  1. I hate this show so much. Why do shows get picked up for another season when they suck and shows that are great don't last?

  2. For once, I'm not quite sure how to vote here.  Everything seemed a bit shady from the beginning so the twist wasn't as twisty as I think they expect it to be.  The whole episode seemed to be a place marker or bridge to the next episode.  I'm not sure if this one should be judged before seeing the next episode because it does not seem like a standalone to me.  It's definitely a let down from the last episode though.

  3. I smelled a rat (set up) from the first moment the guy showed up and said his whole unit was killed, captured, or ran off. Good to know my Dean Winchester spidey senses are still working ;).

  4. Ha!  I thought the same thing - the Winchesters wouldn't fall for this.  I don't trust Ben as far as I can throw him either.  There's something fishy going on with those post-harnessed kids.

  5. Yeah this is part 1 to next week's Sanctuary Part 2... sigh.

Maybe I will wait to watch until next week and watch them back to back if this episode is so dependent on the second part to feel complete....

  6. I would highly recommend it.  In fact, if I were TNT I would have just aired them back to back.  They can't be getting a lot of positive press for this episode and it may cause them to lose viewers.

  7. I agree...I don't trust the post-harnessed kids either. I think they're still "in thrall" in some way to the skitters. I liked seeing Pope again (I <3 Colin Cunningham) and think that he'll play a part in rescuing the group.

  8. I have never been a fan on splitting a "2-hour" episode into two 1-hour episodes and airing them a week apart... If they're designed to be together as one why not air them together? Just silly.

Likewise, but unrelated to this... I hate when networks air two new, completely unlinked episodes back to back on the same night.

  9. I agree with Daphne, you should wait (record or whatever) and watch Sanctuary, Part 1 next week.

  10. That reply was to you, lol.

  11. I haven't watched yet, but as I have enjoyed the first episodes, I am thinking based on your comments that I should just wait to watch both episodes next week. It is the first new show that I have throughly enjoyed in years. I too hate when networks split 2-parters up. And I also hate when they lump two epis together that don't flow well.

  12. Uh, because for millions of viewers it doesn't suck? Because it was the cable premiere with the best ratings this year?

  13. I thought that he was a bit fishy but I thought he was just leaving the adults to get annihilated, I hadn't thought he'd do something like that.

I liked the episode, thought it was a nice balance of human and alien... Looking forward to part two!

  14. Decent episode with an okay cliffhanger.  I'm not as weary of the harnessed kids and the skitters as other people because I don't believe the skitters are the real enemy.  I don't think we've seen them yet.

  15. I've wondered about that too. Partly because I am skeptical of any enemy being all bad or pure evil etc, but also because they simply have not given enough information about the aliens yet.
