Except you are talking about the writer team who did Dead Zone. They have been pulling these kinds of stunts before Lost even began in Abrams' mind. :)
I loved it! I wonder if Fraudrey is coming back. Seems like they were keeping her around longer. And I loved the cover of "Your Song" at the end there.
Let's just say that whenever people who have watched that show get asked "what kind of cake did she choose?" or "should we go to the hospital johnny?" , they tend to fall into catatonia.
It was a strange mix of LSD, procedural cop drama and mindscrew, that involved apocalypse, visions of future and past, alternate/parallel timelines, flashbacks, flashforwards, time travel and disappearing buildings, a cane that sends visions through time and cyberpunk stuff...oh and dead people. Oh and the implication that everything might have been in main character's head.
I thought everything was good except the machines plot. Everything else was good for me except they wiped Audrey #2 and took her off the table for the rest of the season. I was really hoping she'd stick around. She's much more interesting than Duke's wife so far.

Or perhaps Alan Wake? Bright Falls is quite similar to Haven.
ReplyDeleteNot one of the better episodes to me, but it feels like it was a needed episode to advance the who-is-Audrey/ Colorado Kid story arc.
ReplyDeleteFinally caught up but this was not the best.

ReplyDeleteInteresting about the disappearing cabin!
I'm not saying anyone stole the idea. It just made me think Lost, I never watched The Dead Zone.
ReplyDeleteYeah I liked that cover too, it took me a minute to realize that it was "Your Song".
