The Playboy Club - Pilot being retooled and reshot

27 Jul 2011

NBC apparently is not so happy with the quality of The Playboy Club after finding the pilot to be very slow paced. NBC is retooling The Playboy Club and reshooting about a third of the pilot. If the reshot pilot is not satisfactory NBC might give the Monday 10 PM slot to Grimm which was delayed to October incase it needed to fill-in for a failed Fall show.

  1. Usually the re-tools happen before a series is picked up or right after they're picked up as far as I know. It doesn't seem like a good thing to have a re-tool this late in the game.

This one might be slipping off my "might watch" list to my "likely won;t watch" list.

  2. Hmmm, that sounds ominous for this series' chances.  If Grimm might move to Monday night because NBC is not happy, then I hope they stay unhappy.  I'd like to try Grimm but my Friday nights are far too busy right now and Grimm hits the bottom of my Friday must-see list.

  4. it is a possiblilty not a lie no one said Grimm is replacing Play Boy right now but Playboy is having problems and NBC delayed Grimm to October for similar reason to why ABC delayed body of proof, premiereing later than competition + having it as a just incase if they have a lonestar situation then on friday they can just expand dateline to 2 hours and put Grimm instead of the flop and they are good

  7. This could be good for Grimm which I expect to suffer a grim death on Fridays.  Then again, Mondays aren't a much better prospect.

  8. If only the show would replace the talentless Eddie Cibrian....
