Glee regulars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will not be back for the fourth season of the Fox musical hit.
In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series co-creator Ryan Murphy said that the three regulars will be among the characters who graduate at the end of the fall’s upcoming third season.

I like, i hope someone else like.
ReplyDeletethat's pretty much confirmation of what they've been saying all along: that the show would remain in high school and the current characters will graduate.
ReplyDeletePlus they want to keep the cash cow going so they can keep getting more money for concerts
mmmmmm x< Is this 100% real? if it is, bad news for me... :(
ReplyDeletebut if Santana stays, it's something!
So does this mean Brittany is going to fail and repeat her senior year? :)
ReplyDeleteLea Michele's leaving?
ReplyDeleteSo is my viewership.
Even though it's realistic if you get rid of the main kids the ratings are going to plummet.
ReplyDeleteI never really expected Glee to go longer than 4-5 seasons. While S1 was charming, S2 wasn't that great. It kind of reminds me of The O.C. in that way.
I like it too. MY first reaction was "Yay!"...
ReplyDeleteAwesome! In my opinion, that's the best thing that could happen to Glee.
ReplyDeleteYAY! Even though I don't watch it anymore, this is still good news! Lea and Chris were the two most annoying characters!
ReplyDeleteI saw it coming. They can't follow the characters as they grow, they need to stick with the High School Glee Club idea. But a few appearences, like Finn,Rachel and Kurt showing up to Nationals to see Will's new team, that'd be good.
ReplyDeleteThis means that Finn was the captain of the Football team as a sophomore? And Quinn was the leader of the Abstinence Club and the lead cheerleader as a freshman? And are you trying to tell me that Puck isn't also a senior (unless he's going to be "held back")?
ReplyDeleteI mean seriously, considering we haven't lost any characters yet, and these are the only 3 regulars not returning, that means that in Season 1, these 3 were sophomores and the rest of the club were freshmen. I HONESTLY don't think Rachel is older than any of the other girls in Glee, except maybe Tina.
That being said, I can't wait to see Rachel go. She has a great voice, but the minute she starts singing EVERY SINGLE FUCKING EPISODE, I immediately lose focus.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This makes me so sad =( But, as long as they keep Darren Kriss, I won't complain too much.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they'll go through with their plan and will keep it realistic in that way ... BUT it does not mean I'm not sad to see them go. All three of them.
ReplyDeleteBut yah, like someone said before, it's not really any news. Just some official final word on it. Well well.
Well, I guess that S3 will be the last of having all the original characters. My bet is that S4 won't be so great unless they have good characters come back...
ReplyDeleteWell, i guess season 3 will be the last time i watch.
ReplyDeletewell it's good that their not going to try and keep them and write some random story line to have them stay. it makes sense that their graduating so their leaving. but i still feel like after they leave the show is also isn't gonna be so great.
ReplyDeletebut then again i mostly like the show because of their music.
Are they the ONLY characters that will graduate or will there be more that graduate who haven't yet been mentioned?
ReplyDeleteI'm not totally heartbroken that they're graduating - in fact, I'm pleased they're sticking to the original plan of graduating them off - but I'll be a tad sad to see Chris Colfer go.
I think so ;)
ReplyDeleteAs for Puck I believe.. :P
so basically pulling a Skins? Come on, I knew Glee had run out of originality but having "generations" of characters has been done before and I doubt Glee can do it quite as well.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone else is probably graduating too, Ryan Murphy only named these 3 publicly because they are the show's biggest stars. It's possibly some others may stay; Tina, Artie, etc. But I think for the most part, all or most of the cast will be gone at the end of season 3.
ReplyDeleteDarren is not staying. He is gratuating season 3 (dalton or Mckainely that i dont know :D ), they said he's a junior in season 2. And if kurt goes....
ReplyDelete
