they look incredible. I haven't read the books, but does this mean they'll each have a element power, if so, them wich element does the main girl have?
I'm really excited to watch these series, I really hope it doesn't suck.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So what I'm getting here is that vampires sparkle but witches glow. Good to know.
ReplyDeletewow, these represent the show so much better than those awful posters that were previously released...
ReplyDeletei even seem intrigued by the show now...

I agree with everything you've said. They are pretty cool though, even if they don't look too poster-ish.
ReplyDeleteThese are nice posters! I can't wait for the show to premiere in september!
ReplyDeleteNice :)

OK, now I am intrigued. I will give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing any sparkling in The Vampire Diaries. Did I miss that part?
ReplyDeleteHmmm They are much better than the generic CW stare-at-the-audience in an awkwardly photoshopped group posters.
ReplyDeleteThe style of these instantly reminded me of the Alphas posters for some reason.
