  1. I don´t know the two actors, but Van Houten looks spot on.

As Stephen Dillane was in King Arthur, he must be the one mentioned before. I guess that means we can cross Mads Mikkelsen of the list. :-(
We still need to know who was cast from Camelot.

  3. Have the Lambs stopped screaming Carice? Oh... well close enough.

No seriously she is perfect! No surprise since the casting team seems to have some magical power of perfect casting... *cough*cough*Excluding Cersei*cough*cough*

Dillane is great. He was amazing as Thomas Jefferson in John Adams! There's that HBO connection again... I had thought of him as Roose Bolton honestly. Never thought he would play Stannis, but I have no doubt he will kill it!

  5. Cersei doesn't look at all like I imagined her to, and the blonde hair really doesn't suit Lena.

But I agree that the rest of the casting has been brilliant, especially with the Starks, the Targaryens and Khal Drogo.

  6. And I was hoping for Christina Hendricks as Melisandre. :( Don't know these actors, but am looking forward to their performances.

  7. In most of her pics on Google she has red, dark auburn or strawberry blonde hair.... Here's her in red as a red.

  8. THAT was never going to happen (almost all roles will go to UK or European actors), but I think a lot of people had Hendricks in mind as they read Melisandre.

  9. Is that Carice? I was talking about Lena/Cersei since you mentioned not liking her casting!

Still reading the first book so not sure what these new characters are supposed to look like or anything.

  11. And I was hoping for Viggo Mortensen as Stannis.....didn´t even mention it....knew that would never happend either.

I´m sure that these two actors will fit their parts.

  13. Read this clue about another casting...who could that be? Cressen?

His fate is one that Derek Jacobi has tasted twice. He knew Indiana Jones, has hung with droids and jedi, thrice contended for a Larry, winning once. He’s been a knight (often), an archbishop (twice), a dean, a priest, a doctor.(from Winteriscoming)

  14. George RR Martin has released another Froggy Clue as to another cast role.

"His fate is one that Derek Jacobi has tasted twice.

He knew Indiana Jones, has hung with droids and jedi, thrice contended for a Larry, winning once. He’s been a knight (often), an archbishop (twice), a dean, a priest, a doctor."

This one was beyond my means (I won't share the possibilities listed on other sites), any research fans feel like exploring the net? XD

  17. As far as I'm concerned... any time I see "stage actress"  It's a positive thing! Then being Dutch just adds to it!  (My last name is Dutch, and I'm something like 3/8s Dutch from both sides of my family combined.)

  18. True! There are stil la lot of fun smaller roles too of course... like GRRM hint for Maester Cressen.
