    He was one of the best characters on the series last year so even if this was expected after the other cast members were let go, this is good news!

    That is good news! I've been catching up on the first season and, after hearing that Brittany Snow and Aml Ameen have been let go, was wondering if they'd promote Christopher McDonald. It was pretty much a no-brainer for them, I would guess...
    Really hope they'll keep Camryn Manheim and Jordana Spiro on the show, both of whom I liked very much on the show. (True, I keep a spot soft in my heart for Spiro since "My Boys", and have always admired Manheim's work on "The Practice".)
