Thanks to spartigus15 for the heads up.

The fate of yet another actor facing the prospect of double duty this TV season has apparently been decided. B.D. Wong, who fills a major role on the NBC midseason drama Awake, announced on Twitter Sunday that Law & Order: SVU viewers likely have seen the last of forensic psychiatrist Dr. George Huang.

“I actually do not return for Season 13,” Wong told one follower during his live tweeting of USA Network’s Sunday afternoon “What Would BD DO” SVU marathon. “I am jumping to Awake! It’s awesome!”

  1. The SVU cast is really not gonna be the same, meloni and wong leaves, but march and neal (+2 others) joins. I think this could be SVU:s last season

  4. No Stabler. No Huang. With the way the show has been for the past several seasons, they should just end the show already.

  7. It should be. I wished it had ended much earlier than now so it could end on more of a high note but less than that would have to do.

  8. After Awake was picked up, did anyone NOT see this coming?  It was basically a foregone conclusion.

  10. This will probably be SVU's last season or my last season of watching it. Let's face it, the stories got old a long time ago. The cast is what kept me coming back for more and now half of that cast is either gone or having greatly reduced screentime.

  11. Will you people stop saying that this will be the last season already. It hasn't even started yet, stop being so judgemental and at least wait for the season to start before saying that. You don't know how the ratings will be, or anything.

Sheesh, just because Meloni and Wong left doesn't mean that this will be this show's last season. Let's all wait and see and keep and open mind. Adding in the two new actors can very well improve ratings.

  12. And this season hasn't even started your already saying that?? At least wait until the season starts before saying that. You don't know how the ratings will be.

  13. Your be  way too judgemental. This season hasn't even started, you don't know how things will go. At least watch the seaosn when it starts and see what you feel then. With two characters it might help the show.

The ratings are still very high, at least keep an open mind... This show might do very well this season dispite everything.

  14. It might not be, since this season hasn't even begun yet.  I understand that people don't like when actor's/actresses leave but at least the there's two new characters. The show's ratings are very strong and high, so therefore it has a big shot of this season being very successful. dispite the two people leaving.
