Their characters may be graduating, but Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will not be leaving Glee at the end of this season, the series' co-creator and executive producer Brad Falchuk said at the Glee Comic-Con panel this morning

*is confused*
ReplyDelete(not that I care, but meh :P)
You never know what the producers are doing on Glee. First they are leaving then they stay.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how that's going to work.
ReplyDeleteI think we're gonna follow these 3 in New York ;)
ReplyDeleteOf course they aren't if they did the writers would lose their pet players.
ReplyDeleteDarn. I was really excited about that news when it came out.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm confused. I mean, they obviously will still be graduating. But why make it sound like they will be graduating thus leaving and new students will join glee club and then all of a sudden them graduating doesn't mean they'll be leaving the show alltogether? Not that I mind. I'd rather have them follow to wherever the current characters might be headed then keep new characters coming for another 2 or 3 seasons, but why make it sound like they'll be gone at first and then all of a sudden we get these news?
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying I don't like it. I do. I just don't like the way it was handled. I mean, something was already weird about it since Chris said he got the news via twitter ... who the hell would NOT tell their golden-globe winning star "oh, you'll be leaving after season 3" before telling the journalists about it? But still. Not happy with the way they handle this. If you get news out, make sure you get them right if they can be misunderstood. And if you haven't made up your mind about it, just keep your mouth shut about it. I just don't understand it.
And he also said that once they graduate they are gone for good.... RYAN WE CANT TRUST A SINGLE WORD YOU SAY!
ReplyDeleteand I have just read that Chord Overstreet didn't sing the contract for season 3. He resigned the offer for a ten episode appearance. There will be no Sam...and I guess no romance for poor Mercedes.
ReplyDeleteI know! I'm sure we dont know the whole story on this its weird
ReplyDeletegee, it sucks to have bosses that can't make up their minds!
ReplyDeleteCause people talk about it, publicty aahah
ReplyDeleteand there will be a character chosen from the glee project...i think that choice influences the choice for the new cast...maybe they want to keep Rachel, Kurt and Finn because they didn't find the character that lived up to their expectations?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you read that? Like, is it a reliable source?
ReplyDeleteAnd that'd make me pretty sad. I mean, I'm sure he has his reasons and I respect those, but I'm sad that he's probably gone for good .___.
tvline.com ---> they mentioned it was said on Comic-Con.
ReplyDeleteBut they said the character that will be played by one of the guys chosen from the GleeProject will only have a limited amound of episodes - a guest role - and only for this season. Well. At least that's what they've always been saying up until now. (I think they always said something about 10 episodes) ... So making decisions about the current main cast upon this character would seem kind of weird to me. At least until they get any fan-reactions.
ReplyDeleteI think we'll see how it all comes up quite soon. Because if the character will be THAT good than I think that they can prolong him/her for another season as a regular.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! so confused...
ReplyDeleteits not Glee w/o Rachel, Kirk and Fnn if they actually left the show will be done!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, even though that one character's name is "Kurt" =)
ReplyDeleteI don't think no one would watch it anymore, since there are enough people who don't like Rachel, are tired of the Rachel/Finn story and don't really like Kurt as well, but one has to admit that they're important to the whole success of the show.
I hope these 3 and Blaine have a spin off...
ReplyDeleteRyan Murphy is a jackass. He treats his actors like crap, jerks his fanbase around, and now he does a complete 180 and doesn't even stick to his own principles.
ReplyDeleteI thought they were leaving? I'm confused now. They are graduating I hear, but maybe they'll stay around or show them going to college.
ReplyDeletewhat?
ReplyDeletehm... maybe there'll be a Glee-at-college? IF they get admitted to different schools in NY city (there are plenty) - there has to be one that favors goofy athletes, Kurt would be perfect for NYU and Rachel... hm, where would Rachel go? There's also Boston with a large number of colleges to fit the various profiles of the Gleeks. Then they'd have scenes together as freshmen trying to make it (auditions, etc).
In any case I hope Season 3 addresses college plans seriously. Plus, we'll learn which colleges take show choir seriously or have good "glee clubs", informative bonuses.
Did Murphy say they were leaving .. everything I saw only said they would graduate this year. I guess that would make everyone think they are leaving since it is set in high school. I guess we'll see how they can bend the plot around this ...
ReplyDeleteTo me this is just another case of Ryan Murphy having absolutely no clue as to what he is doing. No story arc outline... no season arc outline... no direction for the series. He is just winging it and writing things as he goes along, all to often influenced by the fans might I add.
ReplyDeleteHm...how are they staying? Are they all getting jobs at McKinley?Doesn't sound like Rachel and Kurt's dream.
ReplyDeleteUgh.
ReplyDeletewell yeah I'm so happy about it :D
ReplyDeleteIt's ridiculous. If it's a show about teenagers singers of a high school club, why will be appear characters who are not in the club any more? All for the audience...
ReplyDeleteI heard that they were leaving and tht Lea and Chris were getting their own show. So im kinda confused
ReplyDeleteRyan Murphy really needs to learn how to make up his mind. First their leaving, now their not..
ReplyDeleteAnd how are they going to still be on the show after they graduate? Rachel is set on going to Ny so are they going to film scenes with her there? And the rest of them in colleges too... I'm very glad their staying, i dont think I would have watched it without them but I'm not sure how they'll still be in the show heaps if their graduating and (9probably) going to colleges..
Yay, I guess?
